An amazing place to stay and dive in the history of France. Highly recommend this place and will return with no doubt.

Historical building in a great natural setting. We walked the park, enjoyed the fireplace in the great room. Restaurant with a fixed menu was great.
Rooms are a little faded and need an update. But this did not distract from the overall experience...

Beautiful. Loved it so much, we didn’t see a lot of the surrounding area - we just enjoyed the hotel facilities. Pool , tennis, parkland for walks and runs. The restaurant (outside) was great and also the tomatoes and dahlias, not to mention the expo of the medicinal doctor. Very cool place! Decor of rooms also lovely!
It was perfect

Beautiful location and the room was wonderfully decorated and comfortable bed. The reception staff were helpful and very friendly.
No WiFi, staff at dinner were a little cold.

It is a wonderful chateau, located very comfortably to visit the places of interest. It is pet friendly, and has a beautiful forest in the territory
We stayed for 2 nights. The restaurant was closed for 1 night, and for tge second night they had only fish. We had to travel by car to another restaurant. But the main disappointment is breakfast. For the price of 17 euros you do not get any cheese, eggs or meat. It is just a big bowl of different bread. You can get an egg for an extra 4 euros, for extra 2 euros you can get bacon for your egg. And you do not have a choice, as there are no restaurants nearby.

Beautiful chateau and grounds.
Spacious room with beams. Large, updated bathroom.
The room decor could have been better and more historic. The brown toille wallpaper was pretty ugly.
Staff was just a bit on the snobby side.

This was a second visit to a beautiful property, ideally located for our trip which had an interesting biology / anatomy exhibition in the grounds,
The management did not have a wheelchair available for my wife to use (the grounds are extensive and she has limited mobility) and a duvet was not provided in the second room which meant my daughter was cold all night, Also, the outside Tomato Bar closed relatively early which was disappointing as it would have been better to have enjoyed the late afternoon sunlight,

4th stay and as wonderful as ever! Slightly quirky but all the better for that!

Great breakfast, beautiful setting and amazing property generally. We had dinner and lunch at castle in the "Bar à tomates" and it was simple, very good and beautiful

A lovely experience in an authentic setting. Very comfortable, beautifully clean, and extremely helpful staff. The grounds are beautiful.

Grand chateau. Lovely grounds and location. Staff helpful and friendly
The room in the converted outbuilding some might find quirky and charming but we found a little odd and disappointing. Stairs up to bedroom were rickety and off level. Again some might find it part of an ole historic building’s charm but my wife who has slight mobility issues too challenging. The meal was in an interesting setting. Set menu, no choice. Very tomato heavy. Again some might like it but not too our taste

Enjoyed our stay and liked everything

The hotel very kindly upgraded our room so we were in a cooler part of the chateau and provided us with some extra fans which were very much appreciated due to the intense heat. The swimming pool & area around was wonderful in the hot weather
The checkout staff told us we couldn’t use the pool post the check out time of 12 noon. As no one else was up there this seemed silly

Lovely setting. Beautiful historic building. Heat wave when we visited so hard to stay cool without aircon. Sure it would be lovely when temps below 30 deg C.
Check in was supposedly 4pm but room was still being cleaned. Couldn't access until 5.20pm which was hard after long, hot day of travel.
I'm coeliac and we'd booked to eat dinner in restaurant as were assured they could cater gluten free. Wait staff were lovely and assured me meal was totally GF.I queried after I started eating dessert as found sponge cake under the cream. That had been "forgotten" when they'd said set menu could be gluten free.
The consequences of that made for a day from he'll next day as we had international travel.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! The chateau is beautiful and charming and the library was our very favorite!!! The grounds were stunning, the gardens, the chapel, the flowers!!! The woods and the underground caverns were so cool!
In our rooms there was absolutely no wifi, could not make a call and my texts would not go through. This was a very expensive place to stay and for that price they should have wifi. They made a joke about it being 20 years old. They need and can put the money in to get new and better wifi.
The breakfast we just had once. It was expensive for how very little you get and we had to wait a long time, very disappointing. The place really was magical besides this!

Room was in the pavillion and was very nice, upstairs with a nice view of the front of the property, The grounds are lovely and there are many caves and underground passages to explore too.
The dinner service and wine selection was sub par for such a grand place. Food was ok. The bathroom was huge and great, but the shower head was on the tub and did not have any hooks on the wall to hold it up and there was no shower curtain around the tub, so difficult to not get water every where and difficult to take a shower one handed.

Chateau was superb including amazing gardens and tomato expertise. Food OK but service at breakfast was weak.

Absolutely loved my stay at Château de la Bourdaisière! The place is full of charm, the gardens are stunning, and the whole atmosphere is so peaceful. The staff were really friendly, the food was fresh and delicious, and my room had beautiful views. Meeting the “prince gardener” was the cherry on top — such a cool experience! Can’t wait to come back.

The place looked amazing, really well decorated and very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay here, and were positively surprised to see a garden festival happening during our stay!
Because of the garden festival, the restaurant at the accommodation was closed. Unfortunately, because we learned last minute and because of the Easter weekend, it wasn't easy to find dinner places around the hotel available...

Loved the arhitecture and vintage furniture and also the natural park surrounding the building that hosted an exposition while we were staying. A great way to.spend times outdoors in the forest.
We loved the food from their garden at Bar a tomato and staff friendliness. Delicious breakfast.
The number of staff is underestimated and they serve rather slow esp on Sundays. The breakfast is delicious yet they do not serve eggs unless extra charged.

location is great; lovely surroundings; very interesting - vintage -decorated. castle has many interesting “treasure” corners. full of history, the castle is a charming place to spend couple of nights … and definitely a “must “ for a visit on Loire Valley.
dinner. not at the level of expectations.

I absolutely loved my stay here! The Chateau is beautiful and the forest nearby to take a nice little walk at the end of the day was amazing. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful with finding nearby stores, taxi's to tours, etc.

We brought our two elementary age girls to stay in the chateau in late March, and we all really enjoyed the experience! Service was wonderful and we loved our stay!
Visiting in the shoulder season meant not everything was open for the season yet, but we knew that when booking. would be fun to return during the main season!

beautiful rooms, marvellous surroundings. a real experience. loved the lounge and drinks time.
nobody carried bags upstairs, which were very steep. bath didn’t have overhead shower and towels very worn. the dinner was disappointing. They were short staffed but there could have been a discount.
8.0 / 10.0
Nice chateau with its own parkland.
Rooms are mainly in the outhouses, which are the oldest parts of the castle. Modernized and comfortable rooms.
The radiator heater in the bedroom was not so powerful.(The bathroom was nice and toasty).
The fixed menu dinner offered in the outhouse restaurant was nothing to write home about.

The castle is amazing and the room was spacious.
Some of the staff were not very kind. The dinner was quite tasteless and you have to indicate the night before what you would like to eat and drink with breakfast.

The grounds were amazing. Highly recommend the dinner and breakfast, which were much better than trying to go into town.
