Beautiful property but some staff should learn from Alfredo
Did not have breakfast. We just wanted coffee with milk.
We are two elderly guests who asked to make ourselves cappuccino in readily available coffee machines at the entrance to the breakfast room. There are no tea or coffee makers in the otherwise lovely room. We were told by staff that we must wait to 9am, another 40 minutes , until the bar opened to get cappuccino. It was not busy at the time in the breakfast room . You are fortunate to have one young waiter with common sense, Alfredo, who told us to go ahead and make our cappuccino! Other staff had a lack of this quality. It is unfortunate that an attractive property was undermined by some of your staff lacking any idea of service to their guests.

Delightful! I would defentely like to return and stay at Baveno Simplon hotel again in the future.
I was very impressed with cleanliness of this hotel. Everywhere: the hallways, rooms, washrooms, dining room... it was spotless and stafff was always cleaning, and vacuming and payed such attention to detail thoroughly cleaning all areas. The reception staff was welcoming and helpful especially Meta at the Baveno Simplon location was wonderful, so curteous, helpful and always attentive and smiling! Your swimming pool is excellent. very clean, well mantained, never overcrowded, towels were always available for guests even on cloudy, rainy days. And no young kids running around, screaming and splashing! I loved that!
I find daily breakfast fee at 25 Euros was too expensive, so we chose not to eat breakfast at your hotel.

Disappointing
Garden and pool area are beautiful and well kept.
We paid 75 euros for breakfast for three people and it was the worst one we have ever had in a four star hotel. We went there at 9.00 and almost everything was finished. The staff was able to refill few food items but they didn’t have any pastries and only one kind of bread left one hour before the end of the breakfast time! We complained directly to the reception and they promised to find out why they didn’t have enough food but after that we heard nothing and there was no compensation. This was our second time at this hotel but definitely the last one as the value for money equation does not work.

More than even expected!
I like that i feel welcomed in this hotel - the Manager and the lady at the reception (name Francesca i guess) as well as housekeeping are so friendly. The manager recognised me as i stayed in the hotel before and gave me the feeling of a special guest although i stayed only for 1 night. She appointed us a very nice room (actually a wow-effect room) with the terrace and lake view! They do the best they can for customers. In total i recommend the hotel for its beauty, service, facilities,location and amazing view over the lake! Thank you very much for making our stay unforgettable!

Wonderful hotel in Baveno.
Our stay in Hotel Simplon was wonderful! It is well positioned in Baveno, and has parking on site. The gardens are beautiful and there is a delightful pool area and bar. There are terraces with lovely seating areas. The staff are all professional, kind and helpful. The rooms have good internet and are spotlessly clean. All the bed linen towels etc are very high quality. We were very lucky to be given a free upgrade and our room had a lovely view out over the lake. There is a passageway between this hotel and its sister hotel Grand Hotel Dino which has a pool and also a beach area on the lake.
