I’ve stayed at this hotel many times, and it used to be our favorite. If you check under my name and my wife’s, we’ve probably accumulated over 20 nights just this year. We even chose this hotel when my wife had surgery because we always trusted the comfort and quality. However, our stay last night was disappointing for the first time. The room had a strong musty smell, the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned, and the bed’s headboard was visibly dirty — it seemed like the source of the odor. Since we had just come from a long international trip and were exhausted, we ended up covering it with a sheet just to get some rest. It’s truly unfortunate, as this hotel has always been our first choice, but the condition of the room this time was unacceptable. I hope management takes this feedback seriously so that future guests — especially loyal ones like us — can continue to have the pleasant experience we’ve always appreciated before.

My room was filthy, black hand marks on the wall and baseboards. Stains on the bed frame, but clean sheets at least. Staff at front desk did not even try to speak English or Spanish to me, so my wife spoke Portuguese. No door man to help with luggage to the room, front desk girl watched me struggle with bags for elevator and no help. Room phone did not work. Worst hotel i have had in Brasil, and this is my 4th time visiting in the last 7 years.

Room was not cleaned by staff sometimes. Only given two coffee pods for a 20 Day stay; you gotta pay for extra coffee. Had to keep activating the room key at the front desk because it wouldn't work. Room needed deep cleaning. Rotten cheese during breakfast. Front desk staff left me waiting for 40 min to make a change to my reservation only to come back and indicate that it was not possible.

Unfortunately, my last two reservations at the Vogue were disappointing since we have loyally prioritized the hotel for a few years. All the working staff at the Front Desk and the Breakfast Restaurant have always treated us professionally and respectfully. The last time we stayed at the Vogue Fashion Hotel, we were assigned a room lacking the basic comforts and amenities advertised. The room was missing the comfortable armchair that is shown in the photos; the air-conditioning unit was broken (missing the wind direction flaps, so the air blew directly on top of the bed!); there was no coffee machine or coffee cups, no drinking glasses, no security safe, and no shaving mirror in the bathroom. The comforter on the queen-size bed was the wrong size - it was for a single bed! There also was a lot of dust under the bed - it was evident that nobody had vacuumed or swept the floor there in weeks. I remember that this was room 413. We arrived late for our next reservation there due to an unexpected airport and airline emergency layover crisis event in São Paulo. So we requested to speak with a manager to explain our situation. The front desk attendant, Igor (who is always friendly and efficient!), put us in contact with a person who identified herself as “Miranda, from the Reservation Dept.” After a brief conversation with my wife, she said she had no record or knowledge of our fidelity and could do nothing for us. We like Vogue,but sadly, the maintenance has deteriorated.

As my home residence is a couple of hours south of Ipanema, I used to prioritize this small boutique hotel during my bi-weekly business trips to Rio. As such, over the past two years, I must have stayed at the Vogue Square Fashion Hotel about 75 or more times! The front desk personnel has always been friendly and efficient, welcoming my wife and me by name and directing us to pleasant accommodations. The staff in charge of their breakfast service is also amiable. However, since I first began to stay here, the quality and condition of the rooms have progressively deteriorated. Two weeks ago, upon checking in during mid-evening after a tiring day of business meetings and medical appointments in Rio, I was given a room with a faulty air conditioning unit, no armchair, no coffee machine, and no security safe. The shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the shower were empty, and the shaving/magnification mirror was missing. In the past, whenever any issue arose, an onsite manager, Michel, would resolve it satisfactorily. Last week, however, upon dealing with an airline connection delay in São Paulo, which affected our check-in to this hotel, we were directed to take up the issue with a manager named Miranda. Her attitude was hostile and condescending, brushing us off disrespectfully as if we didn't deserve to take up her time with our problem. A person's attitude can make all the difference in the world, for good or for bad. I will no longer be choosing Vogue Square.

