A bit Old but god, nice breakfast, close to both train and metro. However the picture used for the Hotel has nothing to do with the actual Hotel, parlament of Bretagne is a 20 min walk away.

Poor quality hotel in need of modernisation. Good shower and comfortable bed. Breakfast also good if a bit expensive (€20). Noisy at night as had to open window due to faulty aircon. Not a great experience.

Take care the picture of the hotel is a different building. The area is not great, we felt unsafe. The hotel inside is fine, the reception staff were excellent. But we feel very misled by the use of a random photo implying it was the hotel!

There is a nightclub close by and the noise during the night was absolutely horrible until 6.00 am in the morning The hotel is located close to a run down shopping center and housing projects so it does not always feel safe The building is grey concrete but inside it is clean and up to the usual Mercure standards The breakfast was very middle of the road, the scrambled egg tasted horrible and beacon did not exist

Globalement déçus par notre séjour: Chambre sale et poussiéreuse. Notre fils de 16 mois a sorti beaucoup de saletés sous le lit..., le lavabo de la salle de bain était bouché, il y avait des poils dans le fonds de la baignoire. Le sommier du lit ne disposait pas de protège-sommier.... Nous avons signalé ces problèmes à la réception mais rien n'a été fait après. L'insonorisation est très moyenne: les portes claquaient jusqu'à 22h empêchant notre fils de dormir... 2 points positifs quand même: Le lit était confortable et l'emplacement de l'hôtel est idéal. Tout est accessible à pied

The hotel is in a great location, an easy walk from the rail station. We stayed one night en route from Paris to the Britanny countryside and one night on our way back to Paris.

it was a lovely hotel, very central for sightseeing and ideal for the Gare SNCF. The staff were particularly helpful, especially when we sought advice about getting out of the city by car to head for Normandy. The Reception staff also provided us with a map of service stations near to the city for fillin g up with petrol before returning the car. Would want to stay there again.

The hotel itself was fine, clean and comfortable. However, the noise from the plaza facing was unbearable. We did not sleep a wink. There were drunks singing and car alarms going off all night long.

Booked this through Expedia at short notice, and knew nothing about Rennes and so was entirely reliant on Expedia reviews. This is an incredibly good value hotel, nice staff, good central location, good room. Cant vouch for quality of food as didnt stay there but many good restaurants/bakeries/cafes nearby. Would definitely stay there again. Please note in rennes it seems to be known as Mercure Colombier not Centre Gare so directions were a challenge within Rennes!
