Decent stay but hospitality was unfortunately subpar

Front staff and bellhops were friendly and helpful. Chalet interior was clean

Breakfast wait staff repeatedly appeared reluctant/unwilling to assist us while being welcoming and attentive to Caucasian guests. Made for an overall unpleasant experience.

The views are excelent. However, i will not use this ficility again. Poor value for money!!!

The room was dark . There was was very bad smell coming from the bathroom . Room was small and dingy . Staff was very good and did the best they could. The room as advertised is clearly not what it is in reality. I will not use this facility again. Breakfast was very good offeribg a vast variety for breakfast.

Been questioned by the security at the clubhouse restaurant of how did we get there as he was not advised. This was done purly because we were people of colour... Very annoying whilst sitting at the restaurant to be singled out and questioned.

The location is nice also the pool. But the standard room (no 2 Pinot noir) is small, noisy, old and need urgently a renovation. We could could hear the people talking in the neighbors room. I am not suggesting this hotel to anybody

A wonderful get away to a breathtaking place

The room was spacious and very comfortable. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The breakfast restaurant was beautiful. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The noise travelled quite a bit through the corridors. It was not too bad as it was only while the people or children were in the corridors not after they were in the room.

Exceptional

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kleine Zalze Lodge. The entire property is beautifully maintained, very safe, and set within a peaceful golf estate that made our time there truly relaxing. The pool area and hotel facilities were excellent, and the staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and attentive. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and our fridge was stocked with water. The complementary wine tasting was an extra treat. We also really appreciated the convenient shuttle service to the nearby Restaurant in the evenings — spectacular Sunsets great food a lovely touch that made our stay even more enjoyable. Stellenboosh was a short Taxi ride away and the Vineyards were all easy reached . Everything was of a very high standard. The only small area with room for improvement would be the laundry service, but this did not affect our overall experience in any way. Overall, we felt extremely well looked after and would gladly return. Highly recommended!

An Incredibly Relaxing Weekend Away!

Such a stunning place! Firstly, complimentary wine tasting vouchers (yes please) which we took advantage of whilst our room was being prepared. The room was perfect, equipped with all the basic amenities you'd expect, and the bed was huge! The breakfast at the restaurant was delicious - they had a hot menu option with several dishes to choose from, as well as a continental breakfast option. Then the absolute HIGHLIGHT of the stay was the pool. Lots of space to relax, umbrellas, and even complimentary towels to use. You're also able to order drinks and snacks which will be brought to you while you're there (they provide a WhatsApp number for guests so if you don't see any staff around, pop them a message - it's as easy as that). It was fantastic. The views were breathtaking and it just gave you a whole tranquil, I'm-really-on-holiday type vibe.

Maybe the shower head in the bathroom could have been better? But even then I'm reaching to find something. It was honestly all great, and we had a wonderful time.

Awesome two nights, loved the breakfasts with awesome views. Excellent security. Close to Stellies university. Fun wine tasting, ordered some more wine for home. Lovely supper at the Club house.

Good location and facilities but with significant room for improvement.

The property location is excellent and the views are to die for.

The room was smelling of sewage for some reason. We asked them to clean the room and there was an improvement but the stench came back. They changed us to another room . The room was ok initially but developed the same issue. The restaurant at the lodge closes at 5 pm and so you cannot have dinner on the premises. There is a restaurant at the golf club but it’s quite some distance which means you need a car, which we didn’t have.

Charming room

The environment in the middle of a vineyard, despite the winter, is really very charming.

Of course it was winter, but it was still very cold, despite the reversible air-conditioning, the room was cold and the soundproofing was really inadequate. And don't forget to clean the air vents in the bathroom.

The location is great, very clean and a great stay.

The included breakfast was not edible at all. Ended up paying at the clubhouse for better food than the included breakfast. Recommend having golf cart throughout the day to drives guests to the clubhouse and not just at night
