Good location, helpful owner. It was possible to check in earlier and check out later.

The temperature was cold in the apartment. There is no elevator in the building so you have to carry up your luggages to the 4th floor.

All adequately suited our needs for a short stay

Great location for us being near the station and on a street with a huge choice of eateries to suit all budgets Easy to get to main sites of interest and good for watching the world go by from the window It was really cosy and warm when outside was quite cold, the shower was very good and the bed comfortable The apartment was minimally equipped but did have what we needed

The approach up steep narrow stairs was the least attractive aspect and the light to our floor wasn’t functioning properly which felt dodgy

Spacious, bright and cozy

The apartment was spacious and bright while still feeling cozy. It was the perfect place to share with friends for a weekend away. Check-in was very easy, and the host was wonderfully flexible, which we really appreciated!

The apartment is one open space, with two sofa beds in the living area and the bedroom behind a wall. For us, this felt cozy and comfortable, but it’s something to keep in mind when booking with your group.

Good location, but overall basic and bad air in the room

There were two bedrooms with a lot of space and the beds were still very comfortable The location is good, there is public transport nearby to get to the airport

Because downstairs is the dining room, it smells like a kitchen. There are a lot of exhaust pipes at the back of the apartment and you can't open the windows because of the noise

Location was great and was very clean and cozy. Easy check in. and out. Host was easy to chat with and accessible for any questions.

Hot water heater could be little bigger for longer shower. Lots of steps! But a nice neighbor did offer to help with our luggage up the stairs.

Great location with spacious rooms but services can be improved

The location is great. The apartment is very spacious. The main bed is comfortable. the toilet space is also good. Till we checked in the response was very prompt and polite. The second bed was perfect for our kids but for adults it may be shorter. Space wise it was very big and the location is too good. Adjacent to the Railway station and just 5 min walk to Rooseveltplads bus stop. And it is the main street with loads of shops around and great eating options.

it is written 24 hrs front desk in the description but there is actually no front desk like any other apartments. 1. the building staircase needs serious repair. it was broken and very risky to move with luggage and kids. We won't get to know which floor we will stay in, beforehand so it's very difficult to plan. We were in apartment 6 and on the 3rd floor. It was not easy. 2. When I read the reviews the previous feedback has not been taken into suggestions at all. The owner does not care it seems a. Coffee sachets - many people suggested to provide it was not. b. liquid hand wash and better brush c better bed linen and blanket d no pedestal fan provided (it's a must in both rooms) --- all these were mentioned nothing was taken care of -- 3. our Oven / cooking range was faulty and when we complained the owner ( Sam) response was very harsh and he said he is too tired and exhausted. Then he called back and asked to use the oven in the next apartment number 5 for that night. But we stayed there for 3 nights 4 days and it was never repaired. And the next Apartment got guests from the other day so we could not use it. 4. The WC had very rusty marks and it was not a pleasant thing. the flush button cover kept falling off. As a customer I took pictures and informed him as soon as we checked in so that he is informed. In reply I received "too much". We understand he has multiple properties and many businesses to take care of and he may be tired but as a customer we can't help it and we don't deserve rude replies. 5. To pay the early check-in amount I was instructed to pay it at the restaurant below (Yababa) to the manager. I visited there 3-4 times in the morning (before 10) - evenings(after 9pm) before we used to start our day for the trip and at the end. And the manager was never there. The staff were not informed of course about any such apartment related payment.

Sam gave very good instructions about how to find the property and enter it, given that the access might not be easy to locate from the street. The apartment was spacious and it had all which was needed for a comfortable and cozy stay. Very good location, very close to the train station in the diamond district.

Amazing, comfortable, perfect stay.

The apartment is in the perfect location. Right around the corner from Antwerp Centraal Station, and only a short walk to the shopping district. Very good location. We had everything you could ever need in the apartment. The shower was lovely, and huge too! We had a stove, microwave, kettle, and a very generous sized fridge. The main bed was very comfortable, and also huge! One of the sofa beds was slightly faulty, in that the cushions would fall into the base, but I’m sure thats an easy fix. Sam, the owner, was an absolute perfect host. He responded very quickly to any messages and always was the kindest in his responses. He also gave us a voucher for the restaurant next to the apartment, which was so kind. We will 100% stay here again on our next trip to Antwerp. Thank you Sam!

The only negative about the apartment is the stairs leading to it. They are quite narrow and steep but honestly the quality of the apartment is so worth the few flights of stairs.

Good Apartment for 4 people (max) next to Central Station

Location is good (100 mts for central station entrance). Spacious for 2 or 4 people (2 adults, 2 kids). Cleaned but the maintenance not good.

The sofa was broken and also dirty (not well maintain). It was offered for 6 people and only can sleep 4. The smell from te toilette and the sewer. Also, not curtains in one window made the light entered in the whole apartment.

