For a highly rated hotel this was not a great experience. Room wasn't very clean, all furniture looked used/scratched, rips in chair etc. View of construction, surrounded by buildings. neighbours were playing reggaeton until 3 in the morning and can hear the pipes all throughout the night.

For the price I expected better

The breakfast was excellent

There was a problem in the system that forced us to change rooms. We had already spent a lot of time organizing our clothes in the first room, and it was a huge inconvenience to change it. Staff didn't apologize or offer to help with anything. It wouldn't have bothered me so much if the hotel wasn't so expensive. It was my first time staying at a place like this, and I was disappointed.

Breakfast was good, one morning the chef was there and was serving guests himself - thats a great tell of care for guests. Lovely staff!

Cant really mention anything here, I just had a really good stay. If i have to really mention it it would be the gym didnt have a lot of things but even then - i could do all i needed.

Comfortable Stay

Overall property is in a good shape, breakfast is good. Rooms are clean, mattress is comfortable and linen is in good condition. Hotel staff is very helpful and goes out of the way to assist the guest. Have left luggage facility free of charge.

Communication is a big challenge, English is very less known and hardly any staff speaks proper English. Hotel location is far from the prime tourist attractions, however, neighborhood is quite, restaurants and super market are near by.

The pool is kinda sad. There was a very rude guy at the reception. I Wasn’t able to get his name because his name tag was flipped around. The couple who I was with also had a very poor experience with this gentleman. Recommend that he work in an office away from people. Very rude. Totally not acceptable to be recovering guest as the walk in.

Excellent Hotel and great staff !

First the Staff are very professional and friendly . Specially Jonatan ( very professional) , Bianca friendly and helpful, Paulo speaks good English and very friendly . Staff professional and helpful. Good break fast and clean Rooms and good room size . Near downtown shopping , and Barra shopping.

All great . If you like to go to another part of the city you need a Metro .

Good stay, good relax time, good food and attentive staff

Breakfast is very complete and you can ask for omelets, tapiocas and special preparations. Hotel is very close to the beach and you can safely reach it in 10 mins walking. There is a Rooftop you must try and the gym is very good too.

During my stay in my floor there was a maintenance in another room that was generating noise, but as I was most of time in the roof top or in the beach, it was not so painful.

Hotel structure, breakfast and room cleanliness. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.

Radisson is a global hotel chain and it's unacceptable that people working at the reception do not speak English. Maybe one girl would speak Spanish and English but the other staff, none of them. The swimming pool closes too early and it does not make sense as people come back to the hotel in the evening trying to enjoy the facilities but the swimming pool is closed.

Location was good

Celling was leaking for all my stay which was 3 days and bathroom was with mold. Didn't expect to see that in Radisson. Also breakfast with no salad at all.

Great for short time solo travel.

The best of this stay was the location, close to my family house, many good restaurants, malls and beach is around 2 miles from hotel.

The bathroom was with signs of poor cleaning for long time wit some small spots of mildew. But as soon I arrived at the room a cleaner lady knocked on the door and cleaned everything again. The attention and readness of the employees makes the stay pleasant. The room is a bit smaller than I expected.

great location for your stay in Rio

location is about 40 minutes from Galeo airport. the area is safe and clean. staff were amazing 10/10. the pool hours are 9am-5pm which isn't very clear. breakfast was decent. beach is a short walk away - better than coco cabana.

the room (APT 1125) needs a bit of maintenance. was A LOT of mould at the bottom of the walls. other than that the hotel was good

I wouldn’t recomend this hotel considering the other options available with this budget

The rooftop view although blocked by surrounding buildings

The check in process almost took us 3-4 hours, they gave us a 2 single bed room (we requested a matrimonial), then a room with a buzzing sound on the AC. Finally they gave us a room with a broken bathrooms handle, and with a malfunctioning extractor in said bathroom. We went on a group of 7 people and 3 of us got sick because of the hotel’s food. They only have people capable of dealing with public in reception, in other areas they are NOT kind nor friendly. The elevator works with the same key of the rooms, you can only access your floor and the common areas, but the cards work very poorly, in our group we had to request at least 5 card changes because they lost their functioning The pool is only 80cm deep, so you cant swim, and it is only open until 7 p.m. They serve the same breakfast every day, poorly preserved food and bad quality bread. Cold coffee from the dispensers. The only options for sweetening your drinks were sugar or sucralose. They charge you about everything you take from the minibar or every other service that you can think. If you order room service they have a “foreign tax” that they charge you at check out

Overall it’s a rip-off, like most things in Brazil. Highly incompetent management and inflated prices.

Staff were very polite.

It’s filthy. They charge you £100 per night, but the price does not correspond to the service that is expected of it. Their staff don’t even have vacuum cleaners. The bathrooms are not cleaned properly, the towels are worn out and have stains and they haven’t heard about the existence of duvet covers and mattress protectors. They just put two sheets, then the duvet a filthy bed cover. The air conditioning is broken, so it either blasts cold air or you have to turn it off. You can’t set it to a certain temperature.

The breakfast is really Nice, the staff, they can be nice if you ask or need any thing.

I had to ask all the time to Clean the room, it seems that they don’t see the dirt, I found it super humid place, about the food, if you order anything, make sure they understand what you want, as they seems not to listen you, not many restaurants around!

Attempt at having modern cuisine is not working. Food is at best “good”. Portions a bit small. Nothing was “great”. asked for Premium King room which has the TV to the extreme side of the bed when there is an empty wall in front of bed(?). A full king size bed comes with just 2 small pillows. There is no closet, just an aluminum frame to hang clothes. Thermometer is off to the side and thermostat cannot read temperature correctly. Air vents blow air direct on top of bed. The ironing board is worn and full of stains, otherwise everything is clean. The only thing that makes the room “premium” is the larger king bed which is actually a very normal size bed in almost every major market worldwide. Before moving to Radisson, I was one night at the Hilton Barra which cost 11% more but is much much much nicer. Overall Radisson Barra is fine and the staff is good, but it is not a 4-star hotel.

Comfortable hotel with very friendly staff

Modern hotel with a restaurant and bar, as well as a pool. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Wi-fi was fast and reliable and AC worked well. Staff was also friendly which is always a plus. The hotel is in Barra Tijuca so away from the centre and touristic hot spots of Ipanema and Copacabana. So probably best suited for people looking for a place away from the hustle and bustle.
