A magical time in the Rhine Valley

The friendly owner and staff. The amazing food as well dinner as breakfast. The location in the beautiful village of Assmannshausen and the fantastic interior and rooms that this hotel has. we discovered it by coincidence but after staying here in one week for two times, we decided we are going to come back every year.

Very nice hotel

Excellent location, comfortable room with Rhine view. Dinner (OK-ish) was a bit spooky -- at the reception was a sign saying they were fully booked, but we were the only ones at dinner. It turned out that later that night, at 01:00 AM, a whole boatload of Danes arrived; we met them at breakfast.

The wine we wanted was on the menu, but not available; it would be good if people told you that beforehand. AND: our navigation wanted us to take the ferry at Bingen, but did not manage to direct us there properly; we had to ask some locals. Took a lot of time to finally get there.

Family run hotel directly located at the river Rhine, perfect for a stay in the Middle Rhine valley

Medium-sized family run hotel, very nice staff, great breakfast, located very close to the river with a nice view. Restaurant is also good, with fair prices. The parking area is large and free for hotel guests. Rooms are modern and clean, beds are comfy. Only a short walk to the boats and the chairlift. If you want to enjoy the Middle Rhine valley, but do not want to stay directly in Rüdesheim, then this is the place you should visit :-)

Phenomenal Place

From the manager(s) to the rest of the staff to then overflowing breakfast table and the delicious dinner selections to the amazing rooms with the view of the Rhein, the hotel was perfect. The restaurant garden was perhaps the highlight of our stay seeing as it is covered in beautiful flowers as well as grapes! My wife and I will certainly go back for more anniversaries in the future, one never forgets waking up to the the sight of flowing river Rhein against the beautiful autumn colors on the mountains!

Fine base for a weekend trip

Nice location along the river. Close to the train station. We requested some vegan breakfast options, which were accommodated after some back and forth in advance. The reception staff was very friendly.

One of the restaurant staff members was very unfriendly when we wanted to have drinks in the afternoon. She forced us to move tables for a reservation that was still several hours away. The view from our hotel room was not very interesting. The hand sanitiser that you had to use before breakfast was disgusting. It had a terrible smell which was not particularly appetising. We had to use our own sanitiser to get rid of the smell of the hotel's one.

Frühstück war gut. Es ist aber sehr laut, durch direkte Straße am Hotel und Zugverkehr.

Komfortable Unterkunft, gut für Rheinsteigwanderer.

Gute Lage in Assmannshausen, lässt sich sehr gut mit der Wanderung auf dem Rheinsteig verbinden. Freundliches Personal und Zimmer und Bad so wie wir uns das vorgestellt haben. Frühstück war sehr gut.

Alles in allem hatten wir einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt.

Frühstücksbuffet war gut mit reichlich Auswahl. Von der mit Weinreben überwachsenen Hausterrasse direkter Blick auf den Rhein und die schöne Landschaft. Die Speisekarte kann sich auch sehen lassen. Personal freundlich.

Das Bad ist relativ klein. Ab und zu fährt nachts ein Güterzug hinter dem Haus lang. Der Lärm war trotz offenem Fenster zum Innenhof erträglich.

Schönes Hotel abseits des Trubels von Rüdesheim

Sehr gut durch die Lage an an der B42 zu erreichen, Parkplatz neben dem Hotel und Schiffsanleger für Bootsausflüge nahezu "direkt vor der Haustür". Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet und auch das Restaurant ist zu empfehlen, große Auswahl an lokalen Weinen. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für einen Trip nach Rüdesheim oder zur Loreley.

Zimmer können im Sommer recht warm werden.
