Odd area for hotel

13 mins walk from train station and close to city centre. Plenty of restaurants nearby.But odd location for hotel in the middle of some run down houses.

Room was always cold, I had call reception twice to get it fixed. When you sat up in bed, the bed moved away from the wall so a tad impossible to sit up reading.

The TV was in an odd location you couldn’t watch it comfortably from the sofa or the bed as it cut off half the screen.

A good value stay especially if breakfast is booked.

The staff were very friendly and efficient, the room was clean with air conditioning and controllable temperature. The bed was very comfortable with 2 pillows but I could've done with a heavier duvet or an extra blanket. Probably could've put the temperature up but didn't want any noise in the room from air conditioning. The breakfast was excellent with nice seating areas and the hotel had a car park next to it at a reasonable charge. Very close to the city centre and ring road with a few shops opposite.

The area was a bit run down, and busy, but it's in an old part of Coventry. The hotel itself was fine with a well kept foyer and good welcome and ideal for a Coventry stay with secure parking.

But of a let down

They let us check in early

No customer service skills on the desk, kinda rude and dismissive. Dirty stains on the bedsheets. Rubbish fitness centre. Only one towel provided. No plug sockets by the bed.

The best choice for stay in Coventry

Great location at the Earlsdon area, one of the most popular areas in Coventry. Shops, bars, restaurants, everything is there. 10 mins walk to Coventry city centre. Lovely staff at the reception desk. Parking available in the garage, 8.00£ per 24h. The room is nice and spacious, and the bed is comfortable. The iron, hairdryer, glasses, cups and kettle are provided. 10th-floor room offers a wonderful view of Coventry city! I stayed at multiple places in Coventry, but this one is by far the best.

Check in was straight forward. Was a it disappointed that I had to pay for car parking, why is this not part of the room costs? Also bit disappointed that my room rate solid not include a breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable for my overnight needs

The rooms are not sound proof….

Relatively convenient location for Coventry city centre - a fifteen minute walk / five minute taxi. Large bedroom window for view and light.

The car park was badly lit and reminded me of a crime scene. Our bathroom (room 1006) smelled of cigarette smoke and had no extractor fan. No sockets by beds. The beds were very hard. The bedroom walls were paper thin. The couple next door were seemingly oblivious to this and decided to have very audible PM and AM ‘sessions’. The hotel had been recommended by Coventry swim club for their autumn meet so mine may not be the only teenager that had to listen to that. I mentioned to the receptionist on checking out and she told me she would mention it to the maintenance department….

Very pleased with my stay

Very impressed with this hotel,I stay here on a regular basis for the ice hockey,had room 508 which was excellent.

Not sure about how secure the car park is,I have stayed in the ncp car park the last couple of times.

The location for our trip was perfect. The rooms were spacious and the hotel itself was modern.

The comfiness of the beds weren’t great. The bar staff didn’t seem to have a sense of urgency around them.

Decent budget hotel if you need to be in Coventry

Bedroom suite upgrade was welcome and rooms were clean and reasonably well fitted out. Not luxurious but the price wasn't either. A decent overnight stop but nothing more

We had a fantastic stay, the service was excellent and the room was comfortable. We’d definitely recommend it.

We had a great weekend! The room was spotless, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was top-notch. It’s also a great location for sightseeing and visiting the attractions.

The only downside was the flickering light in the bathroom.

Great breakfast. It would be better if there was plant protein in the veggie sausages.

Lovely hotel. Would stay again

Location was perfect for the conference I was attending at the rugby ground. Parking next door was excellent and reasonably priced for 24hrs. Breakfast was lovely. Lots of choice. Staff very attentive.

Pillows were hard and the TV in room 1103 is in such a position that you can’t really watch it from the bed or the sofa.

Avoid the Empire at all costs unless you like squalid conditions

Rooms dirty, hotel smells bad, black mould in the shower, punch hold in the bathroom door, awful decor - paint splattered wardrobe. Power sockets not working so my phone almost died, lumpy bed, hard mattress. Significant noise from the road outside. On top of that.. no bar, no restaurant meaning my evening plans had to change - the hotel photos show both, as well as clean rooms.. must have been taken at another hotel. NCP carpark attached - with very few spaces, parking charge not included. I will never ever stay there again.

Considering we paid extra for a Superior room the first room we were allocated was poor We spoke to girl on reception who moved us to a bigger room. Having stayed in The Maldron and the Crowne Plaza just before our visit the Ramada was nowhere near as good and a lot dearer (Booking.com)

It is very good and i will always use Ramada anytime i am in coventry.

The room, bed, toilet and towels were all clean. The ironing machine is very good quality. The shampoo, shower gel are very good.

One bulb was faulty. Generally the light intensity is very low which is not suitable for late hour of work. It is preferable to have a small fridge inside the room to keep the drinks cool.
