Maria our hostess is a very friendly and helpful person. She went out of her way to make our stay perfect. Breakfast in the garden was amazing. The location is excellent and the room was spotless.Excellent value for money .I highly recommend this place. Will definitely go again some time.

Lovely room with a gorgeous view and a kettle.

A lovely room with a gorgeous view. The guesthouse is handy for the funicular to the high valley, and a short flat walk from the ferry across the lake to the station. The breakfast was great, and the hosts were very welcoming.

I had a great stay at this Haus Trausner. The room was large and comfortable, the owner was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, everything was clean, and the wife worked well. The location is good as everything in the town is just a short walk away.

I had no problems and have no complaints. I had a great 3-night stay and would stay there again.

Must stay in Hallstatt!

Haus Trausner was an amazing stay. It was close to the town and very accessible. The room was exceptionally clean and cosy with beautiful views. The host Maria was extremely friendly and helpful. Her hospitality warms our hearts. The breakfast she provides is delicious and more than we could eat. We definitely recommend Haus Trausner as a must stay in Hallstatt!

Our stay was lovely! Breakfast was amazing, and the host was so kind and helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed. So cozy!

The wifi didn't work super well, and the house was definitely a walk from the city center. However, it was so worth it. And a nice walk when it wasn't snowing!

A great stay in a gorgeous location. Our host, Maria, was an angel. Always cheerful and so happy to help. Lovely breakfast in the garden started us off well each day. Location was great, only a 10 min walk from the ferry and 5 mins from the central sea front. Would recommend to all.

Exceptional

The location is unbeatable -- it is at the quiet end of Hallstatt in Lahn, very near the Salzwelten entry point. I looooove this house, it is so nice and cosy, my little one loved the comfortable bed and slept like the baby that he is. Maria is a lovely host and she gave us lots of tips going around Hallstatt. Thank you for having us and making our Hallstatt stay truly memorable ❤️

Amazing location and the owner went above and beyond to make sure i had an amazing stay. The room was of a good size and amenities as described. Also a good breakfast choice.

Best stay. Best host.

Maria was the high point of our stay. She is so warm and friendly. She was always helping us with a warm smile and communicated very well. She also pointed out a wonderful trail which has now become the highlight of our European trip. It was because of her and this stay that Hallstatt has become the best place we ever visited. The place is only 5min walking from Hallstatt Lahn bus stand. You can take a buss from obertraun(bus 543). Also to reach here you can take ferry and walk for 15mins. The train arrivals and departures are synced with ferry timings. Bus timings are 30mins away mostly from train timings. But its amazingly synchronized. Dont think just book with Maria.

best location, 2 minutes walking from the bus terminal lahn and ist easy to go with a big luggage!!! Its amazing! Maria (the host) really nice people and so lovely!! Definitely im coming back here again next trip in Hallstat!!

very clean facilities, polite, helpful and responsive (to messages and calls) host, great location and superb comfort (beds and pillows were amazing) and it has a parking place, you really don’t need anything else.

the lack of eggs in the breakfast, but to be fair its not so common in any of the facilities that I’ve stayed so far in Austria (also compared with the rest of the facilities with included breakfasts that i had in Austria, this was the best one)

A wonderful stay, if I could I would give more than ten stars.

Maria is one of the best hosts I have ever had in my years of travel and is incredibly hospitable, kind, and generous. The breakfast was delicious; the room was impeccably clean; the bed was comfortable; and the house was quiet, cozy, and peaceful in the evening. Her home is centrally located and within walking distance to all the viewing points, museums, and the funicular to the salt mine/world heritage viewpoint. Hallstatt was beautiful this time of year with all the Autumn colors. We had a wonderful time and our stay with Maria was one of the highlights of our trip overall. I wish her family all the best, thank you!

Amazing place in the village that looks like it comes from a fairytale. Great host who was super kind and made us a delicious breakfast every morning in the garden. Rooms were super clean and comfy. Location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the village by foot. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Maria was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was served in our room, which was great and more than enough for two adults. The room was clean and comfortable. The house's location is perfect. The biggest adventage is the parking possibility. We had a very good time here. :)
