Would have liked milk for the coffee, but doesn't matter. Still awesome :)

Good location
WARNING: bed bugs!
My partner and I stayed at this hotel from the night of Saturday, November 8 to Sunday, November 9, 2025.
Around 4 a.m., my partner woke up because of itching. When we turned on the light, we found bedbugs all over the mattresses and pillows, as well as some blood stains from the ones we had crushed during our sleep.
Upon waking, we went to discuss it with the owners, who seemed sorry but were also aware of the problem, as the same issue had occurred in this very room 3 months ago.
Looking at other reviews online, you can even see that visitors were already victims of bedbugs a year ago!
The owners only offered us a refund of €25, subject to presenting the medical consultation and pharmacy receipts.
We requested a full refund for the night and compensation for the belongings we had to throw away, the time lost cleaning/disinfecting everything, and the damages suffered.
The owners never responded to us.
It's really a shame because the hotel is charming and very well located, but taking the risk of picking up bedbugs and spreading them at home is far too great.
Antwerp has many other charming hotels!

Breakfast fine (only had it once) location very central
My room at the front was right on the street and was very noisy because of Armistice Day celebrations (probably not usually that noisy). Was able to move to room at back halfway through stay and that was much quiter

Great location right by the cathedral and amongst lots of eating/drinking options !
The single beds were quite narrow and mattresses a little sunken

The room we had was supposed to be a superior - it was fine but nit superior - although the locatuon and staff are great. other hotels are much better value.

What a great stay at Hotel Mezonvin. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt relaxed and looked after by our hosts. We were in room no 3 which looks over the cathedral which was lovely and clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was served in the quirky lounge where you could comfortably sit for hours to observe all the great details. Great experience and we hope to go back sometime in the future.

I was given a room on the top floor, under the roof. I knew there wasn't an elevator but the stairs were very steep and very narrow. The entrance was stuffy and badly illuminated. I don't know where the photos in the listing came from, but in no way do they represent what the entrance and reception are actually like. It was like entering a garage, dark and musty. There was nobody there to meet me. I had to call the owner to get in, and I never saw her, and she was very rude when I talked to her, as if it was my fault that we didn't arrive when she wanted us to.

Breakfast was served too late for the day's cycling which started at 9. The bike was accommodated. The room was very pretty and had a kettle for morning tea. The cathedral bell stopped for the night.
I took a long time to find the hotel, which has a very small label on the brightly painted garage doors. I had to phone up the landlady. The bars outside were noisy as one expected, but they did close. The stair to the room was steep and not quite well enough lit.

The main area of the house (downstairs) is fascinating. It's a very old building, added to and changed over the centuries. Furnishings take you back to a different time. You can see where the original house started, things date back from the times of Napoleon apparently.
The owners of the hotel are wonderful people, and Peggy's communication in particular was fabulous. We turned up a bit later than expected, but she gave us instructions to get inside and then was a wonderful host again in the morning and for breakfast.
Our room was on the top floor - very bright and airy with windows on both sides. The views are just the backs of other buildings but you can see the cathedral spire or belfry rise above (the hotel is directly opposite). Once you are off the ground floor, the rooms do tend to come back to a more modern feel but they are perfectly comfortable and pretty good value.
Breakfast was fast and decent, with some bacon and eggs cooked to your specification, with a continental breakfast. The water pressure and the shower was lovely, especially after a long day of cycling around Belgium.
Not much to complain about. But it's helpful to remember what the front door looks like, and the street number, prior to your arrival as it took us a couple of minutes to locate the large locked gate and the name of the hotel on it is printed quite small.

The location was amazing, right on the city centre and a quick metro ride from central train station or 20 min walk. The hotel is on the small size, but that makes attention more personalised. All areas are clean and beautifully decorated.
Although location is ideal to move around, at night it can get a little noisy with the windows open.

What a lovely little hotel in the centre of Antwerp. The location is perfect for the city centre and the whole ambience of the hotel is amazing, it had a real boutique feel to it. My room was a good size and overlooked the Cathedral and cafes outside, but it was still quiet. The host wasn;t around when I arrived, but she talked me through how to get into my room over the phone. She seemed very friendly when we actually met the next day.
Quite steep and narrow stairs up to the rooms. It reflects the old nature of the building, and wasn't a problem for me, but might be challenging if you struggle with stairs.

Bit noisy until midnight

The location was excellent, the room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and the wider hotel was charming. The breakfast was ample and worked for what we needed, although I think if I revisited I would probably decide to have breakfast in the town itself. I would absolutely stay at the hotel again if I ever revisit Antwerp.
The hotel is in a very busy part of Antwerp and this meant groups of people drinking outside the bars near the hotel until the early hours of the morning. This is not the fault of the hotel and it soon became background noise, but just something to be mindful of if visiting during the warmer weather.

Perfect central location in the old city, well situated for visiting many sights on foot, and with plenty of shops and restaurants on the doorstep.
Friendly owner who gave great local recommendations. She was flexible about arrival and departure times.
Quiet, clean, comfortable room with powerful shower, comfortable bed, dark blackout curtains.
The bathroom lighting in Room 4 was quite dim.

Such a lovely little hotel. Simple but adequate rooms and facilities, hot shower and double glazed windows. The reception area and breakfast room are delightful and quirky. The owners/managers super-chilled, accommodating and chatty. Location simply unbeatable right in the centre of Antwerp and good value.
There’s nothing to dislike about the place at all.

We were a big group who travelled for work. Everything about the hotel was amazing - the service, the location and the rooms. Sure some of the guests who had rooms to the street heard the noise from people outside, but that was not an issue because we wanted to have a central location! The breakfast was outstanding, and everything we asked for were taken care of. We did even get tip of what to do during the day, somethings we would have missed otherwise! Thank you Peggy and Wim, we all had a wonderful trip and would like to come back and stay at you hotel again.
Nothing, it was really good everything - lived up to AND exceeded our expectations.

Lovely hotel in the heart of the historic city centre. Very lively area. The hosts are helpfull and friendly. Breakfast was great. The hotel has a nice, slighly quirky, 'brocante' style to it.
There is nothing that I can think of.

The location was great - just behind the cathedral, so very central.
The decor was artistic, quirky and interesting, and the communal areas were very comfortable.
The owners were really helpful and friendly.
There was quite a bit of street noise at night, but this was not something within the control of the hotel.