Vogue Hotel Review I recently stayed at the Vogue Hotel, and while it had its positives, there were a few things I’d want fellow travelers to be aware of. As someone who’s not from Brazil, I wasn’t completely familiar with the area, and in hindsight, I might not choose this location again if you’re a tourist. It’s not in the most tourist-friendly area, so if you’re looking for a more central spot, this might not be the best fit. A couple of issues with the room: the beds only came with a sheet (no blankets or comforters), which felt a bit minimal. Also, the bathroom had some small flying insects around, which was unpleasant. On the plus side, the pool and bar areas are quite nice, and there are some local restaurants right downstairs, which was convenient. The staff doesn’t speak much English, but I understand that, being in Brazil, they mostly cater to Portuguese-speaking guests. Still, as a traveler, it could be helpful to know a few basic phrases to get by. Overall, it’s an okay option, but there are definitely areas for improvement, especially for tourists not familiar with the area.

Convenient hotel in Barra da Tijuca, inside a mall with lots of dining options. If stay close to bar Zeca Pagodinho, be ready to not sleep very well as it will become very noise till later hours. Room need renovating, AC was blowing directly to the bed, there were missing parts to the AC unit, making impossible to divert the AC flow. Bed is comfortable, breakfast is good

The room was big, tidy and had a great bed and shower. However, there were holes in the duvet, stains on the headboard and scratches on the table. The breakfast was pretty bad and the tables there were all wobbly. The service at the rooftop was horrible. The checkin crew was great though.

Fashion hotel. What a joke. This hotel is dirty, small, the towels and sheets are filthy, old, and overused. I had to place my dirty clothes in the bed and lay on top of them, to not be disgusted by the bed sheets. Overall they sell the idea of a “concept hotel” when I. I've stayed at the Vogue Square Fashion Hotel by Lenny Niemeyer many times over the last three years. Its location is convenient for conducting business in Barra da Tijuca. Besides the protected parking offered by the Vogue Square Shopping Center, there are various good restaurants. On a recent Friday, I was disappointed to find a cheap, black metal chair in my room, a stark contrast to the plush and comfortable chair I was accustomed to. The window was also bolted shut, depriving the room of fresh air. Since I needed another room Saturday evening, I booked again—a different room—but the same cheap, black, rusty metal chair was in this room, too! The comforter on the bed was small, and the extra blanket in the room wasn't for a Queen-size bed—it was for a single bed! The bathroom lock didn't work (it was missing!), and there were no hand towels. I'm noticing a need for more attention to the small details that make all the difference when advertising first-class service.

Nice and modern, with a 1960"s touch in the room de decoration. Conveniently located beside a mall with several dining options, including bars with live music. Rooms are well isolated thus, night life is not an issue. Works well for both, businnes and leisure.

I am Brazilian, living abroad for over 15 years and very demanding regarding the services provided in my country. It's not the first time I've stayed at Vogue and I'm used to staying at 3 other hotels nearby, in the same region. In the particular case of this stay, my disappointment is due to the following facts: 1) I was placed in room 228, next to a restaurant with very loud live music, until the early hours of the morning. Even if I liked the type of music (which I don't) it wouldn't be pleasant to listen to. 2) The room service is poor, with the presentation of a dish that is delivered without a lid and after we consume it, we have to leave the dish open, with food leftovers on the floor, outside. When I asked the restaurant about leaving a lid for the dish with me, they told me they couldn't do that because "they would have to have a lot of lids". I felt ashamed of others, for being Brazilian. 3) The air conditioning in the room was very old and did not move the fins. The air was directed downwards, over the beds and there was no way to raise the fins. At one point I tried to move them manually and realized that there was a piece of hardness glued on, possibly by another guest. For me, also shameful. 4) Finally about parking, on the day of check-out it was raining and I had to get the car. I asked if they had an umbrella to lend and they said no, they didn't even offer to pick up the car. I had to get all wet.

I TOLD THE STAFF 1 month ago, that it was a mistake booking, and they said no problem, we've canceled it. Now 1 month later it looks like i was charged anyway for not even staying there. I even told Expedia too!! so SHAME ON BOTH OF YOU!!

He was on his was out staff change as he left right after we did check in we asked about parking and basically told us figure it out not my problem. Horrible horrible horrible I stay in hotels every week this was the worst check in experience ever. He should find a job better suitable to him.

I booked 3 days for a busienss trip. They have NOT cleand the room. Just made the bed. Dirty room. they took the towels first day, never bring back new ones dispite of complaining. I left the hotel early. Changed hotel. Hotel is not well mantained.
