    Good location for Chester zoo. Park and ride 2 mins away to go into Chester. Nothing around the hotel, apart from Costa.(This was walking). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was really good. Rooms are basic . Did have bath and shower. House keeping:- Needed a good clean. Dust on ironing board and tops. Bath mat absolutely disgusting, black mould on top and underneath of mat. Grout needed replacing on bathroom tiles.

    Staff are very friendly, hotel is a 10 min drive into Chester or bus service is available. If walking is your thing there's a nice walk along the canal into Chester. The room's of the hotel are looking tired and in need of refurbishment and updating. We stayed in a double compact room which i wouldn't recommend. Not very big at all with a standard double bed. Bathroom was small and basic but was adequate for our stay. One downside there wasn't a walkin shower. It was a shower over a bath which needed to be navigated could be a problem for some. If booking would highly recommend having a bigger room ie classic double or privileged room if budget allows. Breakfast was included in the price and was not bad at all.

    Stayed for 1 night in compact double, room wasn’t ready until 1hr 15 mi s after check in time , room dirty on arrival. No refrigerator as advertised, shower didn’t work, dirty cups in bathroom and only main light worked none of the bulbs in any of the wall lamps, lots of marks on the walls holes etc poorly maintained very musky smell in general definitely not 4 star more 2+ to be honest
