It is a OK hotel with necessary amenities with a decent restaurant that attracts tourists and locals. The problem is the location. You need to have a 10 mins walk from the train and bus central stations. The nearest bus stop is also two blocks away and no much attractions and restaurants nearby. Others for an EU hotel are acceptable. If you want to go Austrian lake villages, it is better to stay closer to bus station. If you want to reflex in the city for days, stay closer to the old town.

Convenient! This was close for us from the train station. And close to Mirabell Palace and Garden. We attended a Mozart concert there. We walked to the Hohenschloss Fortress too. The only thing I didn’t like was the in-room coffee flavor - in our room, I had to stand on a chair to operate the tank. Coffee was good for the excellent breakfast buffet.

This hotel projects it self as 4 stars and the conditions of this hotel are deplorable. Right in front of 20 train tracks with trains going by all the time. This alone take them out of the 4 stars realm. A super slow 1965 and small elevator. Uncomfortable beds and pillows. Even the front desk staff who were trying their best to feel friendly told us that the food next door at a coffee shop was better than theirs. This hotel is a total deception.

Apparently, there are 2 sides and 2 entrances into the hotel: one reception side looks newer with a bright orange backdrop and modern artwork on the wall, the other looks more homey and older. Our family room was on the older side. That was the only confusing part. Other than that, the room was clean spacious for our family of 4 (European standards). Our room was made everyday, but they did not provide any additional toiletries; we stayed for 3 nights and no additional shampoo/soap/lotion were provided the 2 times they made our room. There was no phone in the room to call housekeeping or reception, and it was always late when we returned to the hotel, so it was a hassle to go ask the reception. Luckily we packed some ourselves. The staff was nice. Upon my check-out, I was given a small treat for my birthday, which I was surprised they knew - perhaps from Expedia profile? This was a pleasant surprise and I appreciated it. Even though the weather was nice, we were not allowed to have breakfast outside, which was a shame. Parking is conveniently located right behind the hotel and costs 20 EUR per day. The location is next to old town, with many eateries nearby. I recommend the hotel.

My second stay here: centrally located, close to the train station and public transport, but easily walkable for many of Salzburg's attractions. Excellent value, spacious room and bath, with every amenity required for a comfortable stay, comprehensive breakfast buffet. My room had a received a nice comtemporary upgrade in its decor from my last visit, which added to the experience. One note: laundry services are available at the hotel, but not on weekends. The front desk was able to direct me to a nearby laundromat, a 10-minute walk away.

Although the rooms do feel a bit dated, they are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The property is a short walk from the train station and the old town. Although the train station area does become a bit sketchy in the evenings, there is really no need to go/pass through it other than when arriving or leaving. All the attractions and areas of interest are in the old town area, a 15 minute walk from the hotel.

The room I had can’t be called a room. It was a walk- in closet. Tiny, shabby - uncomfortable bed- more like a hostel than a hotel. I could not sleep for two nights and had to change the room for extra money, of course . Property so tired - I felt it was all polluted. No show just a bath inbejich was hard to climb. I was not able to use any body wash. It was unseeable . Simply a disgusting room.

We loved our stay. Really great hotel and very helpful English speaking staff. 8-10min walk from train station, 3-5 min to Mirabellgarten (at least 6 shooting locations from sound of music). We had the junior suite, 10/10 shower/water pressure with plenty of towels for a family of 4. Very comfortable pillows and blanket. Excellent breakfast with real eggs, bacon, sausage and many other items. Thoroughly enjoyed our 3-day stay.

Nice hotel. We, a family of four, stayed in a family room, and it's fine if you dont plan to spend a lot of time in the room. Room was nice and clean. Not a lot of space for bags, and with a small bathroom. But it works fine for a couple of nights. Breakfast ok, nothing special but the garden is really nice. It's a seven minute walk from the train station and around 20 mins to the old town. Overall, a nice stay.
