Positives: Perfectly located in the middle of shops and restaurants, and just a short walk to the beach. Highly recommend queuing for a few minutes to get a table at La Flotille - excellent food at reasonable prices. We went 3 times it was so good. Negatives: No wifi in the house. Although there are 3 bedrooms which can sleep 5 people, the downstairs is so small it can really only accommodate 2 adults, at a push with 1 or 2 young children. Narrow wooden spiral staircase to both higher floors.

We were very pleased with this house in Étretat. The owners parents met us there and were delightful. We used Google translate conversation to communicate, which we all enjoyed after getting used to it. The house is exactly as presented. We especially enjoyed the patio table and chairs in the back yard, both in the evening and again in the morning. Great location to see all the amazing views in Étretat!

The house is very cute, the kitchen and bathroom are both very well appointed, the little garden is lovely, and the location is easy walking to beach and shops. The parking is awesome, really important to have with this location (only very expensive paid parking in the neighborhood). Three things though. (1) The location is actually very noisy at night. Big garbage containers are just across the street and they are being emptied at 4:00 a.m. every two days. Diagonally across is a great restaurant (we ate there twice). But you also hear the kitchen staff until after midnight, noisily cleaning up with music and lots of joking around. On two of our four nights there were roving bands of teenagers with portable music devices hanging at the corner around 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. So we did not sleep through a single night. (2) What we missed when booking the house is the fact that there is no internet. So no Netflix in the evening. (3) A minor thing: the couch opposite the large TV screen is really worn out. But since we could not watch Netflix anyway, it mattered less.

Fantastic house in a fantastic location

This was an ideal stop for 3 adults and 2 children (6 and 7 yrs old). The house was clean and comfortable with everything needed for a multinight stay. The house is located in the city center of Etretat, meaning very easy access (literally just a few minutes walk) to many fantastic restaurants/cafes, patisseries, grocery stores, parks, walking trails, gardens, and the beach. While the house is well insulated against outside noise, keep in mind that the location is in the center of town, so you will hear the sounds of the city (and the local seagulls), especially if/when you have the windows open. The upper stories of the house have the 3 cozy bedrooms and are easy to access via the spiral stairs, though people that are unsteady on their feet should take care. Richard (host) was extremely friendly, helpful and communicative. Would definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves back in Etretat. And would recommend this to others as well. Enjoy!

This unit is charming and exquisitely decorated. Its location is the perfect spot to tour the town and enjoy miles of trails. It is very nice not to have to worry about parking while residing in the heart of a crowded and (summer) busy little town. We were able to fit our 2 cars and our 3 bicycles perfectly within 200 meters of the house.

The location is terrific and the house is quite comfortable. The living/dining room has only a couch which was not too elegant. However the kitchen was terrific as well as the bathroom with a great shower and comfortable beds. There are three stories with steep stairs. No WiFi.

The house had everything you need for a family holiday. It was very well equipped for babies (tub, high chair, bed and even plates). The bedrooms were truly beautiful, big and airy. So was the bathroom. Everything was very clean. Good heating. The owner's parents were extremely nice. It is very centrally located and two blocks away from the beach. It has enclosed parking nearby. Like most house in the area it is distributed on three floors (ground floor living-room/kitchen, first floor twin bedroom plus bathroom, second floor master bedroom, single bedroom and toilet). The stairs are steep, so is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Auf drei Etagen konnten wir unsern Kurzurlaub sehr in diesem Haus genießen. Die Schlafzimmer sind angenehm groß und das ganze Haus mit viel Geschmack eingerichtet. Eigentlich ist es ja ein altes Haus, aber es ist doch so schön renoviert, ohne den alten Charme zu zerstören. Wir würden es sofort einem guten Freund weiterempfehlen.

Plenty of space but still intimate, nicely updated but still charming, conveniently located to shops and the beach but still quiet.We enjoyed sitting on the back terrace for coffee in the morning and wine in the evenings. In addition , the owners of the house are very friendly and helpful. They were also very accommodating when we needed to make a last minute change of our departure date.As a nice bonus, they gave us a jar of honey that collected from bees that they keep themselves. Pretty cool.

