Overall good, comfortable and value for money

Good location; nice room and spotlessly clean

Food in evening was hit and miss as had run out of prawns starter and lasagne and was only 7pm. Breakfast generally good although had no salmon to serve with scrambled eggs/salmon from menu

Room was fine

The issue was breakfast on the 2nd morning which is supposed to start at 8 am the place was in darkness until 8.15 am when the handyman let me in and explained he didn't know what was going on ,I was prepared breakfast by the chef but also i couldn't get an invoice for my stay which is critical for business travel. Truly unprofessional by the management ,but the handyman did save the day the

Quick overnight stop.

The staff absolutely made the stay. All went the extra mile to make it a pleasant stay. The local clientele made me very welcome. Great night being a local and fabulous breakfast. Way to go team Oak.

Great accommodation near to Stoneleigh Park

Location is good for the Showground, and lots of places to walk dogs Staff were lovely Dog friendly Value for money. Very reasonably priced for bed and breakfast. Good food. Really enjoyed breakfast. Clean room, bathroom needs updating. Great hanging area for clothes Tea and coffee making facilities.

Couldn’t get the shower to run hot continuously Shower glass panel doesn’t sit well onto the bath edge due to the bath handle. The mattress was very firm Wonky tap over the basin in the bathroom Room would benefit from an additional light near the mirror

Little gem in Bagington

We've been staying at The Oak in Bagington for the last 2.5 years, a couple of times a year. Free parking, comfortable clean room, excellent menu of tasty breakfast and dinner, free wi-fi in the room and pub areas, excellent selection of drinks in the pub, TV and always a great friendly atmosphere. The pub is dog friendly. Our stay is always a great value for money. Our last stay happened on Monday, when we enjoyed the special Monday discounts of 25% off food and 50% off alcohol. This coincided with my Birthday celebration, and needless to say, it's been amazing! 🙂

Lovely inn in a quiet, but stunning location.

Location was great for me. The rooms are in a separate building behind the pub, plenty of parking spaces and the staff were all very friendly.

As the outdoor seating area was hidden from main road, it was used at 3am by a group who woke me up and kept me awake until they left. My room was by the exit door, so very noisy when people came in from the pub and when they left for work at 6am. I didn't sleep well here.

Basic, unfriendly staff at breakfast, no atmosphere.

Excellent service from the gentleman who checked us in, he was attentive and friendly with the check-in process and our evening meal was brought to us in good time, thank you.

We found the attitude of the breakfast staff to be quite abrupt and rude, we arrived at 4 minutes to 8 and explained that as we had a dog with us would it be ok to sit in the bar area (as we had done the night before), to be met with 'I don't start breakfast until 8', it was 4 minutes to so I said we would wait. My daughter ordered breakfast and told them I had a dairy allergy and I didn't want chilli flakes on my 'smashed avocado with toast' I was expecting fresh avocado without chilli flakes, I received a basic slice of bread toasted with pre-bought avocado spread (similar to guacamole that you buy from the chiller with chilli flakes in the product), hugely unsatisfactory. My daughter was given a cup with sachets of sugar that were impregnated with dirt and caused residue on bottom of cup, when she asked for a clean cup it seemed too much of a chore to the waitress, very unfriendly staff and we certainly will not be returning.

Breakfast was poor never offered continental breakfast choice just menu of cooked options had to ask for alternative not very helpful service staff

Should have Had continental display of choices..for breakfast...more helpful and friendly welcoming staff...outside areas scruffy with empty beer bottles and glasses broken slabs generally scruffy and un cared for..room ok but needs work broken tiles and light and loose tap..cleaner very helpful...Best member of staff there

Will definitely return - customer service was amazing!

I arrived late and was still welcomed, and managed to get some food. The room was lovely and cosy with a really nice bathroom. The facilities were fab - nice coffee machine, freshly baked biscuits, nice towels and bedding. I didn't have a lot of time for breakfast, but Jude was really nice and made sure I was served quickly - the menu choices were amazing and I wish I had more time! The location was also perfect and again, I wish I had arrived in daylight and spent time here! The atmosphere within the whole hotel was lovely - nice fairy lights throughout downstairs which I loved!

Happy we found The Oak

Excellent food in the evening, well cooked, good portions and didn't have to wait long. All served with a friendly smile. Quality real ales. The room was warm, comfortable and more than adequate. Breakfast very reasonable, nicely cooked and set us up for the day. We come to this area every year and are pleased to have found the Oak for the first time and will stay again.

Lovely clean room, freshly appointed with a very nice attached pub.

The bathroom in my unit needed to be renovated. The tiles on the floor were cracked, missing grout and in general bad repair. The mirror in the bathroom was microscopic.
