The Townhouse Chester

Good size room with 4 single beds. Good facilities eg iron, ironing board, fan, ample towels, tea and coffee. Great location. Excellent breakfast and lovely staff. Really nice outdoor area.

Everything and brilliant location

Only one observation is that it could have done with two toilets with the amount of people in it.

Breakfast was fab. Room was compact but clean and good facilities. Fan was provided in the room which was welcome as a warm day.

Walls were a little thin. Could hear next doors TV and people talking. Floor was creaky but I think we were above the reception so didn’t matter.

Location is excellent, a bit away from the noise of city center, but close enough for easy walk. Staff was usually friendly and helpful, e.g. to provide an adaptor for the UK mains plug. Shower.

The Hotel has no elevator, nor Airconditioning in the room. I understand that the heat wave 06/2026 was exceptional, but nevertheless, I spent 5 nights soaking in my own sweat. The small movable fan in the room did not do any good. The room was hotter than outside, despite open windows. The entry to the shower is very narrow. With beer belly, entry is only possible sideways. There are no mains outlets in the bathroom.