Cosy apartment on a busy road

Room 1, 1st floor (not the first picture advertised for the location). Great location when it comes to exploring the city, and is close to the train station (+-2 min walk). Very cosy-looking, spacious apartment, well equiped for a few days stay. Great shower, with good water pressure and quick to heat up. Bathroom in general very hygienic, and good size. Kitchen with good basic equipment, and some tea as well. Very detailed information from the owner prior to arrival, as well as we found a nice informative booklet in the room itself, about both the apartment, as well as services and attractions in the city.

Located on a busy, noisy main road (lots of shop and car alarms, shouting drunkards, and loud early morning cleaning outside), but more importantly, there was a very bright street lamp right outside the window, making the room quite bright at night. Matrass was great (except having a bump at the foot of it), but bed frame creaked a lot, even tho we are both quite light. Small point: curtain pulls are up quite high, which is good from a child safety point of view, but less practical for shorter people.

Comfy apartment close to the central station

Big and spacious apartment, super close to the central station. Comfortable, we had everything we needed. Lots of cool places to hang nearby - cafes, bars, restaurants - as well as shops to buy whatever you need - clothes, food etc. flawless communication. We had everything we needed before arriving, Sam even got us a 15% discount at a stake house nearby.

Great location, comfortable and clean apartment.

Excellent location right near the train station, yet it was quiet inside and we didn't hear much street noise from the 3F. Kitchen is well stocked with the utensils, dishes and pots needed for simple cooking. Apartment is clean and nicely arranged. Sam has prepared a thorough welcome guide to Antwerp.

Initial shock over the booking price because I used Booking.com on my computer and I missed seeing the excluded cleaning fee of 60 euros which made it not as good a deal as it appeared. The mobile app shows the total price so there isn't this confusion. Unfortunately, Sam did not allow me to cancel, though he did give us a free upgrade when we arrived, or I would have switched to a cheaper place.

Great space, highly recommend

Location. 2 min walk to train station. Very comfortable. Table, couch, bed, bathroom, nice sized shower, small kitchenette. Easy to find, good communication with Sam. Though it was on a busy street, still wasn't too loud to sleep at night.

Needs a bigger fan maybe? Maybe a couple bigger pillows. These are VERY minor things. Fantastic stay.

Great location, one minute walk to Antwerp Central Station. Plenty of space and the unit was very comfortable and clean. The communication with the host was very easy.

Not satisfactory experience

Location

Our experience in "Sam in Antwerpens " was not satisfactory. We agreed with Sam to extend our checkout 3 hours in order to leave our things in the apartment the last day. However Sam called us the checkout morning declaring he didn´t remember that agreement and requested to pay an additional extra night because of the time we left our things inside. We explained what we agreed and we offered to talk in person to clarify the situation and to immediately come back to the apartment to collect our things. Then he started threating and shouting on the phone. For two times he unexpectedly hanged the call so the communication with him was not possible. We were very afraid of coming back to the apartment to collect our things. We don´t recommend this apartment at all due to the threatening and aggressive communication used towards us.

Perfect place for a short trip in Antwerp

perfect location, close to all public transportation the place was bright , loads of space , main bedroon at the back so not noisy very nicely decorated

A nice loft apartment in a brilliant location, but with a less-than stellar cleaning routine!

The apartment was huge and the location was wonderful, a mere few minutes from Antwerp Main Train Station, with everything just a few minutes away. p.s. Please note that the loft apartment is on the 7th floor, with an extremely narrow staircase.

We had pre-approval to arrive early for an extra fee of €30, which was a disaster! The owner was not at fault but there must have been a misunderstanding with the cleaning staff as when we got there, the apartment was a mess! I won't go into any more detail as although we had to stay and watch while I organised the staff to clean and tidy to expectation, and we lost a few hours while doing so, I'm still willing to believe that the fault was a mis-communication between the owner and his staff. Our booking.com payment was not reduced, but the €30 extra fee was not charged. All the same, what should have probably been a "9" is now lowered to a "6" due to the time wasted, stress and inconvenience!

Highly recommended.

The location is perfect as it’s only 300m away from the Central Station. Masses of restaurants, burger and other places just a minute away. The apartment is spacious, clean and well taken care of. Very easy to self-check in with codes to the front door and the apartment door.

One sofa was broken and we were not informed about it. It was very uncomfortable to sleep on an non-expendable couch. Even if the apartment was presented as being for 6 persons, it was for maximum 4 persons.

Not recommended for families travelling with small children.

The communication with the host was excellent. The location at the doorstep of the train station was very convenient.

Since we travelled with two small kids and requested two crips, but could only use one because the other one was missing essential pieces, was a letdown. Furthermore, the narrow and steep staircase is unsuitable for small kids and prams. The music coming from the restaurant terrace below was annoying. We stayed on the second floor in room 3.
