Love the decor. Very hospitable team. Lovely comfortable ambience. Great rooms, comfy modern space. Felt safe for solo stay. Great breakfast and dining space. Lovely bar and wine choices. Great location, easy for trains, buses or taxi. Close to all the attractions, shopping, bars and restaurants and a Tesco extra store. 5 minute walk to the River DEE with more dining and bars walking distance to rIver dee, more bars and restaurent choices, Walking distance to Theatre and Cathedral, bars and dining, market and shopping scene.

Fantastic place to stay in Chester as a group, 100% will be back!

Absolutely fantastic apartment, HUGE!! Staff were exceptional, I had a couple of requests before arrival & they were more than obliging. Heating was on in the apartment when we arrived, it was such a cold & bitter day this was really appreciated.

A lovely find with easy walking access to Chester city centre.

Fabulous 3 bed, 3 bathroom apartment. Well equipped and homely. So much nicer than having multiple hotel rooms for a night away with friends or family. Very easy access to Chester. Great find and will definitely be back.

Parking spaces would potentially be a little tight if all apartments occupied. Access slope on exit difficult as too steep where it joins the road and catches the bottom of the car.

Lovely short break in perfect hotel

Loved this quirky hotel, lovely warm welcome. Really central for Chester. The amazing breakfast freshly cooked and the discounted car park. We loved the roll top bath in the bedroom great for a good soak after long day walking.will definitely be back.🫶

Oddfellows stay

The hotel was in a great location, just a few skips and you in the town centre. The team at the hotel were super friendly and really made us feel welcome.Our room was gorgeous with a huge free standing bath.It was New years eve, the hotel bar was lively with a DJ on. Some great tunes with a blast from the past! Loved it!

This apartment No.5 was beautiful and had everything you needed and more .if your reading this don't hesitate book it now .

The appointment was so big and would definitely suit 2 couples very comfortably.Both bedrooms were en suite.Beautiful.

Fantastic service, quirky and welcoming hotel.

It’s very quirky, we stayed in the loft room, such wonderful period features, huge bed, 2 roll top baths and large shower. Accessed via a very old staircase. The toilet was in a cupboard, very interesting as a man trying to stand up 😆 Staff were fantastic prior when asking to make the evening extra special and very welcoming during our stay. The bar, restaurant areas are fantastic and we had a lovely cocktail. Location is excellent, in walking distance of everything and a half price car park a short walk away (Pepper street)

Having to boil the kettle on the floor; although this was very interesting and added a little to the experience, this is no normal room/hotel.

Comfortable room in central location.

Good sized room. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Nice shower. Central location. We were allowed to check in early. Fridge in room was useful.

Bathroom layout was a little strange with a swinging glass door which made the area not very private. We would have preferred ordinary sachets of coffee and mugs rather than a coffee machine with small cups.

The room was nice, cosy and had some interesting decor. Bed was comfy. It was loud outside but quietened down at a reasonable time so we still slept ok. Staff were helpful and friendly.

I would only stay here alone or with someone you are very close to. I stayed here with my best friend. We are about as close as friends can be. We have stayed somewhere with a frosted glass bathroom before and found it ok for a night or 2. But the frosted glass in this hotel left nothing to the imagination. You could see above and below the frosted bit and the frosting was very transparent. I understand it is supposed to make the room seem bigger. But we would've rather there have been a shower curtain or something for at least a bit of privacy. I did find it quite expensive but it was also in a good location and had a nice atmosphere, would only stay here in a pinch as there are nicer hotels for a similar price.

The doors were open throughout the hotel and it was draughty and cold everywhere in the bar/lounge . The bedrooms with bathroom you are overlooked from the bedroom isn’t for everybody.

Ok, but needs attention.

Very large apartment for a family of four. Styled as per the main hotel. Allocated parking for one car. There seemed to be ev chargers at every parking bay.

The apartment was tired and required decorating, particularly the en-suite. The allocated parking bay was used by other guests, both on our day of arrival and departure. The apartment wasn't overly warm and the sash windows rattled with the wind throughout the night.

Room was very noisy, was 3am before it quietened downs There had been a considerable leak from the shower at some point . Carpet was stained and mouldy in areas Hole in bathroom floor, assume this was from said leak.

Disappointing night away

Really clean and friendly staff

I treated my husband to a night away in Chester for our anniversary and his belated birthday treat. I was disappointed that the hotel had not done anything at all special in the room despite me emailing them. I booked the restaurant in the hotel for a romantic dinner and as vegetarians, we had looked at the menu on line before booking. We dressed up and the menus we got given were totally different to online, with 1 veggie option that neither of us liked. We were told the chef had changed...the restaurant was empty at 7.30pm and this says a lot...the bed was uncomfortable with a spring sticking out and the noise outside went on till late...no phone in the room to call reception and we went down to ask for a remote for the TV and never recieved one.. so much for a romantic night away and wished I'd saved my money and gone elsewhere. Won't be returning..

Great location, lovely rooms, great breakfast - would stay here again.

Room was lovely. Very quirky. Breakfast was very good.

The only downside was that there was a very strong smell of "weed" when entering the room. We got reception to come and investigate and they agreed. Seems someone outside was regularly smoking it. Couldn't change rooms as they were totally full.

Satisfactory stay.

Central location

No parking, bad smell like drains, blind in bedroom did not close. The car park is a public car park 5 mins away, which is not ideal in bad weather. Reception staff were lovely, but the bar staff less so (upstairs bar) and it seemed an effort to serve us.

The property allows pets which enabled us to bring our dog, this was a big plus for us The breakfast was beautiful, the staff were lovely even giving sausages to our dog for her breakfast! Thank you we had a lovely stay

The property did state that they were a lively venue Our room was over looking the beer garden and it was a little noisy when trying to sleep but things soon quietened down

I was kindly upgraded by a member of staff and this was a real treat considering I was going through a tough breakup.

A unique, comfortable and friendly hotel in aperfect location to visit the city. local

The hotel has unique features including a secret garden. Our room was so comfortable and individually designed with a round bed. The decor of the hotel is colourful and friendly and all staff were helpful, especially Daniel who welcomed us. It’s in a perfect location to visit Chester.
