Good location BUT bad soundproofing!

The location is pretty good, just right next to the Grote Markt

The sound proofing is horrible, since the bed is on the mezzanine, and close to the roof, when u sleep you have a feeling that the neighbours upstairs were walking on top of your face, not a pleasant sleep at all!!

Fantastic location, not suitable for everybody.

The location of course is perfect. Right between the cathedral and the main square. The living room looked cozy and renovated. It definitely has atmosphere.

There were some minor inconveniences. First the light in the attic room didn't work. It was completely dark. The bath looks old and some tiles around are broken. Last but not least, there is an airco or heating system outside that turns on every 10 minutes and makes a lot of noise and vibrations throughout the appartement. This isn't a appartement suitable for elderly and immobile people. All the stairs are very steep and narrow.

Big and clean flat in the city centre with own bathroom and kitchen (not exactly "luxury", but equipped with all basic stuff); perfect starting point for a sightseeing tour

The old house is extremely badly soundproofed and we heard people walking in the flat above us almost all night (not between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m.), which is why we almost didn't sleep. Maybe we were just unlucky, but other people seemed to have the same problem.

The apartment is super cute 😍

We had a lovely stay at this apartment! It’s in a fantastic location, very central and convenient for everything. The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The host clearly takes good care of the apartment.

The only downside was that our neighbors were quite loud with music at night, which made it hard to sleep. However, this wasn’t the apartment’s fault and might not always be the case.

Fantastic Old World Charm.

Amazing location right next to the Cathedral! Lots of cafes and restaurants right at my doorstep. Will definitely stay there again!

There wasn’t anything that I disliked except, perhaps, the shower had one setting: scalding hot lol. Maybe I didn’t use the shower properly, that is possible. Still would stay there again.

Apartment with Cathedral and Old Town views

Great location in the old town. Step out the door and you are right in the middle of restaurants and attractions. Spacious apartment with lovely views from big front windows. Bed was comfortable after climbing the ladder steps. Easy check in and check out. Apartment has basic things you need. Beautiful old building which did mean you heard neighbours upstairs walking around in upstairs apartment.

Nothing we couldn't live with, but no kitchen sink plug, water doesn't drain from shower recess very well.

The location could not be better, right next to the cathedral and grand place. The room is large and very comfortable and would definitely come back!!!

The entry stairs and the stairs inside are VERY steep and would be a huge issue for older or more u stable travellers. Although it didn’t affect us.

Amazing location, watch the stairs!!

The apartment is in an amazing location, right near the cathedral and the main squares. Lots of places to eat right outside the doorstep, and sights to see. The apartment is very special and is light and was clean, beds were comfortable. It was also very roomy.please note the steps are steep, we left all our luggage on the lower floor as it would it was easier given the shower etc. was on that floor.

Overall we liked the apartment, just a few bits of information to share that we thought was not included in the description. There was no washing machine despite the picture and description of the apartment. There are 3 flights of stairs to get up to the apartment and some steps are steep, with some narrow parts. Ideal to not have heavy bags!! Please note the door to the bathroom is frosted glass...for some people this might be challenging especially if you are not comfortable with people seeing your silhouette. There are no doors separating the bedrooms, it is all open, so if you are travelling with heavy sleepers who snore you might need ear plugs. But overall, an excellent apartment for its location and roomy nature.

Lovely cozy apartment in the Heart of Antwerp with crappy Wi-Fi.

Very nice and spacious. Super central. They had things like cold water, ice, q-tips etc. Little touches that made the stay that much more comfortable. I loved the apartment and location!

