Rough beginning, overall good trip.

Perfect location, view of a church and right across the street there is a really nice bakery. Within walking distance you're met with a couple different bars and really pretty buildings. The apartment was clean and smelled really nice, had plenty of towels, and some additional soaps if you forget your own.

The first apartment we were put into (apartment two) had a gas leak, we arrived around 9pm, right at the cut off time for contact with the host. There are not any emergency numbers outside of law enforcement posted on the door. We had no other way of contacting the host, had to text a few times, and call quite a few times until we reached someone to let them know the gas was leaking. They offered us to stay in the hotel despite the leak, saying they would be sending someone tomorrow after we checkout. We let them know it was not safe to stay in the apartment due to the leak and she then asked us if we used the room. Having children, the first thing they did was find their beds and lay in them. She seemed disappointed, which i could understand to an extent. After a few back and forths, they sent us the code to apartment one which was wonderful. They also double charged us city taxes per person, as it was included in the price while booking and was already paid. When we brought up the double charge of city tax, she offered to send 4 euro of the 31 euros total paid for city taxes. We discontinued conversation, she sent us 4 Euro back with our deposit despite paying 31 euros city tax for 6 people for one night.

Lesson learned...the hard way

Location was only thing good

Wifi didn't work, staircase was archaic, management unfriendly/unresponsive to wifi not working for 2 days; which cause the TV not to work, and hurt our ability to research since we weren't from the country. Shower water temp would change suddenly when someone used the water in another room. 2nd floor, but could hear everything/everyone outside all hours of the night. Would not stay there again.

Loverly apartment, perfectly situated (better if you do not come by car)

It is very well located if you want to visit Antwerp central district. The apartment is nicely size and well equipped. Beds were comfortable.

Parking is expensive and registering my rental car for the Low Emissions zone was a pain. Locating the property with all the one was and road works was a challenge. Having to pay a breakage deposit is difficult if you do not have a European bank account. I ended up having to open a PayPal account and now that the deposit was refunded, I have no way to return the funds to my local bank.

Good apartment

It was very clean, and as in the photos. It was ok for a short stay, and quite central. Friendly staff, no problem with the payment and return of the deposit.

No air conditioning, just a ventilator. If for the living room that is ok, in the other room it was even warmer.

My stay at "Bonjour apartment"

Olena is a great host. She provided clear instructions and kindly guided me to find parking and how to get to the property.. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The apartment had a beautiful view. The washer worked very well. Easy to check-in and check-out. Great location close to attractions.

Is not that I didn't like it, but it is important to note that you need to use stairs to get to the apartment. Consider this if you have a lot of luggage.

Good location and a so so stay

Location was excellent. However, I believe the city is building tram tracks on the street, so a bit of detour/uneven pavement/noise.

- it is on the 3rd floor: a walk up with no elevator, only steep narrow stairs; maybe it was in the description, but I didn’t know before booking - the floor is sloped! I felt that a strong wind outside would bring down the apt! I am sure it is safe, but I didn’t feel 100% safe - we were there when it was ~80F/27C.The room was extremely hot! No AC and what is worse is that all (except 1) windows are nailed shut and couldn’t be opened. The fans helped, but not much. - the toilet leaked water, so we needed to flush multiple times to make the water stop - The owner asked us not to use beds/linens more than the # of people; it is a fair request, but the tone was more a ‘demand’ rather than a ‘please’; other communications were similar that I did not get a warm and friendly feeling - there was a washing machine, however, I couldn’t find a drying rack to dry the clothes. Had to utilize the limited # of hangers in the closest - the owner emailed a week ago to ask for city tax and deposit paid first before the checkin code can be shared; maybe this is the norm for this city, but it was quite annoying to have to pay in advance (need to figure out wire internationally) rather than paying by credit card on site

Is good for people hanging out at night. If you need to have a peaceful night, is not recommended.

The location of the apartment was good, is near to central by walking distance.

The surroundings of the apartment is very noisy specially at night. We had a sleepless night. Noise from outside, people shouting, laughing, talking, motor vehicle, dogs barking. Noise from the neighbors above us.. walking around past midnight, up and down the stairs. The flooring is not sound proof.

Amazingly great location, 3 minutes of walk to the heart of Antwerpen. Comfortable and clean apartment. Enough space for a big group of people.

No parking space, but it’s understandable. Center can be occupied by locals only and there are several paid parkings around

Great location

The apartment was not clean. There was only a half-used toilet paper roll. The sheets were old and didn't look clean at all. There was no can opener at home -I know that it is a small thing, but really important.

nice and pleasant

the place is clean, and just blocks away from the center. it’s really cossy and has a good view from inside.

the bond has to made through a bank transaction or paypal and cam be a bit tricky if you bank is from outside europe, it was easy to make using paypal, and I got it back really quick but paypal can be a bit tricky when you want to transfer the money back to your bank

Very poor

It was cheap

The host asks you to transfer 100€ to them directly as a deposit. It was returned, but it wasn't something that I was very comfortable doing without going through Booking. Then the apartment itself is falling apart. The door to the bathroom is broken and cannot be closed properly. The appartment door also needs to be pushed with some force in order to be locked. The oven is also broken (with a sticker, to let you know). The appartment has terrible sound insulation, so you will hear everything going on in the street, including the tram that stops in front, but also everything from the other apartments. Lastly, there is no way to block the light from the outside, so sleeping was impossible. Just book some other place, the location and price is not worth the terrible conditions.

Good appartement in the city center of Antwerp

Appartement well located in the city center of Antwerp, super easy to enter with a key in a box. The appartement was also super clean and the beds super comfy. I highly recommend.

The apartment is pretty small, I advice for one night (for a group of friends).

Nice cozy appartment in the middle of Antwerp. it has everything that you need to visit Antwerp for a few days. Also close to the Meir (shopping street) and the local bars

Didn't sleep well

If you're not too worried about sleeping and you like being in a central spot, this is a good place to stay.

If wasn't that clean to be honest. But more importantly, if you're not an easy sleeper, you will not like this. The tram is in front of the appartment. It's noisy and it runs till midnight or 1 am. Secondly, the curtains are not blocking the streets lights so it doesn't get really dark in the appartment.

Location was Good

Internet didn't work at all and the owner never replied to us about this. The toilet area wasn't clean properly and oven didn't work.
