A surprising find.

The flat was so clean. It was kitted out with everything we could need, even tea coffee and biscuits.It was attractive with nice furniture and decorations. Very comfortable and cosy. It is in a very convenient position.

The crumbs had not been taken out of the toaster!!

Comfortable Apartment

The host was very communicative and the TV worked flawlessly for us to watch one of the women's Euro's games. The kitchen is well equipped and the washing machine and dryer worked fabulously. It was even nice having a spare umbrella for us to use. The shower has it's own heating unit which made for nice hot showers.

The apartment was very outdated and old and maybe to be expected. The staircase up to the apartment is very dark and you do need to be careful. The alley you access the apartment usually smelled of urine and on our last day had a dead pigeon carcass in the middle of it. Not the apartment owner's fault by any stretch you just need to be aware. The apartment had everytyhing we needed, it just needs some TLC. The floors are uneven in sections and the main bed is very squishy. I prefer a firm bed so that's on me.

Cool and comfy place

Very cool entrance and stairs. Nice and comfy apartment in the center. Easy check in. Nice vibe in the apartment, we felt at home. Nice that the bedroom windows had blinders.

The queen beed was very firm/hard, but we still slept good.

Generous, thoughtful and well-equipped accommodation, thank you Mark. We cooked one evening and ate out locally (several good options and ours was excellent) one evening.

If you sleep with the window open be prepared to be woken by seagulls. Late at night the Cutlog Vennel passage can be intimidating, especially if you have encountered a single man lurking in a nearby doorway in the passage.

Ideal facilities for our short stay.

The location in regards to access to pubs, restaurants, parking and shops and upon the reaching the apartment after an unsettling ascent of the spiral stairway.

The front entrance and indoor passage was dingy/dirty with boarded up doorways,the walk up the spiral stairs was unsettling as you passed each open hallway to each floor. Double bed mattress was not comfortable.

A gem set in the heart of the Fair City

I have stayed several times before. This time it was a joint celebration of Easter and picking up the keys to my forever home as I am moving to Perth. It should tell you a lot that despite the absolute joy of this life milestone, it was still a lump in throat moment when I had to leave probably for the final time, and I found myself thinking about staying again if disruptive work is ever needed in my own home. The space and facilities in this apartment are so welcoming, I slept well every single night of my two week stay despite a tendency to insomnia and being in the middle of such a busy time, and I might just have to get a curtain rail put up along a wall in my own place so that I can replicate those sweet fairy lights in the lounge. It still amazes me (a very lazy townie) every time that the curved staircase up to the apartment is so manageable with its broad, shallow steps; excellent design in a fascinating old building. And so central!

Comfortable and quiet apartment in central Perth. I loved the location and the spiral staircase. Very close to all amenities. Clear information and instructions from the host. Just what I needed for a relaxing break. Will certainly book again and recommend to others looking to stay in Perth.

Ideal property for 4 people looking to enjoy Perth and its surrounding

Great location with paid parking nearby. Nicely presented property at the top of a spiral staircase. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. It was ideal for us as 3 friends looking for a central venue to get together.

A city minibreak in a very interesting, central building.

Beautiful big bedrooms (huge twin room!) and lovely sized bathroom. Living room had a very tranquil feel to it and I loved the well-appointed kitchen. Quiet, secure and comfortable. Responsive, helpful host. Stairs up to property not too demanding as steps are shallow. Excellent shower with consistent flow and temperature. Very good storage space.

It did get extremely hot on final day being on the top floor, even with all blinds and curtains having been left drawn all day when I went out, but it should be noted this was during official heatwave conditions. I was busy and out most of the day so if there was a fan in the property I may have missed seeing it.

no nearby parking - all pay to park and a bit of a walk from the apartment. Lots of the parking available but only for 4 hour max stints, so this was a little challenging. downstairs access door lock was broken, so not secure.

The apartment is lovely, just a pity it's on the top floor and one of the neighbours below hates booking.com & airbnb. She was very vocal when we were heading to the flat, spoiled our time there
