Lago Maggiore is magnificent even in the rain!

Great position in Baveno - everything in walking distance Great to have parking in underground car park

Lovely Lakeside stay in a nice apartment

Great location, few minutes walk to the Baveno centre with ferry terminal, restaurants etc and also only a few minutes walk to a good supermarket. The apartment was really clean with a smart modern bathroom and a good size for the two of us. Being able to use the facilities of the Hotel Rigoli was great with its lakeside views and sun loungers, it also had a good restaurant (the pinsa was amazing) and luggage storage.

Room description on booking.com indicated a balcony but our apartment did not have one. Being a ground floor apartment it was a little noisy at times from the apartment above & entrance(there is nothing that could be changed about this though).

Luxury apartment in historical Italian villa

Quiet location, spacious. Great garden with beautiful plants, luxury bathroom, good beds.

There was no shade on the balcony and the airconditioning was moderate as well as the kitchen.

Okay apartment, let down by poor WiFi

The apartment was close to the centre of Baveno, walking distance to shops, restaurants and the ferry. The receptionist was lovely and helped us to our room when we checked in. The barman was friendly and we had a good catch up with him about local events and Baveno. The apartment was adequate for the three of us, it was clean and had plenty of utensils and cutlery to use. Dishwasher and microwave were in working order and the outside area was large. Aircon was very useful as it was hot during our stay. We enjoyed using the bar and lake side area of the nearby hotel.

The WiFi didn't work inside the apartment. It worked outside but the minute you came inside it lost connection. We were in a garden apartment and I see other reviews have said the same thing. It was hard to sit outside for an extended period as the mosquitos and sandflies were very bad. Lack of wifi was a problem for us as we were trying to keep in touch with family on the other side of the world. The easiest time to do this was late at night - when mosquitos were at their worst.

Very good

We received an upgrade to a garden room which was great. The checkin is at Hotel Rigoli just around the corner. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and modern. The bed is super comfortable.

The wifi is poor in the garden rooms. Just out of the door the signal is great but something blocks the signal inside the room. There are a bit of ants in the kitchen that need a better exterminator job.

Well located, comfortable accomodation

Ortensia apartments are part of Rigoli hotel and while the apartments are not by the lake edge, Rigoli hotel is and you have access to it. The apartment was on the 3rd floor so lots of steps. Staff helped with the bags. Bed was very comfortable. Supermarket was 400 mt. Town was close for walking to lake and restaurants. Staff were very nice. Lido bar walking distance for day beds on lake, drinks & snacks. We hope to return.

Big comfort, quietness, excellent location

It my second stay in this apartment hotel and I am anticipating the third one. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The apartment is renovated and very clean. All the cutlery, plates, casseroles are brand new. The double bed is very comfortable. Secured parking place is included in the cost of the apartment. The beach is just 3 min walk from the apartment; if you stay in the hotel, the beach is straight there. The location of the hotel is excellent because it is situated on the quite street but literally five minutes walk from the center with cafes, shops, restaurants and touristic attractions.

Very bad and will not recommend or come again.

We were very disappointed with the care we received on arrival. We did not know there were no lifts and were given a second floor apartment in Hotel Ortesia having to carry our own heavy bags after a 9 hour journey reaching at 9.30 pm instead of 5 pm due to travel chaos. At ages 71 and 67 years we didn't expect this hospitality. On reaching the room it was soo hot and there was no cooling system regulator (remote) to adjust the temperature. On contacting the reception the reception lady said that she was in bed and couldn't do anything till the next morning advising us to keep doors and windows closed! Which of course we had already done. Very disappointed indeed and uncomfortable too

Some better hospitality. Help to carry our heavy bags upstairs to second floor coming to the room to adjust the temperature. The next day on calling the recpetion again the lady said she is busy and will come later and on insisting when she said in half an hour. She did arrive and gave us the remote for the air conditioner!! So why did she not give the remote on our arrival the previous night??

