Not value for money for accomodation although very good dinning and food at restaurant.

Good location and good food.

Not taken care of appearance and maintenance and cleaning of accommodation areas. Garden pipes and tools lying around everywhere, really untidy and unmaintained appearance. Inside rooms bathroom are dirty and not clean properly.

The views.

The room was not entirely clean, and there was a constant sewerage smell in the air. The lack of WIFI access in the rooms is a negative and noise levels at times were unacceptable, but probably out of the venue's hands.

Beautiful garden, well maintained, lovely atmopshere. The cottage was spacious and modern. Good wine. Reasonable pricing.

Great value for money and a nice place to spend a day just chilling out.

The location was very beautiful, the staff and indeed guests were very friendly and the food was excellent, and very good value for money, as well. At just ZAR40, the wine testing was a must do. I just wanted to chill for a day after a very long trip from Canada and this worked perfectly for me.

They were a little bit rigid about times. Eg made me leave the room at 11 but, even though I was not picked up until noon (when I had wanted to vacate the room), no one had come by even to start cleaning.

Location

Arrived with full flies in the cottage Found blood on pillow , duvet & blanket Dishes were dirty : had to wash before use Very disturbing: awaking by security at 1:35am : fighting with front door gate: I asked what’s happening: replay was check-in a guest but he didn’t know which cottage they should be in : no apologies. The owner / landlord depended on the security service to check in guest: what type of business/ accommodation service do they provide. Very very disappointed! Will not recommend

A shame the service after the stay is so poor, left me feeling like they have stolen my luggage

The cottage was well set up and nice bathrooms

I unfortunately left some luggage at the property but after contacting them 4 times, they have never gotten back to me to arrange onward courier. I feel extremely let down

The location was great but this would not be my first choice to stay . The farm is beautiful but rooms is not as what I expected.

Beautiful venue with outstanding facilities!

Skilpadvlei was an unexpected surprise in such a good way! What an outstanding venue and accommodation that went beyond our expectations. While we were there, we could see how popular the place was with all the events that were taking place. During our stay, all the staff were so friendly and helpful. I will definitely recommend this place as a peaceful and beautiful location not too far from Stellenbosch and other attractions.

That we had to leave! We will be back someday, for sure. :)

The view out of our selfcatering unit was breathtaking. The bathrooms were modern and clean and huge.

Fantastic family friendly option on the Cape Town side of wine region.

We spent a wonderful 3 nights here and had a wonderful time. The on site restaurant was great and all the staff were lovely. The accommodation itself was fantastic - very spacious bathrooms and we were very close to the swimming pool.

We arrived late on a Sunday evening and hadn’t communicated our late arrival (due to mobile reception issues) so entirely our fault.

The employees loud especially in the morning. And in the restaurant. The conference venue was next door my room but I went around and around the property looking for it. I asked several people for assistance and they were unhelpful. Pillar to post. It’s more 3 star in terms of the room look and feel. No information about property amenities. No map. No room service.

An absolute perfect TEN

Everything was neat and clean. Super awesome stay over. The staff are over the top. Every single one of the staff was helpful pleasant extremely extremely friendly they truly are superb. Will definitely recommend this place and Will be back very soon.

Unfortunately we had absolutely no warm water the entire period we were there. Had to boil the kettle each time we needed to wash or clean the dishes. There was also no iron or towels in the main room but we improvised. Other than this we had an amazing stay

Lovely, relaxing, warm stay

Small villa was perfect for our family of 4. We were plenty warm and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the playground and grass area to run around! Staff was incredibly friendly and the area was absolutely gorgeous! We felt safe and relaxed. Loved our morning and evening walks to dinner. The food and wine, of course, were excellent at the lodge! Town was only about 10min drive away.

The pillows could have been better and the beds were quite firm. Otherwise, everything was lovely! Would book again!

Breakfast was very very nice,aswell as the dinner that we had. The views. The silence.

Bedding had stains on. Dstv was not working ( due to bad weather). Dstv decoder was hard to find as it was hidden at the back of tv. So this tells me that whenever you watch TV and your in bed already, you have to get up each and every time you want to change channels. The aircon was not working properly. Fridge in the room was making sleeping difficult, because it was making this horrible sounds at times. No fresh milk only sachets. (NOT ALL OF US DRINK THE SACHETS ) There was also no indication of what the breakfast times were. We only saw the times when we got to the restaurant, on the menus. When we arrived in our room the bathroom lights were not working. We called the emergency number,to no avail. My husband had to walk to fetch someone to come and have a look. I enjoyed everything but feel they can do so much better(seeing that they so long in the business). Also some staff do not greet.They walk up and own pass you but don't greet. I must compliment their food.
