Great location, clean and modern space.
Perfect for what we were looking for. Only stayed one night and didn’t make full use of amenities however, kitchen fully equipped and plenty space. A slight mix up on our end upon arrival and staff were very helpful in sorting the issue out for us.

A frozen disaster - very rude deceptive owner
Nothing - especially not the deceptive photos - beware the photos show 2 flats - the pokey 1 bedroom and the larger 2 bed flat. As decorated the same it's hard to tell which photos apply - until you get there. Booking.com should rectify this. It's VERY misleading. Also rectify the owners total lack of instructions re heating, which the cleaner admitted was remiss of them. We have brilliant ratings as guests on Airbnb and booking.com and would never complain unless treated badly. The rude owner of St John's Apartments is a con man who immediately goes on the defensive, multiple excuses and shifting the goal posts to suit himself. I continue to pursue a full refund for this trip that ruined our Christmas. I will not hold my breath for an apology, he doesn't have it in him to be decent.
Horrific owners they are rude and deceptive. Booked for 2 nights. Poor instructions to find the place. Then once inside building, found door to apartment open which we sent to the owner. We entered carefully as the bathroom light was on and we were not sure if the place had been double booked. The flat was freezing. No instructions to work heating so we hoped it was on a timer (this being about 6pm). The heating did not come on. Had to sleep fully clothed as flat SO cold. Door was left open on arrival - anyone could have walked in but no apology from owner, just said that wasn't like the cleaner to do that. Arrived to no loo roll. Called owner. Drunken owner who was at a evidently at a party (it being Xmas night) told me he would 'trust me' by giving me the code to their cleaning cupboard (!) so I could go down the stairs to get myself toilet paper. Seriously - 'trust me' to go into a cleaning cupboard - this is the mentality! There is no view AT ALL from the apartment - it looks over another apartment - they stare straight into the lounge - or you can look at a brick wall out of the bedroom window. Didn't want to phone drunken owner again so left telling him about heating in the morning. The heating then came on a tiny bit so we wondered if he had then switched it on remotely. Cleaner arrived in morning 10 min earlier than arranged as I was washing. She walked straight in so I had to ask her to step outside until I got my trousers on! She came to see if she could fix heating - it wasn't broken just ZERO instruction as to how to turn it up from a totally BLANK panel on wall. As she turned it up I noticed it was set to 12 degrees. She said she didn't feel the cold! She gave 3 options. To upgrade to another of their flats 2. To stay in the flat with an additional tiny heater she had brought or 3. If we 'had had enough' we could just go home.

There were two of us and we chose this apartment because it had a bedroom and a sofa bed in the sitting room. However there was no bedding left out for the sofa bed.

Location was great although the address was confusing as it indicated the apartment was on South Street.
No sheets for the sofa bed duvet and pillow (single!) even after I specifically emailed to say that I would be using the sofa bed.

Bright, clean apartment nicely located for a city centre break in Perth.
This was a lovely apartment right in the centre of Perth. You can walk out of the building into the main square. Ideal for visiting the local attractions and town centre. The apartment came fully equipped for a self catering stay. Everything was modern, clean and working. There is no on site parking but the Canal Street multi storey is only a couple of minutes walk away.
Only a couple of minor issues, the bath would have benefited from a non-slip shower mat. The main entrance door on the ground floor needs its dampener fixing, when it banged shut you could feel it on the first floor.

