One of the best places we have stayed in South-Africa

Very inviting and stylish environment with high quality (self service)room and owners(Candice and Richard) who really made you feel at home. Nice and well kept premises including a big pool with sun-loungers and umbrellas as well as a comfortable seating area(lunch-dinner). Location very close to Stellenbosch as well as the wineries. Would highly recommend.

Nothing is there to dislike, would be nice if the wifi could be more stable as well as the water pressure for the shower. We will,definitively be back next year. Thank you for your hospitality and your invitation for your Braai. Was much appreciated.

Lovely guest farm with comfortable rooms and the sweetest host

Beautiful guest farm with a lovely view and comfortable rooms. It is safe and well maintained and only 7 min drive away from the center of Stellenbosch. Candice is an excellent hostess who communicates proactively, is flexible and very thoughtful. She helped us with organizing trips and even helped me out when I got the flu. Would definitely recommend this place and I will come back.

Extremely pleasant stay

The apartment with a view of the small lake was beautiful. We were able to watch the birds all day. Among others also the national bird of South Africa the Blue Crane.The facilities were excellent. Ben the owner was extremely helpful.

Spectacular; peaceful; beautiful. Will be back.

Spectacular setting, views and gardens. Everything is meticulous; the host is an absolute perfectionist. Coffee machine is always a welcome addition. Room has lots of ventilation and an air con - necessary in summer months. Plenty loungers and shade by the pool - feet up and start your holiday.

We were a bit sad to find out after booking that breakfast is no longer served; breakfast on site is a precondition for us. We do understand that regular blackouts make cooking difficult, and sympathise with guest houses around the country. Going forwards, RSA guest houses that don't adapt and replace municipal services with that of their own will undoubtedly lose customers. Having said that, a beautiful wine farm with a restaurant that serves breakfast is only 3.4km up the road, so this is hardly a problem.

Fantastic secluded location, surrounded by greenery with extensive gardens and then vineyards beyond, beautiful views. Set back from the road, quiet and yet a short drive to the centre of Stellenbosch and easy access to the surrounding area. The accommodation was perfect, clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were superb, variety and quality each day. I have stayed at many different properties in the Stellenbosch area over the years but this one is exceptional.

Gorgeous piece of paradise

Stunning location, immaculate and clean room, air-conditioner, tasty breakfast (and our vegetarianism was accommodated for). Ben was extremely hands on and considerate every step of the way. Our very early checkout was not a problem - although we were sad to miss brekkie! We will look no further when we return to Stellenbosch in the future.

I loved that there was a minibar etc. available, but considering the price of the stay, I did feel that at least the coffee (and maybe biscuits) could have been included at no additional charge.

We had an amazing stay at Sanddrif! Ben was beyond accommodating when we had to postpone our trip due to sickness, and agreed to move our stay two nights ahead - free of charge. We also got bumped up to our very own, very private, pool cottage - which was an even better fit for us. We had the most tranquil and relaxing three days at Sanddrif, and hope to be back soon!

Best stay we have had in years!

We would recommend this stay to everyone! It has been exceptional, and not often have I written a review with such excitement. We were incredibly lucky to have visit this place, with Ben and Nicole as hosts. The accomodation has all the things you need and the attention to detail to create a magic place was amazing. Great views, incredible breakfasts, and incredible hospitality of Ben. Giving recommendations about the area, arranging for us to play tennis at the property, all in a non intrusive way. But giving us more than plenty of our own space

Unfortunately we had to leave, and it was cold for the season. Luckily the place had a warm bath, inside heating and heated beds.

Great place to stay

Sanddrif Guest Farm is a lovely quiet stay, well-kept, clean and secure. Desk to work at as well as a separate dining table in cottage.

Property was a bit difficult to locate in the dark. No additional lighting provided for load shedding periods. Make do with small tea candles. Parking was a small distance away from cottage.

Our Host Ben was friendly and helpful. The cottage and pool area was clean and neat and we had the most amazing experience. The views were beautiful and our overall experience during our stay was perfect, very relaxing and private and we will definitely recommend it to our family and friends and would like to visit again in the future.

Everything was perfect, I wish it had a firewood jacuzzi outside so we could visit in winter. Love everything!

Goede herinneringen waar we zeker terug naartoe gaan met een glimlach

Zeer gastvrije mensen, mooie locatie, net buiten het drukke stadsgedeelte maar toch kortbij om er naartoe te gaan. De uitbaters konden wel indien je het vroeg een extra betekenen voor je reis.

Ik heb hier geen verdere opmerkingen. Alles werd in acht genomen om de klanten het beste verblijf te bieden zonder extra kosten, vragen. Dit werd ten zeerste geaprecieerd.
