Hotel Edelweiss 3 Stelle SUPERIOR

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Edelweiss. Travelling with a dog can sometimes make finding a really good hotel difficult, so the welcome here was particularly impressive. On arrival, there was even a little doggy bag with treats waiting for our dog – such a thoughtful touch and a wonderful start to our stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly, but what really stood out was how personal and attentive the service was. We felt genuinely welcome throughout our stay. The food was outstanding. Dinner was of exceptional quality, with a very good choice of dishes for both the primo and secondo courses as well as dessert. Breakfast was equally impressive, with an excellent range of choices. I would wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Edelweiss to anyone travelling with a dog – it is wonderful to find a hotel where dogs are made to feel so welcome rather than simply being permitted. But I would recommend it just as highly to anyone travelling without a dog because of the exceptional service, excellent food and overall quality of the experience. A truly lovely hotel and one we would be very happy to return to.

Nice hotel with very good location.

The rooms were spacious enough and the beds were comfy.

We can overlook the fact that the facilities are dated, but two things disappointed. Travel with kids we need a bathtub, but once we filled the one in the room, all sorts of nasty stuff (pieces of plastic, hair, black bits) came out of the jacuzzi vents. Needless to say, we didnt let our kids take a bath. Also, we wanted to use the sauna/jacuzzi faciltiies of the hotel at 4pm, but were told (arbitrarily imo) that we cannot take the kids at that time anymore. Nowhere was this prior specified.
