A property a little tired but in an excellent location and one in which we much enjoyed our stay.

The location and the decor of shabby chic in a traditional house were all appreciated. The main bed was comfortable and the wooden floors throughout most of the property.

There are a few renovations needed. The bathroom sink and shower both leaked onto the bathroom floor. The electric socket cover plate by the door to the main bedroom was insecure and came detached when plugged items were removed. The dishwasher, despite us cleaning the filters, did not have enough water to dissolve the dishwasher tablets. We suspect that in this hard water area the limescale has blocked the inlet pipes.

Stressful and tiring

The house is perfect for the summer but not the winter

The host did not let us get the keys 15 minutes earlier than check in which was 16:00pm. We were standing outside the door in -2 degrees. The host asked us to give our credit card details with a deposit of 300 euros. The reason people use booking is that booking insures your house and stay, but she left us no choice but to complete the deposit. Once we got in: The fireplace does not work, the furniture is old and almost broken, its cold in the house, she asked us to wash dishes and throw our own trash. Hospitality is not a thing anymore in Europe. GO TO A HOTEL. Now someone has my card details aswell:( once we were checking out a car with a family inside was watching us throw the trash away properly, and waited for me to put the keys in the lock and then drove away… it made us feel like criminals for staying in the home

The climbing between the floors might be challenging for young kids. The bathroom and the toilet are combined. Less convinient when for family.

It is a very old wooden floor, well kept house with comfortable amenities. Perfect LOCATION.

The location ( 3 blocks away from the beach, & bakeries, market close to it), having 3 separate rooms, in a very quiet place.

Not having a normal coffe machine (just Pods). Staircases not suitable for everyone, 3 stories. The toilet water needs to be fixed, it recharges water every 20 mins. Could have a laundry machine for longer stays. Would have been nice to have a parking spot, the street in front have payable spaces, but for a limited amount of time, we were lucky to get them but had to pay 3 times in 2 nights. Parking gets difficult at some times!

Horrible letting agent stole our money 😔

Etretat is beautiful! The house was very nice.

We had a lovely stay in etretat which was unfortunately ruined by the horrible letting agent who manages this property. They asked us to pay a deposit througha separate site and didn't return our deposit. We were on holiday with our 4 month old baby and greyhound. We therefore specifically selected "dog friendly" when looking for a property on the website. When we left the agents didn't return our deposit because they said dogs were not allowed. We apologised and explained that we had selected dog friendly. We also asked them to send pictures and to justify taking £200 (plus a £45 cleaning fee already included in the bill). They sent us a picture of a blanket with some hair on it and a small bit of mud on the floor. I asked them if they thought it was reasonable to charge £245 to clean the property and asked that they atleast return some of our money. They stopped responding to my messages. Be very wary trusting them with your "deposit". On top of all this, the kitchen is very poorly equipped without basic things (chopping board, cheese grater). There is also no extractor fan. Clearly just a money grabbing letting agent with no heart. Thank you for ruining our stay!

The town is lovely.

The location was great. So close to the beach front and small downtown, quiet and with a lovely small garden.

The representative of the place behaved really weird. Writing information in French when I texted back in English, asking to clean after we leave. The towels and bedding in the accommodation were awful, looked terrible and smelled like there was somebody smoking next to when drying up.

Great house but communication with the host could be improved

The location is great - quiet district, a few minutes walking to the beach. The building is big, spacious, and clean enough. I liked the garden in the backyard - however, it could be maintained better. There was tea, coffee, and some spices in the kitchen.

I didn't like the communication with the host. It was really difficult to check in - there is a special locker where you need to collect keys from. If you're not aware of how this locker works - it will be not easy to figure out. The host didn't explain that. Also, it was difficult to figure out how the doors are locking - there was a special mechanism for turning the door handle. Again, the host didn't mention anything about that. Lastly, the official check-out time is 11.00 am. We had our bus at 18.35 that day and it was raining the whole day according to the weather forecast. I asked the host to allow us to stay longer and offered to pay extra. She refused to allow me to stay for 1.5 extra hours only. When I asked to suggest the places where we could stay she told us to reach out to the mairie. That's a weird type of hospitality. Please note that Etretat is a very small village where there is not much to do and if you have a late departure - you might consider a different place to stay.

Great localisation

Great localisation on a very quiet street in beautiful neighborhood, 5 minutes walk from the beach. We had whole little three stories townhouse for ourselves. Tastefully decorated apartament and cosy garden.

It was not a problem for ourselves but if you travel with younger children there are a lot of steep stairs. Not very well equipped kitchen, I mean coffee in the morning would be great. Other than that it was great.

Great

The house was amazing. It is an original authentic local building, adapted to modern needs. Has a beautiful patio with beautiful flowers and it situated on a quiet street. 5 minutes walk to the beach. 2 min to the bus station. The kitchen is well equiped. And has a dishwashing machine. Also in the basement/lower floor has a yard barbecue. The house is very nice decorated and makes you feel at home in etretat.

La maison est pleine de fissures,peintures qui s’effritent. Les photos sur le site sont tops mais ce n'est pas du tout ca quand on ouvre la porte. L'électricité laisse a désirer ( des interrupteurs et des prises qui n’alimentent rien). Un gaz sur 2 qui fonctionne. La salle de bain humide,sale (taches au sol),bac a douche vert, douche qui fait du goutte a goutte non stop. Fenêtre avec le contour moisi dans une des chambres. Matelas des lits 1 personnes très mou. Et un jardin pas très soigné.

De trap... je moest voor de wc de trap op en om naar de tuin tegaan de trap af, als je ouder bent moet je daar wel rekening mee houden.

Le logement mérite un coup de frais. Le mobilier est très abîmé. Le canapé est taché, les murs sales, le porte manteau, la table basse, le fauteuil cassés . La douche est tachée (paraît sale mais est taché).

L'emplacement en ville est la seule chose positive.

Cette location est à la limite de l'acceptable. On se moque du client !!! Appartement sans entretien. Dès la porte d'entrée qui pourrait être débarrassée des toiles d'araignées. Le plancher qui n'a pas été entretenu depuis des années, les peintures des murs défraîchies et sale. Toiles d'araignées dans le salon. Taches sur le vieux canapé très inconfortable. Feuilles mortes à l'intérieur devant la porte donnant accès au minuscule jardin qui est envahi par les herbes et la mousse. Couchage moyen. Escalier en bois très étroit et dangereux. Fils électriques qui ne sont pas protégés juste à côté du canapé. Stationnement dans la rue très onéreux, le parking gratuit le plus proche étant à 1km. Je déconseille.

Location géographique… quiétude des lieux . Équipement adéquat

Dommage qu’à cette période de l’année les radiateurs des chambres, surtout au deuxième étage, ne fonctionnent pas. Sans attendre une température estivale. le fonctionnement des radiateurs aurait été un plus….. Le reste était à la hauteur de nos attentes. Bon rapport qualité / prix
