Booked a double bed specifically and given single twin beds, arrived to find it’s a migrant and benefits hotel, not a bad thing until woken by a call to prayer on either a phone or tv full volume.
Was told I’d be able to get a refund for the single bed etc but still haven’t heard a thing.

The staff were pleasant and welcoming, and Tracy in particular was very helpful getting us the information we needed to attend a funeral on our departure morning. My review attached and below does not refer to the staff at the hotel.
Our bedroom window would not open, and our shower was leaking into the toilet area.
There were ceiling tiles down in the corridor outside our room on our arrival, and the fragments/dust had been scattered around the hall by the many children running around the hotel - we were concerned there might have been asbestos present - it had not been cleaned up during the length of our stay.
The hotel was being used to accomodate people/children in need, an admiral thing to do, however, there were many children running around at night creating lots of noise above our room, and dangerously in our view, around the breakfast room in the morning - had we known the hotel was being used in this way prior to booking, we would not have stayed with you - we should have been informed of this during the booking process to allow us to decide.
The breakfast itself was poor.
I raised the issues with the hotel in your feedback form prior to leaving.
Given all the above issues, I am requesting a partial refund please.
I have photos of the issues if you wish to see them.

Staff were friendly
The hotel ius being used as a housing facility for what appeas to be assylum seekers/refugees and persons without a permanent residence. - there should be a disclaimer when booking this hotel, as there were people including children roaming the corridoors in pyjama's and passing cooked foods and pots across hallways.

The dove hand soap, body wash and shampoo was a great touch.
The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my entire 2 day stay. The smell of the hotel when you first enter was very pleasant and the location was ideal for where I needed to go.
The room was a bit cold and I could feel/hear when the other guests opening and closed their doors as they're very heavy. The breakfast was very basic but perfect for myself. No options for dinner, you have to leave or get a delivery.

comfy bed and warm room. Able to make drink in my room late at night. good choice at breakfast.
the position of the tv on the wall in relation to the bed, as it was not in line with the bed but at an offset angle. No cups to make a hot drink at breakfast and some tables were left with uncleared plates, bowls etc although it was towards the end of breakfast.

friendly staff, comfortable bed
Room and bathroom was quite small, furnishings quite basic. my friend spilt some tonic water on the carpet and when she wiped it up the cloth was filthy so the carpets could definitely do with a deep clean

Breakfast was disappointing due to the presence of permanent residents guests at this hotel. I was overwhelmed to note that this hotel did not declare at the time of taking my booking that I as a paying guest will share my stay with asylum seekers.
Your website should make it clear that your policy is to share the accommodation with asylum seekers. Had I known this it was highly likely that I would not have chosen to stay here

The room was very clean and comfortable. I could not fault it as such.
I did not like the air conditioning which did not really keep the room warm.

A Disappointing Stay at Holiday Inn Leeds
My family and I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn in Leeds, booking a room for two adults, two children (ages 16 and 8), and our two dogs. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected for the £180 we paid, and we left feeling completely let down.
Upon arrival around 8 PM, the first thing we noticed was a strong, unpleasant smell WEED. We also saw a group of people drinking outside the hotel premises, which was an immediate red flag.
The most significant issue was the noise. Despite it being late, loud music and constant talking and laughing from the reception area kept me and the dogs awake. At around 2 AM, I went to take the dogs for a walk and found a receptionist, a person in pyjamas, and a security guard in the reception area. They were still there when I returned around 2:30 AM, with the music still playing loudly. Back in the room, the noise from their conversation was still clearly audible. My dogs' sensitive hearing also meant they were constantly alert to people walking by the door, waking us up throughout the night.
Breakfast was a chaotic experience. My wife and sons went first and found the bacon to be so overcooked it was impossible to cut. When it was my turn, I was honestly shocked by the scene. A security guard was present, and it was clear the hotel was housing a specific clientele. The dining area was loud, with children running and shouting in their pyjamas, making a mess. While my own breakfast was edible because I was so hungry, the overall atmosphere was incredibly off-putting.

Everything was brilliant .. apart from 1 night
1 night a member of staff had her as what I can believe as her boyfriend at the counter all night walking the corridors checking rooms . Sleeping in staff room . I walked pasted the front desk I was about to approach the guy saw me sucked this teeth at me and carried on talking to the member of staff .

Staff is welcoming and friendly. Location is quiet, which is great for having a good night sleep after a tiring day. Breakfast is just basic food but enough quantity as I could see the staff busy filling in the trays. Internet was good too.
Nothing particularly, but I feel the room was quite small for family. Basically, they just extend the sofa as a bed. Nothing to complain but it does occupy the little free space so almost no more space left in the room for moving freely.

Clean
Very basic, no air conditioning in the room. Very hot and stuffy. Room very small and cramped. I was not told on booking that part of the hotel was housing homeless people .

hooks on the back of doors and some clothes storage space

The staff were particularly excellent and all other aspects were good.
We had a family room and the bed was against the wall which for a double bed was not as convenient as we would have liked.

Really friendly receptionist who arranged for breakfast to be ready at 7am rather than 7.30 as website had incorrect time listed of 6.30am (which was why we booked this hotel as knew we needed early departure and wanted breakfast before we left)
Just need to make sure details online match the reality

Convenient location
Having used Holiday Inns on numerous work and social trips I booked for one night as was visiting family .
Having arrived late in the evening we were duly checked in by Bruno in a friendly and efficient manner .
The room I was assigned was poorly configured with the bed pushed against wall to allow for what appears to be a retro fitted kitchenette. This is not a setup I'm familiar with and ideal for couples when you have to resort to climbing across the bed
There was a desk at the end of the bed but doesn't allow sufficient space to actually access and use
Shower was only lukewarm and poor water flow
The room as per the hotel felt very dated and in need of investment and the breakfast area didn't feel comfortable with large volumes of young children running around
Though no fault of the staff it felt more like a hostel than a hotel
Would not return

The location was fine the room was fine the breakfast was fine for an overnight stay
Apparently the bar was not stocked they were awaiting a delivery we were informed but we managed to pay for and have some beer and Prosecco saved for later although the guy on reception later did not believe we had some been put in the staff fridge so that they would not sell them eventually my wife persuaded the guy that we had actually paid for them

The breakfast was great.
The floor was a bit dirty in terms of the carpet, there was a fair few stains, including a big coffee/red wine stain near the window. Probably wouldn't stay again. Didn't also realize it was two single beds when booking, but probably more my fault.
