Birthday weekend

This is a lovely homely van. We had good communication from the owner from booking. We came as a last minute birthday treat for myself and it was lovely when we walked in and the Christmas tree was up. Our stay was just me and my husband. When we arrived it was a really cold day. We tried to put the fire on but it came on then turned off after 2 minutes. We reported this to the owner as we never know if anyone had and he wasn't aware. He responded promptly and said he would sort it. Thanked us for letting us know. The hot tub was lovely and warm although we couldn't get all the jets to work. It was probably us as we not technical lol. It was absolutely fine for 2 of us though. Mattress on the bed was lovely. Although when we both got in we did both roll into the middle. Definately a cosy weekend. This is situated in a nice quiet plot. My husband put a bird feeder up in the tree and we loved watching the variety of birds using it. We had a lovely stay and will definately be back.

No passes for the club house, only told about this once payment made. No FREE WiFi as only available in the club house area for which we didn't have passes.( £90 for passes for the weekend).

Very pleasant stay in a beautiful resort.

The caravan was one of the best we have ever stayed in. It was lovely and clean, away from hustle and bustle so was lovely and quiet, but not too far, we could walk and be at the main facilities in less than 10 minutes. We only used the hot tub once because there was so much to do onsite that we were kept busy everyday. Really good value for money. We would definitely recommend and would definitely return. We had 3 children aged 10,17,18 and they didn’t want to come home, there was lots to do and entertain everyone. Food was great and plenty of bars and restaurants. The whole complex was lovely and clean. We were really impressed.

It was big, the beds were comfortable and the decking area was nice to sit out on a morning with a coffee. The shower was very powerful which was nice.

PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND READ THIS

Caravan was clean apart from the fridge tidy and comfortable apart from the sofa which was hard to sit on for any length of time. Very warm and smells lovely. The hot tub was lovely.

I feel really let down by Booking.com and the owners of the holiday home. We didn't know the area so we wasn't expecting aircraft roaring over our caravan at gone 11 o'clock at night. It was so loud the radiators and the floor shook and watching TV was a complete waste of time because of the noise. I took my soon to be wife away expecting a quiet luxury holiday instead it couldn't have been more noisy. At least be honest with your future bookings and tell them in advance its right next to an Raf airfield then they can make a decision based on that. Good luck if you have kids because it will be a nightmare trying to get them to sleep.

The caravan was immaculate and has everything you need it’s very well equipped and extremely comfortable The hot tub is brilliant and owners check it daily to make sure water ph levels are correct First and won’t be my last visit to the caravan Owners very friendly And if you into aviation especially RAF & BBMF your in for a treat as right under the flight path

We had issues with the tv not getting channels clearly and randomly just switching off when we did try to watch it. Very poor Internet connection unless you spend significant amount of money buying data from resort.

Lovely caravan & place just shame about the weather

The hot tub was superb, caravan nice & clean & bed made up on arrival.

Only downside I would say is the van is on one of the main roads so not as private as I would have liked. Not sure if there is an issue but I’m also waiting for my deposit back, just says pending.

Van with hot tub was lovely. Lakes were lovely. I'm sure entertainment would have been as lovely, had we have been able to book anything.

Booking system. And fact no one told us we had to book and pay for everything 12 weeks in advance. From pools to tables to eat to tickets to even walk into the big top for the entertainment. Oh and, the noise of the jet planes...just wow. And wasn't told was the week of night flights lol....immense noise volumes that shook the van, until gone midnight. Im glad I didn't have small babies with me!

The hot tub was amazing and the surroundings totally mind blowing.

The cooker was unusable on the first night as it wasn't clean and smoke bellowed out the oven filling the caravan and setting off the smoke alarm. The TV control didn't fully work and the sound bar control was melted and wouldn't work. Large cobwebs was on the ceiling above the front main windows and have the window locks was broken, the bedroom window was locked without a key.

The caravan was beautiful, it was spotless. Had everything we needed. The hot tub - absolutely beautiful. It takes the stresses of the day away. The wildlife was lovely, we loved watching the jets when we were in the hot tub. The friendly staff made the stay worth it. They were very quick to respond to any queries through messaging on booking.com. They allowed us to check out a little later which we were very grateful for since our taxi wasn't due until 10:50. There was a lovely lady working the reception in the arcades, she was warm, welcoming and friendly and greeted us all with a lovely smile. She told me her name once but I forgot. I'll remember her for a long time, we didn't talk to her much but she has a beautiful energy when we did. You'll know who I'm talking about when you meet her.

The facilities were really far from where we were, It took at least 30minutes to walk to them with my children. The bike hire should be available for longer periods during the day. I think they should also hire out the buggies which the staff have, and people who've bought them. It's very expensive in taxis if you don't have your own car. We did wait for about 2 hours for our main meal in The Spitfire Restaurant. We were informed - we should have asked that our starter and main meal be brought together and that's why we had to wait so long, and that this is how it works.

nice break with family but disappointed limited facilities available at extra cost of £95 is way too high.

nice and clean carpets, good hot shower, had hairdryer, ironing boards, iron and nice big fridge freezer

not enough cutlery for guests, blunt kitchen knives, only 3 plastic cups for a group of 6 when using hot tub, had to make own beds on arrival bas very disappointing. lots of facilities not open to use on resort during a half term break with kids, chip shop closed all week, adult bar & cocktail bar closed but still cost £95 for passes. couldn’t book pedalo’s as also closed. swimming fully booked so all in all passes were a waste of money for our group.

The holiday home was in a brilliant location and the hot tub was easily big enough for a family of 5, the caravan was lovely, modern and clean with everything that you need for your break.

comfy bed and close to everything

weren’t cleaned properly before hot tub not working properly no carpets just rugs in twin rooms bathroom door didn’t close properly or lock toilet didn’t work properly gate was virtually hanging off kept nearly tripping over loose carpet reported to booking.com and sent proof now owners are refusing to give deposit back trying to say I broke a plant pot and that it’s really dirty so they need to pay for extra cleaners I filmed before I left and pot was perfectly fine and we didn’t hoover as they didn’t either will be taking property owners to small claims court