The residence is beautiful outside and inside, there is a unique charisma in this place.

The necessity to throw your garbage at the end of the stay and sort it manually. It would be helpful if separate litters are put in the apartments as well. Also would be great if the garbage could be left in the litter inside and not outside at the end of the garden especially if traveling with baby and children…:)

Great service from Claudia at the hotel, we arrived late in the evening. Very good beds and comfortable towels (only two big ones, but Claudia said that was a mistake). Best hotel breakfast for a long time! Lovely own yard with chairs and table. Big plus for garage! And beach of course, which we did not use, was too cold.

A/c instructions were missing (but again, Claudia helped very fast!). Too small tv. Some spiderweb at the corners.

Perfect base to explore the region

Location great, walking distance from town center. On site underground parking is real plus if you are coming by car as finding a space outside can be a challenge. The flat istelf was spacious, recently renovated and well appointed. Comfortable bed with extra pillows and blankets in case you need them. Boats to the Borromean islands are very close, the public transport ones are just fine. The guestbook includes some good recommendations for restaurants, book in advance if you want to avoid disappointment. Don't expect a lake view because there isn't one, which is just fine. You'll have plenty of time to look at it all day long ;-). The service is friendly, discreet and professional. A great base to explore the region. Don't miss out on lake Orta (San Giulio), which is a 30 mins drive from Baveno.

A GREAT PLACE TO STAY.

Beautiful apartment with three balconies. A glimpse of the lake and beautiful views to the backyards gardens. Clean and gorgeous. The facilities of the next door hotel were espectacular. WE HAD A WONDERFUL DAY ! Thanks so much for all the gentleness.

Wij hadden kamer 26, dit is de kamer met de trap naar boven voor de slaapkamer. Het appartement was ruim van binnen. Het appartement ligt op loopafstand van een leuke dorpskern en genoeg keuze qua restaurants. Aan het eind van de straat is het ook mogelijk om een bootje te huren om het meer op te gaan.

Ontbijt was een optie. Maar erg duur… 20 euro pp.

Unerwarteterweise war doch ein Stück vom See zu sehen und die Mitbenutzung des Hoteleigenen Strandabschnitts -problemlos auch mit unserem Hund- war unproblematisch, das Konsumierte ging abschließend auf die Zimmerrechnung. Wenige Schritte ins Centrum und doch ruhig gelegen. Zusätzlich gab es auch in jedem Schlafzimmer einen extra Fernseher.

Kleine Meckerei: Leider führt der Aufzug nicht in die Tiefgarage hinunter. Tiefergelegte oder vollgepackte Fahrzeuge müssen event. mit einem Aufsetzer bei der Ein/ Ausfahrt zur Garage rechnen.

Дуже гарні умови проживання. Сучасна кухня, зручний посуд, гарні ліжка, зручні матраси, чиста постіль, рушники . Є три балкони , кожний вечір вечеряли на балконі. До пляжу три хвилини пішки, дуже зручно, коли ти з малечею. Машину паркували в підземному паркінгу. Отримали насолоду від проживання в цій старовинній віллі.

Не сподобалось, що санвузол був нижче кімнат і до нього треба було спускатися сходами.

Yksi asia jäi harmittamaan, nimittäin turvallisuus. Huone oli 2. Kerroksessa. Siinä ei ollut mitään hätäpoistumistietä eli tulipalon sattuessa olisi ollut aika hankalaa. Ainoasta ovesta ei päässyt ulos ilman avainta. Jos olisi tullut hätätilanne eikä avain olisi lukossa niin paniikissa ei avainta välttämättä löytäisi. Sisätä pitäisi aina päästä ulos vaivattomasti. Huonekirjassa ei myöskään mitään mainintaa turvallisuudesta paitsi hätänumero. Eli hätäpoistumisportaat ja ovi pitää pystyä avaamaan sisältä ilman avainta.
