Pleasant stay with beautiful view

My friend and I had a one night stay at the property. We arrived early and the owner was very kind and helpful in getting the room ready for us as soon as possible, we really appreciated that. The property is located slightly further away from the town center, about 10 minutes walk. Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious, especially the bathroom which was modern and very clean. The room has a private balcony which offers a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. The staff at Seecafe are very polite and helpful too. We had a pleasant stay though short. Highly recommend.

You pay for the view

The view is amazing. It has a charming balcony and a shared garden with chairs offering great views. The bed is big and comfortable.

The design of the WC has some flaws, particularly in the toilet and sink area, which is narrow and not efficient for guests. I struggled a bit, and I am 172 cm tall. However, the shower is great. There were some basic kitchen items to prepare tea or coffee, including a kettle, but it was disgusting. It seems someone made noodle soup in it some time ago, and the kettle was never cleaned afterward. The room is pretty basic and limited, including the hangers. Check-out at 10 am.

A very comfortable stay

Views of the lake were magnificent. We were away from the hustle and bustle of the town during the day which was excellent. At night it was a short walk to restaurants and a lot quieter with the day tourists gone. Shower was very good and the bed was comfortable.

A lesson in reading the full description. No tv (although that not a big deal unless they have English speaking channels) and no fridge. The bathroom towels were small and very thin. We were given extra towels when asked. This is not a reason not to stay here though. The room was spacious, comfortable and had a balcony with the most amazing views.

Great location on the lake. The view from the balcony was amazing. Great shower with spa like showerhead. Close to everything and the affiliated restaurant next door, Seecafe, had delicious food and reasonable prices.

Amazing view but hard to fully enjoy it in summer without cold drinks.

We came by car. Park directly at P2. Its always full, but if you are staying here, its worth waiting in line. And 3 mins walking to the hotel. The view and location are the highlights of this place. You are close to everything, yet far from the noise. People are very helpful and kind. After 6pm, when the nearby cafe closes, its completely quiet. Truly peace.

We stayed during summer and while AC wasnt needed but a small vantilator would have helped. The lack of a fridge is a big downside. There is only a kettle which is fine for winter but in summer its really limiting. After 6pm around everything closes, including the cafe, and there is no place to buy drinks unless you pay €5 at vending machines around. Even a small fridge would make a big difference. The room also needs a bit of maintenance. Still, considering how expensive to stay in this town, this is one of the best and most affordable options. Dont hesitate to stay, just consider these points.

I could spend the whole summer here....

The picture didn't do the property justice. We have an amazing lakefront view. Room is well equipped. Not as spacious as we'd like it given we have 2 large luggages, but not cramped and still very comfortable. Host (or staff) was very responsive with immediate support when we ran out of bath gel. Check-in and check-out were efficient. It's next to SeeCafe which is another bonus. SeeCafe serves breakfast and food throughout the day until 6 pm. Excellent breakfast and more lake view. Easily understood why it's popular.

Perhaps just the bugs that came through the open window. But would still opt for natural breeze over AC.

A quiet comfortable room with great views of Hallstatt

Lakeside Apartments is located on the lake at the edge of the village in a very quiet and tranquil area away from the hustle of the village. We chose this location for this reason. However, I feel the name doesn’t reflect an apartment. There were no cooking facilities and only a kettle and 2 cups and 2 glasses (no coffee or tea supplied). This room is a hotel room, nothing more. We booked room 5 on the upper floor. It has a balcony which we utilized a lot in the mornings and at the end of the day sipping wine on our balcony watching the views of the lake and the village of Hallstatt. We arrived in Hallstatt via train and ferry. It was a 12 minute walk to the hotel from the Markt ferry station. There is another ferry drop off (Lahr) however the ferry from the Hallstatt station didn’t drop off there. Otherwise, from Obertraun it would have been a 2 minute walk to the hotel. Check-in was easy from the nearby Seecafe restaurant during opening hours. Keys and directions were given by the restaurant staff. After hours there is a lock box provided for the keys if needed. The room was clean and comfortable and adequate size. The beds comfortable and we had peaceful sleeps. There was ample storage space in the closets provided. The bathroom modern with a lovely shower. Side note: Perhaps the owners could replace the towels as they are quite thin. The bed linens are starting to wear as well. Free wifi was provided but it was spotty at best. It kept going in and out leading to some frustrations when trying to use it. There was no TV in the room (not a problem at all for us) but others may want to have one. The adjacent Seecafe was a definite gem and we ate 2 delicious meals (breakfast and dinner) there. Very good value in this highly touristic village. Be sure to eat there if staying at Lakeside. We had a great stay in Hallstatt and particularly loved the balcony and the area we stayed in. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay.

The view from balcony is amazing. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Facility is very clean. Great foods, services and more amazing views from the Seecafe downstairs (photos attached). Love everything about this place.

Good location, not value for money.

Very overpriced, mattress in terrible condition, no amenities provided, hand soap, body lotion and shampoo were filled with all the same orange soap. Room was dirty, mattress covered in what looked like bed bug droppings, but hoping they were not. They could’ve told us we could drive in, drop our bags then go park but instead we had to lug our big bags across the town to the house.

Incredible view. Comfortable bed and clean, modern bathroom. Cafe next door which is very convenient for breakfast and there is a little supermarket and ATM within 2 minutes walk.

Would have been nice to have a little mini fridge as the shops and restaurants nearby aren't open very late.

Mehr Schein als Sein: Lage top, Sicherheit flop

Die Unterkunft ist an einer tollen Lage mit Blick auf den See und auf das ca 500 m entfernte Zentrum von Hallstatt.

Unser Balkon konnte nicht betreten werden da die Balkontür defekt war. Zusätzlich war das Zimmer dadurch nicht verschlossen und wir konnten keine Wertgegenstände im Zimmer lassen. Beim Fön fehlt das fordere Sicherheitsgitter und die Stromleitenden Drähte können bei unvorsichtigem benutzen berührt werden. Das Haus ist sehr hell hörig und ab halb 8 hält sich keiner an die quiet hours. Leider ist frühstücken im Seecafe nicht wirklich einladend da es dort stark nach Fritteuse riecht. Die Unterkunft ist sehr auf den Massentourismus ausgerichtet. So wie leider ganz Hallstatt.

Overnachten in een sprookje.

De locatie en het overweldigende uitzicht! En beneden in het Seecafe een heerlijk ontbijt gehad met hetzelfde uitzicht! Ik moet erbij zeggen, Wij hadden echt geluk met het goede weer. Wij mochten er zelfs al eerder inchecken. Modern ingericht, mooie badkamer en goed bed. Maar eigenlijk kom je aan slapen niet toe vanwege mooie panorama op het balkon.

Wij hebben geen minpunten.

No tenía nevera, estaría bien que incluyeran una, ni que fuera chiquitilla, ya que así puedes guardar bebida fresca o alguna cosa que compres en el supermercado que hay cerca.