The Wi-Fi was absolute s***. If you need a place to work—don’t stay here. Sad, because it is truly a great place. Also, you’ll definitely hear the neighbors upstairs walking around all day. It didn’t bother me as I am used to it in these types of old apartments. They offer ear plugs though in case it is troublesome when you’re trying to sleep. My advice: Seriously, fix the Wi-Fi. I saw people complaining about it in other reviews before I booked but was hoping it was fixed. I ended up having to use my data which is going to cost me. I would love to rate this place higher but no Wi-Fi is a no-go these days.

nice and lots of space, close to centre, cosy, comfortable beds, good shower, good taste, for this price it feels really a nice place to stay!

the communication beforehand was a little bit confusing, a lot of text with penalties...which makes me not feeling really welcome, I can understand about the rules, but it would be nice to feel welcome too; the text is not in fluently English, which lead to a misunderstanding concerning the key and box; There was water under the floor in the bathroom...we suppose there was a leak, hope it will be fixed soon

Excellent value, stylish flat in the centre of Antwerp

What an excellent location and price! Tastefully decorated and comfortable apartment too, which was very clean and fresh.

For those who are thinking of booking the room on the first floor with the double bunk bed, I think it’s important to know that the noise from the room above can be incredibly loud. On our first night, we had some quite inconsiderate people above us and we literally heard every step and conversation from 9pm until 3am (I heard even through my earplugs). If you are not a good sleeper and need your 8 hours, I’d book the larger flat above this one. I believe the hosts are aware of this difficulty as there were earplugs left on the table, and it’s an old building so really can’t be helped!

Amazing Location with awesome view of the square. You can see the cathedral upclose through your window 😃 . There is plenty of space for a group of 4-5 people.

The staircase leading to the apartment is really old,dark and narrow. I would not recommend it for old people and kids as the stairs are not safe.

Good apartment in heart of Antwerpen.

Location is the best, just in the middle of the city, Nello's sculpture is a view from the window - incredible. Apartment is very spacious and has everything we needed.

Stairs. Very steep stairs. And lot of them. Apartment itself on third floor with narrow spiral staircase to it, and there are 3 floors in apartment - with steep cases from one to the other. And the bathroom is on the first floor, while bedrooms are on the second and third one. I would not recommend it for families with small kids or people who have problems with stairs.

the location is convenient IF you like being right in the tourist centre and surrounded by restaurants serving poor quality food, putting their huge piles of rubbish on the street, and with a shop underneath selling tourist tat (it’s a beautiful location but kind of ruined)

the staff are unfriendly and unhelpful. being asked to pay €2.97 separately to the main bill and via bank wire Transfer is inconvenient. being asked to provide proof you actually paid it is insulting. the property is in an older state than the photos suggest, it’s also not clear that there are two apartments and which photos are of which apartments. it’s also noisy (upstairs neighbours, bin men, the shop downstairs opening early in the morning)

A nice view but they don't live up to the name they use for the accommodation.

The location is very nice, you go outside and you are in the middle of Antwerpen. If you take a limestep like we did you can do the sightseeing of Antwerpen a lot faster and its also a lot of fun! The bathroom was well taken care of and it was quite clean.

To start with, communication with the owner was very poor. There is no reception so the owner sends you a code of the key lock once you have paid for everything. The only thing left for us to pay was the tourist tax. This we wanted to pay in cash instead of transferring it to an unknown bank that the owner had sent to us. After two days, my partner contacted Booking.com regarding the question we had. Booking.com had helped us well and they would contact the owner. After 1 day, the owner contacted us with that paying the tourist tax in cash was okay. This was not a nice start to the holiday, waiting to see if we could go in at all once we got there. Furthermore, I found the kitchen very disappointing. The accommodation is literally called: luxury suites. Well it was far from that. There were only two pans, dirty cutlery, glasses that were missing and a tap that leaked. The kitchen was really bad. Personally, I would not stay here again in the future. Due to poor communication and the very poor kitchen.

you need to climb down from the sleeping area to the toilet which is in the nicht quite dangerous. the bed from the second floor is not really uncomfortable, it was shaking the whole night, so one person had to sleep on the couch, but the couch cause me back pain for the next day. The shower is not isolated. the water keeps coming out from the bathtub when showering.

Amazing location right between the Cathedral and the main square. Clean and fine for a nights stay. Lockbox so no hassle or check in or out which was good.

The toilet needed more privacy as you are right by a frosted door and the kitchen units were pretty run down.

The apartment had a very bad smell coming from the hallway. A lot of noise coming from the upstairs neighbours. absolutely no soundproofing. I wouldn’t recommend this apartment if you want to have a good night rest.
