Host charged me again and awful customer service

Room was pretty.

I paid this booking in advance with credit/wallet and a Visa, but then when I checked out the host charged us again. I realised 1-2 days later, The host had asked my wife's CC when I was loading the car. On 18th July the host send me a message on Booking.fom app requesting the IBAN which I did immediately, I asked her to provide a bank transfer confirmation, after 10 days she didn't even bother to answer my question or update me, no transfer has been done. Booking.com customer service has been awful, after I provided CC receipt and bank statement, exactly what they requested, they now come back to me requesting an invoice? I haven't received any invoice.. in addition, if I don't chase them they don't update me either.

Lovely stay as we made our way to San Sebastián. Florence makes a lovely host.

Location great, lovely courtyard where we could have our takeaway pizza and glass of wine (Florence recommended pizza restaurant in the village). Courtyard very private and quiet. Florence lovely lady, introduced us to her dogs they were very friendly. breakfast very nice. Florence had made a fresh fruit salad with apricots, figs and raisins. Croissants and fresh bread rolls with home made jams. Lovely visit with a lovely host.

Superb

The owner came to meet us; lovely warm welcome. The 'Java' bedroom, bathroom and additional outdoor space were just perfect; comfortable, quiet and homely; not like a hotel. Breakfast in the owner's kitchen with log fire burning was delicious; almost everything homemade - yogurt & stewed fruit, brioche, butter and jams; croissant. Parking. A perfect start before a long journey home. We'd definitely book again. Thank you, Florence.

It would be helpful if the website mentioned that the 'supper platters and wine' which you could order and which were described (sounded delicious) are only available during the warmer summer months.

Good French breakfast, with homemade jams. Lovely setting with idiosyncratic kitchen garden. Owners very pleasant. A/C efficient.

Booked on the understanding that it had WiFi. Essential nowadays. Told it was broken, but owner did not seem very concerned and gave no timescale for fixing it. Bedroom was compact, but adequate. The shower was designed for midgets. I had to crouch to was my hair. Not allowed to book in until 1800, which is much later than I have experienced anywhere else. Meant we had to kill time on a Sunday, with very little open.

We had a delightful stay here travelling through France on our way to Spain.

Such a lovely setting for a night in this wine region of France after doing a tour of the Cave de Vouvray. The hostess was welcoming and attentive, the room comfortable and quiet, and the breakfast serve outside was delightful containing many homemade products! You couldn't ask for more. Really hope to return one day.

We struggled a little with getting wifi connection but this was really not a big problem.

A most delightful place to stay in a most gracious home.

We were warmly welcomed even though we were a bit early - we were offered a light supper - a delicious salad and a lovely bottle of local wine. We sat outside in the fading sun and ate our dinner. Breakfast was great and set us up for the drive back to Calais and home

Slightly disappointed but loved the location

We liked the location. Vouvray is an interesting place and we walked easily to a restaurant. The room was a good size and quite warm. Don't know why the bathroom towel rail didn't work though! We were pleased to have chairs and bedside lights too. The bed was very comfortable

We had been looking forward to the breakfast, having read the reviews but though there were a couple of homemade jams, the croissants and bread were straight out of the freezer and into the microwave. In fact the original bread was rock hard and had to be replaced. It might have been an off day but It was a shame - fresh croissants and bread are one of the French delights!

The smell of damp when we entered the room, the cold. When we woke the following morning, the smell of damp had more or less gone, and the room was at a good temperature, however the bathroom was still cold in spite of leaving the radiator on all night
