The reception was warm and personal, with efficient check in and check out and advice on local restaurants.. The bed clean and tidy. Clean,, good-sized bath tub. Television worked, though not for internet streaming.. Quiet and very convenient for the village and Château.
There was a faded grandeur to the place, so it's not really a negative as the old carpets and squeaky floor boards were part of its charm... But it could possibly do with a decor overhaul in keeping with the style of the building before long...

Beautiful building. Bed was comfortable. Good hot water. Lovely host.
Room was quite hot unless you open the window and then it was a bit noisy at night due to the trains and the cars passing. The room has a fan, but it’s not very effective.

Moments before I arrived at the hotel, I realized that I had left my backpack on the train. The landlady helped us immeasurably to retrieve it. She drove us to a distant train station to help me retrieve it. I ultimately did get my backpack. If it weren’t for the landlady, it never would’ve happened. And I was only staying for one night.

Lovely location and hotel very clean and well kept and we had a bath.. bonus..!! We only stayed for an overnight and wish we had stayed longer to explore the area and the grounds. Hotel was very historic and definitely worth a visit. The reception has local wines to purchase, try the local Chenonceaux red. The receptionist stayed around as we were late arriving so big Thankyou.
Maybe kettle or some drink facilities in the room, but not desperate.

Exceptional location in the heart of the village of Chenonceaux. Very convenient for the château, restaurants and amenities. Good parking, next to the beautiful building. Sightly faded grandeur inside, but hosts were charming and the rooms and facilities more than adequate. B
reakfast was ample. A perfectly pleasant spot in the most wonderful village.
Worth noting that the top floor is accessed by lots of stairs

No hot water and no heating in the room.

Large clean room. Secure parking
Dining room closed permanently. Breakfast fine but not up to the standard of other hotels of similar price. However plenty of restaurants within 150m.
No coffee making facilities in room.
Hotel shut until 4pm.
Property very dated and grounds neglected -hotel signage faded .
Hotel slap bang on main road and 30m from active railway line.

The fact that the owner cancelling our otherwise non-refundable stay gave us the AMAZING chance to not stay in small & boring Chenonceaux overnight! Instead for just $10 more we stayed at a 3 star classy Logis hotel with extremely delicious famous restaurants by Amboise Station in this Amboise City that is MUCH more interesting and beautiful & exciting! Were so LUCKY to visit there Leonardo Da Vinci's real house, seeing his real bed, plus the Royal Castle, Loire valley Balloon Ride, what an amazing change of travel, something to really talk about! This all just because the arrogant owner of Renauderie cancelled our stay 3 hours before check in, because they got angry that we asked them to keep our bag & Birthday cake in their storage until we come to check in 3 hours later. Outrageous but good for us!!
Please don't think that La Renauderie is a HOTEL. It is not even an Airbnb. Usually in such places you can come few hours earlier than the check in time and drop off your bag, so that you can freehandedly stroll the city and take your pictures until returning to the official check in time. So usually you can do that in 99% of lodgings in the entire world, you could even use their restroom and sit in the lobby, charge your phone, everything without actually checking in. Well, that is NOT possible here. The place has no guests, to the point that they don't even bother opening the entrance door before 4pm, the check in time. Outrageous, you might think, and so did we, and we called the owner leaving a message that we are in front of the gate and only wish to drop off the small luggage. Finally a poor staffer appeared saying that he can't take the bag because of COVID !! In June 2023 when the whole world is open, La Renauderie uses the old Covid reason to keep doors shut and no service to clients! Hearing that, we told to the staff that we won't be able to give La Renauderie a Good Rating and he said THAT'S OK!! So, with La Renauderie's approval, this is indeed a BAD review. Not only that the staff refused to take our bag and birthday cake and we had to walk the city with them melting down in 30 Celsius but worse is yet to come! The staff of La Renauderie sent us to the local Tourist Office to have them store our cake & bag. Which we did, go there however the Office doesn't do Storage! They were so shocked with the request that in the end they did store our Birthday cake there and bag, out of pity for us! And they called the owner! Who, started screaming over the phone, insulting everyone and saying they REFUSE to have us overnight there today!! Just like that, they cancelled the non-cancellable booking on us RIGHT THERE! Outrageous?? And how!

We had to climb several stairs to our accommodation, not a problem for us. The parking was brilliant, on site. The eateries were around the corner. It was just a stop off whilst travelling to Spain.
No bar. It was old and tired but suited our needs and price perfectly.

The hotel is advertising Restaurant Swimming Pool and we’ll maintained gardens. This hotel has not had any of these for over 2 years. Bookings.com is giving false information. The site should be changed
See above. We were very misguided on your advertised information regarding this hotel

Very comfortable room, with everything one may need. Good personal service by the reception.
Since the reception closes at 10:30 in the morning, the hotel was unable to keep you luggage for the day. This means that we had to carry it while visiting the village and the other side of the castle (nice pictures from there, but about 2km from the property).

Beautiful building and grounds.

Size of rooms. A bit sorry we didn't have chance to use the gardens as it looked inviting.
Staff a bit grumpy, felt like we were intruding occasionally. Gates shut at certain hours so you couldn't park next to house. There is a facility to park in carpark opposite though.
5.0 / 10.0
the calm of the place and its proximity with the railway station as well as the castle ( easy, because Chenonceaux is a small village)
the services announced on the site like restaurant in situ and swiming pool not available, and for some time already...because of COVID! Should be necessary for the owner to update information provided in order not to mislead the customer!

Very comfortable and spacious room, nice decor, bed generous in size and comfortable. Nice garden at the back. Good parking and access to nearby restaurants. Everywhere very clean and hygiene protocols well observed.
Breakfast could have been a bit more generous - no tea available, no refills, quantities small and cereal option not drawn to our attention
