Everything was perfect however hotel bar was close and no access to food after a certain time so was forced to go out in the evening if needed anything

The hotel had a feisty smell as soon as you entered, and permeated into the rooms. The mirrors were dirty as were the windows. The ‘cosy’ room was ‘small’ and toiletries are lacking. The wind swirled around the building and through the windows, making a howling sound all night. The fire alarm sounded at midnight and woke my partner. I was not asleep due to the noise from the windows. The staff greet you like robots reading from a script but when the time came to leave, they did not want to hear about the quality of sleep, service or cleanliness. As a positive, the hotel looks lovely inside and is well-maintained in the communal areas. Location great.

Roof was lovely, very clean, modern. Some improvements would make it 5* such as better water pressure and a mirror in the bedroom area. Also expected a better view from the 8th floor and not looking out onto a wall!

Everything was good. However, why on Earth are housekeeping talking very loudly to each other outside rooms at 9am and then knocking on my door at half 9 on a Saturday?! It woke me up and then meant I couldn't get back to sleep. Check out is 11am. Please tell them to keep their voices down and be more considerate. Better still: don't send them round so early!

Sorry never got the name of the lady who booked us in but she was excellent. Very friendly and helpful and this sets the stay off to a good start. Thank you! The stay was lovely and comfortable. Been here quite a few times and will continue to do so. Just feel very welcome at the queens. Breakfast was also very nice, bit noisy due to the acoustics of the room but still very nice. Going to the room the room makeover team were also very welcoming as we walked through. Top notch hotel. Well done to all and thank you.

The room was clean and cosy, reception staff were great, absolutely no complaints. Wasn't clear how to get in when I rocked up wasted at 4am but a kind security guy spotted me and let me in. No complaints at all. Definitely appreciated being already at the train station when I checked out. Would recommend.

The reception staff were honestly lovely and couldn't have been more welcoming. Unfortunately my bathroom was NOT clean. There was urine on the toilet seat when I got to my room but I was simply too tired to call and do anything about it. The room itself was fine. The bed was comfy. I simply had a good night's sleep and was up and out to head to work first thing in the morning.

Room immaculate, roomy and well appointed. Double aspect view overlooking main square and Christmas market. Brekkie was lovely and Leeds never disappoints in terms of a great night out and some intense shopping.

Firstly the receptionist was extremely welcoming and polite. The room was excellent, comfy mattress and bedding. The amenities are really good, the breakfast was also nice. Will definitely stay again when needed.

Room was great, looked newly refurbished. Very clean and high quality finish. We had a lovely view over city square. It was freezing outside but cosy in the room. Excellent shower with plenty of hot water. Bed was amazing. So comfy. The hotel is superb, we love staying here. Staff are excellent and do everything they can to make you comfortable and welcome. The area around the hotel is safe and lots of good bars and restaurants. We ate at The Giggling Squid just up the road. The railway station is attached to the hotel but we heard no noise from anywhere despite it being New Year’s Eve.

Paid almost £300 for a family room and no breakfast included. Hotel was extremely busy, impossible to get to the bar. Despite checking in online still lots of queueing for lifts, luggage etc. Reported noisy next door guests, was told it wasn’t late enough to say anything. They were up until 2am running up and down corridors and banging doors! Clearly a group booking. No phones in the room call down and report! Not happy!

The room was fine most of the staff were very nice except for one bartender who took a dislike to our group because he mistook us for members of the travelling community and decided to refuse us service what a big mistake

Terrible. I had already paid but then was faced with an additional charge when I arrived which I was told was a deposit. I checked with the booking website and I was told I was charged in error - over £100!Really unacceptable and sad to see such a formerly great hotel operate this way. How on Earth did this happen? Light wasn't working properly. Room service knocking on my door at half 9 and disturbing me.
