Not for everyone, and not cheap. But we absolutely loved it

This hotel (if that's the right word) is very special indeed, and certainly not for everyone. Some may find that it lacks some "normal" hotel facilities and that this is not reflected in the price (it's not cheap). Others may fall in love with all the books, music room, absence of TV's, new and original details of this old "Jugendstil" villa, the surrounding garden including hot tub, and the location, which is beautiful - just outside Fusio which is the last village at the end of the Valley of the Maggia. The nature surrounding it is overwhelming. The care and enthusiasm of Michelle completes this.

Measured by conventional hotel standards, there may certainly be some remarks (although nothing serious) - but that would be beside the point here.

We had a refreshing and unforgettable experience.

Everything. The lady (can’t remember her name) who is from the French-speaking part of Switzerland was lovely. She made restaurant reservations for us and made very useful recommendations on things to do in the area. We had a great walk to see the church (about 30 minutes) and enjoyed our stay. We came at just the right time when guests left the night before so we had the residence all to ourselves. One thing that is a mini detail is that the showers in the rooms had ample space to bathe and lots of clean hot water. There was a “hot pot” available on site to enjoy while taking in scenic views. The breakfast was tasty and delicious. This is a historic property that owners have really done a great job with. Highly recommend!

The road was rather narrow, but not much can be done about that. Just be careful.

So far the best experience I had in Switzerland, in this price range. Amazing road trip leading to the hotel, and amazing forest hills surrounding the place. The town nearby is like a picture book. The staff was very nice, and welcoming ... they even reached out to me to see how to prepare. Just way above what I would expect or have gotten used to previously.

There was a guest complaining about me using a laptop at my breakfast table. She ordered me to go to my room, because she preferred complete silence in the morning. I moved to another place but found it quite strange.

Ideal pour prendre son temps et déguster une très bonne cuisine avec un bon verre de vin 🎵

Très belle villa, meublée avec goût 👍! Chambre confortable avec petit balcon, terrasse et jardin pour flâner au soleil, excellent repas du soir et bon petit-déjeuner avec ingrédients locaux 👏, très bon accueil, places de parking.

Nous étions de passage en automne et il faisait frisquet dans la chambre sous les toits🥶 (c’est une villa d’été et l’isolation n’est donc pas automne rdv), sinon RAS !

Zimmer einfach, kühle Zimmer da das Gebäude unter Denkmalschutz steht und darf es nicht mehr beheizt werden. Einfache Einrichtung, Lavabo auf dem Zimmer, Rest auf dem Gang. Das Essen gut Bürgerlich, Einheitsmenü am Abend.

Zufahrt mit grossem Auto eine kleine Herausforderung, aber möglich. Digitaliserung und Computer lassen zu wünschen übrig. Abrechnung teilweise von Hand.

Eine grosse positive Überraschung nach 3 Wandertagen!

Das Haus hat einen umwerfenden Charme. Überall hat es gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten. Nicht überladen, aber überall nette Details und sehr schöne Bilder. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Abend- und Morgenessen waren ein Genuss. Lokale Produkte, fein gekocht. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Arte e storia in cima a Fusio

Hotel storico in posizione isolata, ottimo servizio. Staff molto cordiale e disponibile. Molto belli gli spazi esterni e le sale comuni (che sanno d’arte). Trovo semplicemente stupenda l’idea della Villa musicale. Mi piacerebbe un giorno assistere ad un concerto, così, in alta montagna. Tutto molto bello e sorprendente. Buona anche la cucina.

Keine eigene WC, im Booking war es vermerkt aber richtig versteckt, so dass ich es nicht gesehen haben. Das Personal war so freundlich und wollte mir den Zimmer wechseln mit Badzimmer, aber leider ohne Balkon.

Fantastische ervaring! Een aanrader!

Combi van vele factoren zoals ligging huis, inrichting, oog voor details, vriendelijkheid eigenaren, hotpot en prachtig uitzicht op de bergen. En we hadden geluk dat er een prachtig concert gehouden werd door harpist. Erg mooi.
