The communication with the team at BlueMoon Matterhorn Apartments was fantastic. They really helped us with our stay and nothing was too much trouble. The apartment itself is in a great location for accessing the ski resort, there's a chair lift right outside the accommodation and the main gondola only a short ski down the hill. We couldn't fault it.
6.0 / 10.0
The apartment is located above the historic village of Cervinia. While the village and lifts can be reached theoretically on foot, a car is basically a requirement. Communication was good. For one to two nights acceptable, but not really suited for a comfy longer stay with a family.
A bit pricey for what it is. Apartment very small, mattress of double bed not very comfortable, bunkbed room tiny. Parking (not necessarily available) costs extra - there are not enough parking spaces since the building is surrounded by other high-rise apartment buildings.

I like the location
The fast response from the host
The maid forgot the clean equipment at one of the apartments we choose
I told the host about and she said she will take them but never happened and they were there till the last day
Wi-Fi in one apartment didn’t work for a day and very slow for the rest of our stay.
But all of this didn’t make us upset as our target was skiing .

-The location is brilliant.
-I was able to walk down 2mins to the slope beside matterhorn apartments that connects real close to the lifts to plain maison junction. (Red piste)
-I also have a choice to walk from La Grand'ourse building 1min through a small forest to use a slope that also connects to the plain maison lifts. (Red piste)
-Bus stop outside both matterhorn apartments and la grand'ourse apartments.
-both matterhorn and la grand'ourse apartments were warm and comfortable, equiped with everything you need.
-There is a ski locker in la grand'ourse
-rental shop and ski pass office outside of matterhorn apartments
-the staff are brilliant and helpful and they send you video tutorials and pdfs. They are excellent
- if youre booking multiple apartments for a big group, be aware you might be in separate buildings on the hill, with ice and snow. Only way up is walking or by bus and can be annoying with luggage, ice and snow. Now if you have a car then its no problem.
-If youre in a group and are looking for more privacy matterhorn apartments only has a curtain separation. La grand'ourse on the otherhand offer better privacy with door and sliding door separation
-theres no ski locker in matterhorn apartments just a spot by the door
-the electrician job in la grand'ourse is not very good, if you have too much things plugged in, it trips the circuit breaker.

Warm and cosy.
The location is a bit far away from the centre. You need the car to go to centre.

Good location with direct access to the ski area. There is also a bus that can take you into town. The apartment itself was nice, clean, and we enjoyed staying there. e
The property owner/management was hard to deal with at times and would get frustrated with clarifying questions for the listing or wouldn't be willing to provide answers and would just say to reference the check-in information. Apartment was a bit of a walk to get to, using two elevators and stairs.

Location is really nice however not for lazy people who don't like walking. Its about 25 minutes walk to town. Down hill one way and up hill back :-). Beautiful scenery around
I just don't like such a huge block of apartments but you just there to sleep so it didn't bother us. Apartment itself was very cosy and equipped with everything you may need

Decent sized apartment for a family of 4. Having a washing machine was very helpful. Location ok with ski in ski out IF lifts are open (which only worked once during our stay). Convenient to have a restaurant and a mini market in the block
Top Bunk bed not really usable as could easily fall out
No kettle provided in the end so we had to boil water in the saucepan!
If lifts don’t work then it is very inconvenient to get to slopes
After my stay the communication seemed to have stopped and I heard nothing about getting my deposit back, which is very poor esp as we tried to keep the conditions of the apartment immaculate

The place was clean.
YOU HAVE TO PAY €300 DEPOSIT.
They should say it on top of the description but instead it is mentioned somewhere in more information.
The room was non refundable and I could not cancel it after I realized about the deposit right after booking it.
After I made the booking, it was required to pay all in advance which was non refundable. They sent a message that I have to pay 300 euro deposit and when I leave the place if everything is fine they will pay me back.
I got a message from unknown number asking me to send them my credit card details to block the deposit on my account.
Of course I could not trust someone randomly contacting me on WhatsApp. I contacted Booking costumer service, and apparently it was written on the general info of the accommodation.
So I had payed for the accommodation and basically I could not check in untill I would pay €300. I was not comfortable sharing my credit card details with them so I had to pay the deposit and then they told me they would pay me back if everything was fine. All of this was only for one night. How on earth can someone damage a place €300 for a night. So during my journey to Cervina I had to waste my time contacting Booking and the accommodation agent all the time. I could not enjoy the view just staying on the phone for 3 hours. When we paid them deposit I received an information letter about the self check in and the rules. One of the rules was that we had to TAKE all the TRASH OUT OURSELVES because the housemaid might not come for cleaning for a couple of days. It was written that if you don't take the trash out you might have to pay a penalty which will be taken from the deposit.
During our stay the electricity went off a few times and we were told to check it out ourselves from the corridor or whatever outside our room.
So apparently there was no one around to take care of these things.
Also we could not adjust the temperature of the shower.

Everything was nice.

Location was OK, ski in / out.
Really disappointed with quality of accommodation - was nothing like the advertised images. Was not clean. Looked like overbooking situation meant we were shoved in any old apartment. Tried to move, no alternative available. Only option offered was to cancel booking, get %age refund then try to book somewhere else. Really bad solution to offer guests. Not happy with quality, old fashioned, difficult location, not as advertised and didn't meet expectations.

great little apt, very compact and would not recommend for more than 3 people (2 adults and a child). Had everything we needed and great ski in and out location. Team very helpful.
Very large apt block and complicated and long winded to navigate to upstairs apts

From ski to bed, really great, we had a small problem with electricity but Chiara fixed this as agreed
We lived in the ground floor and have no access to comon ski storage areas in the condo, therefore we had skies next to table which I found quite unpleasant

Good room. Spacious enough. Good location to get to the lift for intermediat level of skiiers. There is restaurant and bar in this condominium. The ski rent as well.
Good instructions for check in but still had a problems to find the condominium and a specially rooms. It's a little bit strange to understand where is the room 4 when you see doors like this 2,9,10,11, 3 and no 4. In the end someone told us that it is probably on the first floor. Also you have chalenge how to get into the building. Probably we where not very attentive to the instruction. A lot of words but I prefer less instructions and more convenient check in.

The apartment is literally next to a chairlift so you could normally ski to door. When we went, it was closed though because it didn't snow for a while. There is also a family restaurant next door, the food is average but good enough if you don't feel like going out.
It's quite far and cumbersome to get to the center or to the gondola without a car. The building is located on a hillside, above the town center. It would have been terrible to walk up and down fully equipped.
Not related to the property itself: some of the buildings in town look quite old or are halfway demolished. There is also surprisingly few green vegetation around. Overall it gives the resort a bit of a desolated vibe.

good value. amazing location on the 13 run. nice little ski hire shop and pizza restaurant next door, owners very helpful, on street parking right by it
the description of a separate bedroom is a little ambitious - more an area of the same large beds it separated by curtains and an interesting tree branch arrangement - not really a problem for me and 21 year old son but if you had 2 couples it might limit the getting jiggy unless you are all very open minded…
