Great Location and cozy rustic feel hotel just like its name " cocoon"

Best location, 5 min walk to the main station with eateries just across the road. We will also given free bus/tram/train access which was a big bonus !

It will be good if the room is able to provide us with kettle to boil water.

Great location and great stay

The location is great. You can see it from the train station and to the city center it is only like 20 minutes walk (through the park you can go and near the river) or you can take the bus. We received the bus tickets that were free for us from the hotel. The breakfast was so delicious and the hotel was not crowded. The ambience was modern with lots of greenery.

The room was a bit smaller but other than that all was great.

The breakfast was very good, with a good choice. The bedroom had a very comfortable bed. The shower was excellent. The bar was very nice. The staff were most helpful and friendly. The location was great, near bus and train stations.

There was no table or desk in the bedroom on which one could write.

Overall, it's a great hotel for a short stay but not suitable for business travellers.

Location is perfect with short distance to the train station and to the bus station where you can go to anywhere. Room is clean and the television has a few channels and Youtube also.

There's is no table in the room, which is a bit inconvenient for people who need it. While there is no fridge in the room, you can ask the reception to store for you.

The rooms were bit congested. Had taken two rooms for a family of (as one of our kid was a teen) Got a connecting room, but still no sufficispace to keep 2 Bags per room The blankets(quilt) were only single, when requested for a double they dint have any in the hotel. No tea table or a small space to keep stuffs No kettle in the room, there is a common kettle at the hotel front desk Ground floor No iron box facility in room or on call, have to use a common iron table and iron box in the luggage room beside reception at Ground floor

I loved Salzburg and will visit again and stay at this hotel. It was so nice

Gorgeously decorated. Cozy lobby. We had frequent rain during our stay but we enjoyed just sitting in the lobby/cafe and reading and looking at plants. I want to go back! My husband was suffering a kidney stone during our stay and this Cocoon helped him relax some which is saying a lot!

The hotel is very beautiful, the staff is pleasantly friendly. Tacos at the Bar were great. Our Room had air condition, we had a great temperature through the whole night even though the temperatures were over 30 degrees outside. Safe and affordable parking inside the hotels courtyard.

The toilets below the front desk were extremely dirty.

Now this is what a hotel should be!!!! beautiful rooms, incredible staff, great service, always going above and beyond to help - I had a baby with me and they were so kind and caring with her- great location- short walk to town and opposite train and bus station for trips to mountains. I can’t fault this place. Incredible value for money. I would Come back in a heartbeat! Oh and delicious breakfast!

Great rooms, staff need to up their game.

Hotel was modern and felt premium. Free water and apples upon arrival! Rooms were clean and bedding very comfortable. 9 parking spaces available at the back of the property, but you'll need to pay €24 to use one which feels quite expensive given the local public options for 24hrs are all under €20.

Unfortunately, our experience at Hotel Cocoon Salzburg didn’t quite meet expectations. We were first given a twin room despite asking for a double, and the front desk staff member was cold and unhelpful. The second room we were moved to had a strong, unpleasant drain smell which the house keeper agreed with and needed to clarify with the manager. We were told to wait at the room for the manager, but after 10 minutes nobody had arrived. We walked to the reception for the second time, and when we raised this, the manager reluctantly offered a room on the first floor, dismissing our concerns and claiming no other rooms were available—despite the website showing several options. Overall, we felt fobbed off and unwelcome, which really took the shine off our stay. There was a second lady on reception who was much more friendly and made us feel more welcome when she addressed the issue for the final time. Perhaps the manager should stick to managing the hotel, rather than making guests feel unwelcome?

Location right next to the central station Ambience of the hotel was good

Little to no facilities in the room,no telephone ,no tea coffee maker,very little storage space. They provided 2 small duvets instead of a traditional big one. As a result it kept sliding down to the floor at every little movement during sleeping. The pillows were too big. The bed size too small. The mattress too hard. Overall, this was probably the worst sleeping experience in any hotel we've been to. When the room is so small, a good idea would be to invest in sound proofing the bathroom a little, no further explanation required I believe. Breakfast is decent but absolutely not worth 20EUR per person. And considering we paid about 180EUR per night, this was not a good experience. We would consider other options in the future.
