Big apartment

Very disappointing stay. Main issues: • Location does not feel safe at all. • Many stairs to climb with luggage, very inconvenient. • Apartment not properly clean for a guest accommodation. • No air conditioning, only fans — the heat was unbearable, hard to breathe (35 degrees inside) • Could not sleep with windows closed (too hot) or open (extreme noise from the train station all night). • We booked 2 nights but left after 1 because conditions were intolerable. • Asked for a partial refund; host first pretended to help through Booking, then completely stopped replying. Unprofessional host and unacceptable conditions. Definitely not recommended.

Lovely stay in La Spezia

The property exceeded our expectations, as it was more bright and spacious than in photos. We were happy with the location too, as it was a very short distance from the station (good if visiting Cinque Terre) and had nice views. Check-in and check-out were smooth processes, and the host was very attentive. Highly recommended!

The trains can be quite noisy at night if you're a light sleeper

Stay away if you've got baggage and/or temperature outside is more than 25 degrees

The location of the apartment is certainly pretty good. However if coming by train you would likely not get a taxi since it's so close.... and then prepare to lug your baggage up a huge number of stairs. If you don't have baggage and want a central location (and if you can manage without air conditioning even when it's 33 degrees outside - and 32 degrees in the apartment) then this could be a decent property.

Horribly under- ventilated apartment in an old run- down building. If you have heavy baggage stay away from this place. There is NO vehicle access to the property so you need to climb about 30 steps on the street before reaching the building (which has a ridiculous lean). Then you have to climb four flights of stairs. The property had three small table fans which were severely underpowered (see photos of fans if you think I'm exaggerating) Owner initially appeared helpful and apologetic over messaging but then offered only a 50% refund (of our three night booking) even though we stayed about one hour in the apartment before it became unbearable. Check my photos for proof of was 32.7 degrees C in the apartment!!! We had to find alternate accommodation at last minute prices! Booking.com was not much help either. Will seriously reconsider using them in future based on this experience.

Sorry Marco .. not up to the standard expected!

Could not find a more accommodating host, but that is because he knows the rest is not up to standard. I am a builder and this property should be condemned.. without question … the same engineer that stuffed up the Pizza started on this building! It leans at least 400 mm off vertical over 3 floors. The location is central.

Mice dirt in the cupboard. Dangerous internal steps. Shower is dirty ( mould) and leaks. NO AIR CONDITIONING and it was at least 35c. Cannot open windows because of the proximity to the train station and mosquitos. No toaster and no tea towels!

Excellent location, just 10 minute walk from the train station. Facility is great, provided everything we needed for a two-day stay. The host is extremely friendly and greeted us at the property. Highly recommended.

An Amazing Stay at La Spezia

Amazing couple....with amazing facility at the apartment....we enjoyed and had a wonderful stay at the apartment..!

I can't think of anything...honestly....the host couple went out of the way to pick us up from station and keep our luggage early in morning as part of checkin support..and extended there support in all possible ways....great experience at affordable price.

Big, tastefully decorated spaces - extra large rooms (except bathroom) Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed. Close to railway station. Very good value for money.

Superb

Loved it!! Marco is one of the most friendliest hosts I've gotten to know in my whole backpacking experience. Unbelievably kind, helpful and hilarious too! Apartment looked amazing, clean and organised where I really felt comfortable. Location and view was fantastic too.

Could've had WiFi and possibly a better description of the location. But other than that, top place to stay in La Spezia. Definitely recommend!

La ubicación, ya que está muy cercano a la estación central de La Spezia.

Nos alojamos en agosto, en plena ola de calor; el alojamiento no dispone de aire acondicionado, tiene ventiladores (solo circula aire caliente y era imposible respirar, a una temperatura de 33 grados por la noche), se lo explicamos al anfitrión y su solución era poner los ventiladores en las ventanas (la mitad no se podían abrir), y ya dejó de contestar. El edificio está completamente torcido, subíamos hasta el piso mareados, hasta que nos acostumbramos. La ducha la podrían reformar, se sale todo el agua. Hemos tenido que pedir un reembolso parcial a booking.

L'host Marco è stato super gentile e disponibile,. l'alloggio è vicinissimo alla stazione la spezia centrale, comodo infatti per fare anche il giro delle 5 terre . La casa ha ogni tipo di confort, lavatrice, forno, microonde, phon, macchinetta del caffè e lavastoviglie . Abbiamo trovato tutto pulito e ordinato, in cucina c'erano anche delle tisane e la macchinetta del caffè con le cialde per la colazione . Consigliatissimo

Local centralizado, apartamento espaço e com todas as comodidades.

Acesso ao apartamento um pouco complicado. Não há possibilidade de parar o carro em frente ao imóvel. Além disso, há escadas no trajeto o que complica chegar ao local com malas.

Apartamento muy cómodo, lo unico malo la ubicación

todo el apartamento está limpio y es amplio, caben cuatro personas perfectamente, tiene dos camas dobles, un baño (un poco pequeño) y un salon (los sofas un poco duros pero a penas los usamos)

la ubicación es bastante regulera, hay que andar por una calle bastante oscura que cuando se hace de noche lo pasamos un poco mal

Keine Klimaanlage (unerträglich im August vor allem da man nachts das Fenster wegen der Nähe und Lautstärke zum Bahnhof nicht öffnen kann), kein Fahrstuhl, Gebäude liegt nur an einem Fußweg und parken daher vor dem Haus nicht möglich (da ist leider Koffer schleppen angesagt), zu nah am Bahnhof gelegen und daher sehr laut, öffentliche Parkplätze in der Nähe sind rar, Bad zu klein, Matratzen zu hart