Eigentlich können wir nur bestätigen, was die Vorredner schon beschrieben haben. Sehr gute Aufteilung der Räume und tolle Lage im Ort. Für Ausflüge in die Gegend auch sehr gut gelegen. Begeistert hat uns, dass man in Nullkommanix am Strand ist. Wir haben uns fast jeden Abend einen Sonnenuntergang entweder am Strand oder auf den Klippen gegönnt. Das ist wirklich atemberaubend, insbesondere oben auf den Klippen!

Wir wurden vereinbarungsgemäß pünktlich um 16:00 durch die Gastgeber in dem Ferienhaus sehr warmherzig empfangen, obwohl eine gewisse Sprachbarriere bestand. Auch auf unsere kleine Tochter (17 Monate) wurde sehr herzlich eingegangen. Es lag sogar eine No-Go-Liste von Restaurants (Touristenfallen) für uns bereit. ;-) Uns wurden zunächst das Haus und die wichtigsten Einrichtungsgegenstände gezeigt. Alles entsprach in etwa den Bildern des Inserates und war in einem recht guten Zustand. Es gibt neben dem Wohn-/Essbereich im Erdgeschoss mit Kochzeile im 1. Obergeschoss ein Schlafzimmer mit 2 Betten, sowie ein Bad mit WC und Dusche. Im 2. Obergeschoss gibt es ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett, sowie ein kleines "Kinderzimmer", sowie ein WC und ein Waschbecken. Das Treppenhaus ist relativ steil und eng, aber sogar mit einem Kinderschutzgitter im 2. OG und einer Tür im EG gesichert. Das Ferienhaus ist für Kinder jeden Alters ausgestattet. So gibt es ein Babybett mit Matratze, einen Kinderhochstuhl, Wickeltisch, Spielmatten für den Boden, Toilettensitz für Kinder, Stufe und sogar eine kleine Badewanne für Babys. Man verlässt den Wohnbereich über eine kleine Treppe auf die Terrasse mit Esstisch und Sonnenschirm. Die kleine Terrasse ist mit Holzboden verkleidet und von Bambus berandet und kann über eine kleine Pforte in den Hinterhof verlassen werden. Von der Terrasse geht es in einen Keller, in dem man z.B. Fahrräder verstauen kann. Das Haus befindet sich im Ortszentrum von Etretat und ist nur wenige hundert Meter vom Kieselstrand entfernt. Man kann zum Be-/Entladen unmittelbar vor dem Haus im kostenpflichtigen Bereich halten, das Auto kann dann auf dem Grundstück der Vermieter abgestellt werden, welches nur wenige hundert Meter entfernt ist. Die Empfindung anderer Gäste, dass das Schlafzimmer durch die Straße und Gastrolärm recht laut ist, konnten wir nicht teilen, waren allerdings in der Nebensaison dort. Alles in allem können wir die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen und würden jeder Zeit wiederkommen.

Das Haus liegt sehr zentral in Etretat und man kann von dort aus alles prima zu Fuß erledigen (Strand, Einkaufen, ...) und auch zu den Wanderungen an der Küste starten. Wir haben den angebotenen Parkplatz (ca. 200m entfernt) gern genutzt und unser Auto dort die ganze Zeit stehen lassen. Die Ausstattung ist gut, lediglich das Sofa ist etwas unbequem (wie schon in einem anderen Kommentar zu lesen - ein Austausch wäre nicht schlecht). Über eine schmale Treppe (nix für große Koffer ;-) ) kommt man in die oberen Stockwerke, wo die Schlafzimmer und das Badezimmer sind. Die Terasse lädt zum Sitzen und Essen ein. Die Begrüßung war sehr nett und mit gutem Willen auf beiden Seiten ging die Verständigung (trotz eingerostetem Schulfranzösisch auf unserer Seite) ganz gut.

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l'emplacement de la maison, son agencement sur trois niveaux, son équipement (y compris pour de jeunes enfants), sa propreté, l'amabilité de ses propriétaires, ainsi que la possibilité de garer notre véhicule dans un terrain situé à quelques minutes à pied (précieux à Etretat). A noter que la maison ne dispose pas du wi-fi : une bonne occasion pour déconnecter...

Nous avons passé une semaine à Etretat. La maison est très propre et décorée avec goût, la literie est très confortable, les ustensiles de cuisine sont de qualité et complets, c'est agréable d'y séjourner.
