Well appointed hotel with great facilities and staff.

The hotel has a spacious lobby and reception area. The decor and furnishings are very good. The room was large and well appointed. The beds were large and comfortable. The bathroom had a walk in shower but we could use the bath as the flow of hot water was so slow. The balcony overlooked the pool and had a view of the sea. Everywhere was clean and tidy. All the staff in all areas were very helpful and pleasant..

Only the issue with the bath otherwise the bathroom was well equipped. The Fusion Restaurant was not open which was a disappointment.

A relaxing at this lovely welcoming hotel. It never disappoints!

This is my third visit to Villa Gadea, it’s a beautiful property with helpful and cheerful staff in a great location.

It’s hard to say that I disliked anything, I wouldn’t have come back on my third visit if that were the case.

a well run resort

food was "the same" after the first few days, items on buffet often cold [eg scrambled eggs] pool chairs were an issue, with lots reserved, but nobody using them for hours on end, which in a few cases resulted in unpleasantness/arguments among guests.

Great hotel just needs a few tweaks to bring back to excellent.

Stayed at this hotel several times over the years. Breakfast is good but quality dropped a bit. Cocktails not great. Staff excellent. Upgraded to junior suite as we required 2 bedrooms however 2nd bed was a sofa bed so not ideal. Very clean and quality hotel.

Requirement of 2 bedrooms forced us into upgrading cost to Jnr suite. If advertising cocktails ensure bar staff can produce good ones. Breakfast pastries sub standard - less choice more quality!

Lovely stay, helpful staff.

Pools outside were nice, but freezing. Indoor heated pool was great. Hotel was apparently 80% capacity but felt very empty and not fully open. No kids club etc. Perhaps it was still low season (Easter)

Great decor and friendly staff. Good breakfast - spa was well worth the 25 Euros for the steam and sauna and bathes. Gardens and pool area very nice and well maintained

This was our second stay here and we were not disappointed! Friendly staff especially at the swim up bar! A short walk to the beach and beach bars.

would not reccomend L”olleta restaurant nearby as it was very expensive and very average food.

The architecture of the building is very interesting, great pools, service in the bars and restaurant, cleanliness.

Strong smell of aromatizers in the lobby, the territory is not treated from insects, it was impossible to sit on the balcony in the evening because of it there is no coffee machine in the room, the beach is far away, it is inconvenient to walk.

Food was good (plenty for vegetarians), lovely surroundings, comfortable bedrooms. Nice pools and access to unspoilt stony beach.

Bit of a walk from Altea (40 min) but taxis available and reasonable.

I like the city but the hotel was not a 5 star but a low 4 star lacking charm.

Location and lobby decor

Location good breakfast was ok but not a 5star value. Spa was not included and has to pay 30 euros per 75 min for use of spa. Anything over the time of 75 minutes then you would pay double. Staff was not attentive and it lack that feeling of staying in a 5 star.
