Our experience

The setting is perfect, just a wall away from a relatives house and the caravan was very comfortable despite being the cheapest option. Without exception all the staff I've spoken to have been very friendly and co-operative.

On a negative note I must say something about our meal last night. I have to say it would rate as the worst I've ever tried to eat & I was extremely embarrassed that I had encouraged the others to join us for a farewell, thank you meal. Suffice it to say , I would certainly come back to stay but would not visit the restaurant again....a shame as the barman was very friendly and did all he could for us.

Great location with restaurant and bar onsite. Helpful and friendly staff were prompt in assisting with our requests.

Minor issues that could make a good accommodation into a great accommodation. We did not have quite enough towels, toilet roll, or soaps (kitchen and body) provided in advance for our stay. Upon our request, the courteous evening manager gave us additional supplies.

The size, comfort and quality of the accommodation. Parking next to lodge. Friendly and helpful staff. Food was delicious.

No breakfast available at restaurant and unfortunately driving range was closed the day we wanted to use it. TV had a picture fault kept going dark.

Amazing, clean & modern friendly caravan park. Ideal for families

This caravan park is so clean, very friendly accommodating staff, great facilities on park, ideal location for exploring the area. Lovely pub on site offering meal deals. Golf ball, splash pads, play parks , I will return as the little touches in the caravan provided made us feel very welcomed, my puppy even got his own gift box full of items, free WiFi in caravans. golf course, crazy golf.

Went for breakfast over an hour wait - wouldn't recommend, builders started work on new extension to park at 7.30am with lorries turning up ! Lack of instructions for Oven, Microwave and Heating, lack of shelves in shower, Kitchen and Lounge. Speeding cats in residential area

The park was peaceful, with a restaurant and bar on site and a pub over the (busy) road that do great offer (Tuesday is burger night and Wednesday steak night). The staff there were great.

I tried contacting the resort beforehand but you get to an Away Resorts telephone line or email on the Booking.com system, and they weren't very helpful at all. However, the staff at the resort were great and called the day before so I could ask questions then. A bit more toilet paper would be good!

Very impressed for the price of the stay!

We booked a superior caravan 8 berth for a fantastic price for 3 nights during the Easter holidays. 4 adults and 4 children under 7 stayed there. The double bedroom was large enough to fit in a travel cot and we were surprised that it also had a little en-suite! The living space was big enough that we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other and we were very impressed with the amount of storage available. The dining area was a little small but there was also a breakfast bar that could be utilised. The shower was bigger than expected and had excellent pressure. The site itself was very quiet which was great for us. They were building new foundations for more caravans during our visit but we were placed at the far end of the site so we didn’t hear any building noises at all. Lots of wildlife was also there and we were lucky enough to see two fawns on a walk through the site. The playpark was great and our children (between 2 and 7) loved playing there. Unfortunately it was a bit colder when we went so the splash pad wasn’t in action but if we had gone the week before I’m sure they’d have loved it. We ate at the restaurant one evening which served typical pub food and they had a kids eat for £1 deal on which saved us a good £15 and they all ate it so that was a bonus. Overall it was a lovely stay and we are looking at other awayresorts sites for future breaks!

The lock on the bathroom door needed fixing and wouldn’t open even when unlocked sometimes. I did let the team know about this on departure. The corridors were very narrow and the twin beds were short singles. This is fine for kids but my feet dangled off the end and I’m 5ft6. Anyone taller than this may struggle. The beds however were very comfortable so we still managed good nights sleeps!

Lovely comfortable large bed, had more or less everything you need. The only item we needed was an oven tray which we purchased and left and a larger mat at the door would be better, especially with muddy feat.

Peaceful and relaxing break away

Lovely peaceful park. Caravans and lodges a satisfactory distance apart and as they are mainly in a straight line it didn't feel overcrowded. Caravan had everything we needed (except towels which we were aware we needed to take for superior 8).

Caravan smelt of smoke in main area but was generally clean other than that.

The park is very big and nicely built. Very clean and welcoming liked the little touches. Very quite and peaceful.

More indoor facilities for children or perhaps add a swing at the park. I would recommend maybe add some apple trees around the park as it’s named apple tree. It would be nice to see. 😄

Family holiday at Appletree

Beautiful location with a short drive to the nearest beach. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Greeted with a smile and welcome pack.

Although there was a lovely play area for kids, there was no other evening entertainment like we've had at other holiday parks, so was limited to what we could do on site

We had a brand new caravan on a very recently opened expansion to the park. It was extremely quiet and peaceful with deers and wildlife coming very close to us. At night we could sit on the decking to see the stars, we were lucky enough to see a shooting star.

The cross roads just outside the park on the main road can be very dangerous and difficult to negotiate at busy times, especially as there is also a level crossing on the road straight ahead.

Fabulous place to stay. Beaches and funfairs within 30 to 45miles of complex.

Everything about appletree was first class. The accommodation.,cleanliness, facilities, value for money and the lovely, helpful, professional and helpful staff. Amy was on reception when we arrived long after hours due to an accident on the motorway. She stayed behind to wait for us and ensured we got to our accommodation promptly after providing us with the necessary information for our stay. Thank you Amy and all the management and staff.

Balls, birds and butterflies

The site was quiet, spacious and suitable for young and old. The chalet was just perfect for us for our short stay surrounded by woodlands and close to a pond filled with wildlife. To see dear, ducks and nature at its best was delightful. ( wasps excluded). If we played golf Appletree was the perfect location

Our only issue was our bathroom didn't have hooks to hang anything on or shelves to put toiletries we had to put them on the floor which wasn't ideal. The bedrooms were very small with little to no room to move around
