Characterful Home in York

Everything was fine. Clean and comfortable. Near to town.

Perhaps a slip mat for the bath. I was a bit scared of slipping while in the shower, being an older lady. My Daughter and Granddaughter were fine.

Good location ( 20 min walk to the city center) free street parking, kitchen utensils, coffee and spices are available, barbecue in the small garden.

TV didn’t work in one of bedrooms.

It was perfect for a family, lots of space, clean and walking distance to the centre. Communication was also good. Everything you need for a city break.

The beds were comfortable and the space for 4 for a couple of nights was decent.

Cleanliness was an issue. The floors need a vacuum. When we did this ourselves, we realised why they were dirty. The vacuum cleaner is in poor condition and doesn’t work well. There was a slug in the bath. The dishes all needed rewashing before use too. There were some loose wall fittings around - wouldn’t have hurt to tidy them up. An extra toilet roll and some kitchen roll would have been nice. The chair in the lounge has a stain on it. Couldn’t get the TV to work in the main bedroom. All in all, could have easily been better with some attention to detail/tidying/cleaning. The photos suggest the place is in better condition than it is. Needs a freshen up.
