Gorgeous hotel in a great location!

Such a pretty hotel. Gorgeous decor. We went at Christmas time and it looked like a Dickensian house decorated with lanterns and foliage. Gorgeous! Superb location. We loved everything!

Overpriced and noisy

Comfortable matresses

Extremely noisy outside into early hours, and noisy guests returning, very late. Apparently there were complimentary earplugs in bedside drawer but how would one know that. Only one brand of tea, two sachets Nescafé with powdered milk. Creepy antler thing hanging from ceiling!

Beautiful boutique hotel

This hotel went above all our expectations. We stayed just one night. Our room was called Boutique. Very modern, clean, and comfortable. Our room had a very large superking bed, smart tv, small table and two chairs. A small kitchenette with a two ring hob, microwave, kettle, utensils plates, pans, and minbar fridge. The minibar was stocked with beers, wine, soft drinks and water at an extra cost and complimentary milk, tea coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, and sweets. Fresh towels and beautiful bedding. They really have thought of everything. There was also an ironing board iron and hair dryer. Wet room with toilet sink and shower, very modern and beautiful. The location was just perfect with a multistorey car park right next-door at a cost of £16 for 24 hours. Very reasonable for a city centre. In walking distance to the high streets with tons of shops bars and restaurants. Chester is a beautiful historic city with plenty of options for things to do. Overall a fantastic place to stay in a beautiful city. 5* accommodation and highly recommended.

It was close to the main centre and very comfortable and very luxurious.

USB ports on bedside didn’t work on side closest to the bathroom and heated mirror didn’t work. Very small problems really.

Wonderful hotel, welcoming staff and high standard of decor and cleanliness

Loved the decor in the rooms, amd the scent throughout the hotel was lovely. Lauren and the staff were great. Very friendly and accommodating. Two minutes walk from the heart of Chester. Definitely recommend a stay at this hotel

Great staff on the front and a very cosy and relaxed atmosphere. Great location for getting around Chester and a good pub next door.

The location is great as it’s slap bang in the centre of Chester and the parking is next door, so no traipsing through the city with your luggage.The apartment was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. The staff were very friendly and super helpful. I’ve booked again !!

A beautiful comfortable room in need of a little TLC

The bed was comfortable. There were plenty of towels and the staff were very friendly

Close to City, dog friendly nice place.

The location was good, but no chance of a good view as the front faced a car park whilst the view from the room was rear facing and over looking some building work. However, with the curtains shut, it was a nice place. It is a dog friendly place and 2 dog beds and dishes were provided and appreciated. The staff were good and were able to take on our luggage before check-in and after check-out which was a big help. Once booked, our questions were answered promptly.

There were 2 TV's in the bedroom and living room. After turning off the bedroom TV, we couldn't get it back on again. It wasn't a problem.

Excellent Apartment in the Heart of Chester.

The apartment was spacious, well kept and clean, and was only a few minutes walk from Eastgate Street where most of the local shops, bars and restaurants are. Parking at the nearby Grosvenor Shopping Centre was £15 for under 24 hours which was very handy. Staff were fantastic, the Manager Lauren went above and beyond to make the stay for myself and partner as smooth and enjoyable as possible - absolutely faultless service, 10/10. I would strongly recommend The Hotel Chester to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Chester City Centre.

Excellent hotel but some noisy neighbours

Lovely room, fabulous shower, staff really kind and helpful

The nearby late night venue (the Church) was VERY loud on a Saturday night until 2am! Not at all the fault of the hotel and obviously a city centre location risks some late night noise but it was the only downside that might affect me booking here again.
