The place is a residence on what I didn’t read through small island in Rio. It’s quite cozy and comfortable. I didn’t use much of outside facilities, due to bad weather in Rio during my stay but I wish I had.

The first day the men on reception didn’t give me much of information on house rules and how to move around the island, I have struggled to get there as Uber driver didn’t know how to get me there. I would like to have the instructions on how to deal with boat taxis before I got there. Considering I was traveling with big luggage if I knew I would possibly opt for another accommodation. I wasn’t sure what’s the deal with breakfast neither, would be nice to have someone explain what are the options.

Lovely place to stay

Very nice atmosphere, clean, the staff is lovely and the location is charming. The beds were comfortable and the rooms spacious. Thank you Jessica for letting us stay a bit around while waiting for our late flight.

A total disappointment for me and my family would not recommend to anyone.

The service staff were very attentive and were always taking care of us very well.

I was disappointed I booked a presidential room considered to be the best of them and it turned out to be a total disappointment cold water when showering mosquitoes and ants uncomfortable room was very frustrating for my stay and my family in this hotel.

Location and helpful staff. Enjoyed the exotic experience and relaxed atmosphere.

Not as clean as expected, noisy with builders right next door. Room was only cleaned on request. Balcony door was broken, but I insited on my privacy . Breakfast was oky. A selection of breads. I enjoyed my stay but wanted it better to justify the cost.

Beautiful location with super friendly staff. The owner was always happy to help us despite the language barrier. The room was big and comfortable. There was a lovely outside area where you can have breakfast with a view of the lake.

Calm, cozy, clean

Even though we live in Rio, we decided to visit Ilha da Gigoia and Casanova Residence was a great choice to stay in. The place is cool, you can use all facilities and you feel very comfortable over there. Carol was great and she was available anytime we needed. I highly recommend it to anyone. Good internet, good bedroom size. Very clean bathroom.

We didn't have any issues.

NO RECOMENDABLE

Lamentablemente nos sentimos estafados. Hice reserva para 6 personas y nos separó quedando 2 pasajeros en la casa principal y el resto a una cuadra de distancia por pasajes tipo favela dentro de la isla. Nada es lo que parece, NO ES UN HOTEL, SOLO UNA RESIDENCIAL DE MALA MUERTE. Comenzó a llover y el "hotel" se empezó a filtrar por las ventanas, los pasillos se inundaron, la cama grande de la cabaña tiene rota una pata y la tienen afirmada con una piedra, la puerta de la cabaña no cierra sin la llave y está descuadrada permitiendo el paso de insectos libremente. La tv no funciona, enciende solamente pero no permite hacer ninguna funcion. Según comentarios de Booking el desayuno era bueno, pero llegamos a desayunar 9:00 am y era otro desastre. Había un par de rebanadas de queso y jamon, quedaba café para 1,5 tasas, no habia jugo, habia 2 panes, todo mal... Debimos salir y estar fuera todo el dia para llegar solo a dormir. El foco de la calle hace parecer que es de dia durante toda la noche porque la cortina no tapa la luz. Las luces de la habitacion no funcionan bien. Pesima experiencia. El cobro es muy caro para las instalaciones que tiene, siendo mas caro que un hotel de 4 estrellas por noche.

Gostei do ambiente externo.

A cama do quarto Roma 5, tinha um buraco fundo no colchão, prejudicando o sono . E no banheiro tinha infiltração no box . O ar condicionado também deixou a desejar. Fora isso estava ok. Uma observação, funcionários não são simpáticos, tirando o gerente Tiago, que foi o único que conversou com a gente. Eles também poderia oferecer os serviços, ex: bebida e etc..

Minha estadia foi extremamente decepcionante, pois as expectativas criadas pela nota e pelos comentários no Booking não se concretizaram na prática. Gostaria de alertar aos futuros hóspedes que o hotel não oferece serviço de quarto durante a estadia, deixando a limpeza e organização por conta de quem está hospedado. O café da manhã é excessivamente básico e inconsistente, sem itens padrão como ovos mexidos todos os dias. No quarto 5, onde fiquei, o conforto foi inexistente devido a um lado da cama de casal estar completamente afundado e o ralo do box estar entupido. Além disso, enfrentamos um problema grave com o ar-condicionado em pleno calor de dezembro: o aparelho vazava tanto que alagou o quarto; embora eu tenha reportado o problema imediatamente aos funcionários, nada foi resolvido, resultando em um segundo dia acordando com o quarto novamente alagado. Costumo viajar muito e não sou uma pessoa crítica, mas me senti profundamente lesada por essa experiência e espero que o hotel realize as manutenções e melhorias necessárias para não prejudicar os próximos clientes

Fotos do hotel em estado novo, atualmente em 2026, encontra-se totalmente diferente. O anfritião da recepção foi bastante atencioso e cordial. O café da manhã em nível inferior a um hostel. Pão francês seco, uma das funcionárias da cozinha de cara fechada, jogando o queijo na mesa como se fosse jogar pra um cachorro. Pagamos aproximadamente 5.200,00 em quatro diárias e sabem qual o suco servido no café da manhã? TANG OU DE OUTRA MARCA DE SUCO EM PÓ! Uma pousada colecionadora de poeira, simples ao extremo com o valor equivalente a um hotel de quatro estrelas do Rio. A noção de valores passou longe desse local!

Si vous cherchez un lieu pour être au calme et vous reposer, ça n’est peut-être pas le meilleur endroit. Beaucoup de passages de taxis boat sur la rivière.

Chuveiro não esquentava, tivemos que tomar banho frio e deixar aguardar um técnico chegar. Após a visita dele, pouca coisa mudou, a água fervia. Ou seja, quente demais ou fria. O que poderia ser facilmente resolvido com um regulador de maior vazão de água para o chuveiro. As cobertas também não estavam limpas, pareciam já terem sido usadas. O recipiente que guarda papel higiênico muito sujo.