Terrible sleep, bad bed and awful sofabed and lots of noise from other flats. AVOID.
Central location, host very helpful before stay but turned defensive and dismissive when I complained about noise from inside the building, terrible sofabed and lack of kitchen crockery and glassware for 4 people. Prior to staying I couldn't fault the customer service and we were looking forward to our stay. The apartment was clean and the shower was excellent. Good wifi.
Flat 5. Where do I start? The noise inside the building is excessive with no soundproofing and it went on all night. It really increased upstairs at 4,30am so we were up for the day. Not enough crockery and glassware, lounge and bedroom doors extremely creaky when opening and closing, sofabed horrific despite an apparent extra mattress topper being left, also very small for 2 people. When I mentioned this to the host on leaving after we all had less than 2 hours sleep, I was told it was for 2 young children but I was able to book with the ages of my kids in the booking request (10 & 12). The noise was explained away by the host saying that they had asked a guest to leave after a noise complaint at 9am, when the ones upstairs to us left the building at 7am, so I think this is his stock response to a noise complaint. The main bed was uncomfortable, we didn't have enough pillows. The flat was very hot when we arrived so I asked for a fan for each sleeping area and was brought one fan then told they'd gone over and above for me but they didn't have a second fan. We had to close windows due to the seagulls and town centre noise so the bedroom got extremely hot. I had also asked for the bed to be split to singles and was told that was fine then on the day it couldn't be done so I asked for an extra duvet, which was provided. Upon arriving the bed in the main room was a zip and link so could be split, and their own website says it can be split. The smart lock on our door was iffy and difficult to open and be warned there are A LOT of stairs! The host told me that I knew what I was booking from the photos on the advert, however be warned as the photos on Booking.com are for many apartments and you've no way of knowing which is the one you've booked. I was also told by the host that they don't have a short term let licence when I asked for their number, which is actually not legal in Scotland so I will be going to the council.

The apartment was very clean. The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely. Decor lovely.
I thought the living and kitchen area were quite small considering it sleeps 6. We didn't use the sofa bed to sleep on but found it uncomfortable to sit on.

Too expensive and the bed mattress was terrible as you can really feel the spring tension on your back. Some very cheap mattresses for the price they charge per night. Didn’t have a good sleep.

The apartment could do with good plug in air freshener as it was very smelly and the smell lingered throughout our stay which was quite off-putting. I used the extractor fan and opened all windows but still in the morning I felt like our clothes gathered the scent.
The apartment was in need of a proper clean as thick with dust on skirting boards and hair dryer and iron was covered in dust.
Under the sofa there were wrappers and crumbs
The bed sheets had small blood stains so not really much attention paid to getting this apartment ready
However for 1 night it was fine.

Location is great- right in the center of Perth. Very roomy two story flat with living room kitchen and full bath on first floor, bedrooms on upper floor with additional full bath. Modern appliances, clean rooms.
With central location- lots of extra noise at night and into the morning from the street.
Beds were fairly uncomfortable. Some of the finishes were a bit rough- strip holding carpet down on top of stairs was not flush and screws were sticking up. Almost like a quickly thrown together model home

Very modern and clean house with close to places. You can drive to the entrance after 4pm to 11am. It’s mainly one way so you need to be careful as it’s tricky finding the apartment at first. The parking is free in the evening till 8am. Ev charging only ac type 2. Walk from parking is 3 min max.

I might suggest door stops to keep doors open as an option, since the doors are quite heavy springs. But absolutely lovely flat!

It is a stunning flat right in the middle of town. Good if you plan to go for a night out.
Parking was a couple of streets over and if you plan an early night then it’s not ideal as location is in the centre of town and is very noisy until early hours of the morning.

Gd location , plenty places to eat & drink , slight prob gtn in at first bt was sortd within minutes 👍 the bed was sooooo comfy had a fab sleep😴 (I'm usually really fussy wen it cums to beds & gtn a decent sleep 🙈) luvly big towels , shower was fab grt pressure , wld defs recomend these apartments 💯 & well wrth the 💰

Good location. Having a washer and drying rack was good. Staff were helpful.
Needs a good clean. There was dust everywhere and shower hadn't been cleaned (stray hairs in it). No dish cloth or tea towel so no way to wipe surfaces and dry dishes. No shower wash. Bed so close to radiator that it was difficult to get to the other side. Tried using the vacuum to clean up a bit but it doesn't work properly (No suction). One fork missing. Kitchen bin too small.
