It was very central, only steps from the Cathedral and the Gross Market, shops cafes and restaurants. Very good value in an expensive city. Clean and comfortable, would definitely stay again

Location amazing, room a nice size, bed very comfy, front of hotel and the entrance hall very nice and welcoming. Hotel is situated in a very prime location and there are so many bars and places open in the area that cause a lot of noise but these windows are insulated and I found the room very peaceful. Fun decor

The pillows were not great, there was some dust and litter underneath the bed, and the shower leaked all over the floor due to a design flaw with the door.

Everything else. Broken window. Dangerous staircase. Staff not there at various times. We got bitten by some sort of insect. Sink about 3cm from my pillow. Shower leaked everywhere. No aircon. Dreadful

It was a cute family run hotel in a great location, just a few quirks to be aware of.

I liked location of hotel.

Was asked when booking about arrival time and got a response that it would work (check in at 3, we would be arriving around 2 due to bus schedule). Received another email a couple days before arrival asking about check in time, again I said around 2p. This time I was told we could drop off our bags but check in was not until 3p. That was fine, until we got there. Need a code or room key to get into the hotel. We rang the ‘doorbell’ a few times, no answer. Finally a gentleman saw us and went to get someone, who honestly seemed quite annoyed. Told us we should have received a code in advance through booking.com and that I did it all wrong, etc, etc. However, did take our bags until check in time so that was all good. When we arrived later to check in we were given room # and when we got there the room hadn’t been cleaned, same with second room they gave us (this was late in the afternoon and cleaning staff gone). Third room was fine. Just a couple FYIs - there is no lift and stairs/staircase very narrow. Would be difficult with big suitcases. Also no air conditioning (we had a fan) and open shower to the room so if you like privacy this is not the room for you

Lovely little city centre hotel, helpful staff; I was just there at a noisy time of week/year.

Very helpful and friendly staff, with excellent communication. Lovely decor, and a lovely comfortable bed. Excellent location, in the heart of Antwerp. Nice shower. Air cooler (ice water type) provided, as it was in a summer heatwave. (I didn't eat there, so I can't comment on that)

Most of the negatives were outside of the control of the hotel (partly due to the time of year I stayed), and not their fault, so not criticism, but I'll mention them anyway: Due to the nature of the old building, there was only a small steep staircase with narrow treads, no lift/elevator, quite tricky to manage with a large suitcase to the top floor where I was, especially descending. Again due to the old building, and being a Friday night, the windows were not well sealed against noise, and there were loud partygoers/revellers until around 4am outside - I had earplugs in, but they couldn't compete with the shouting outside. And at around 5:15am onwards, doors banging and noise inside the hotel, in neighbouring room, as guests either arrived or got up (went quiet at around 5:45ish). So (with the hot room due to the mini-heatwave) I basically didn't sleep much! Again, not the fault of the hotel - just the nature of city centre life, and I am a light sleeper! At other quieter times of the year, and other days of the week, I am sure none of this would be a problem at all.

Wonderfully located and decorated hotel, we had a great stay!

Incredible location, right next to the cathedral with lots of fantastic bars and restaurants right on the doorstep! Loved the unique decoration of the room and the stained glass windows. Staff were also great, the online check in was really easy and they were really helpful with communication

It gets a bit noisy outside at night being so centrally located, but this didn’t really bother me or my partner and can’t be helped

Great stay for a short trip, just in the middle of Antwerp!

Location is very good and convenient. They quickly changed our room after we flagged an issue with the window. The new room was quieter, so we were very grateful. The bed and pillow were very comfortable and the room had everything for a short stay. Lovely hotel decoration!

The bed was extremely small for two people The location is central but there is no aircon meaning in summer you need open windows. If like us you are there on the weekend you will not sleep 5 minutes. The noice is unbearable and goes on until 0630. Therefore the night was extremely uncomfortable as it was hot, noisy and the bed was small

A great location in the old town and walking distance from all the different sites from galleries, museums - the square itself has bars, cafes, restaurants and near the shops. A real mix of quaint with new. The staff are friendly and helpful - the hotel is well designed and the breakfast was good.

The room was a bit hot but was really nicely designed and roomy The only thing that would make it better is to have some facilities like a kettle in the room to make a cup of tea or coffee. There is no lift and we were on the 3rd floor.

Room was nicely decorated. Great view from the window as the cathedral was right next to the hotel. Shower was excellent :)

Awfully noisy. We had to shut all the windows in order to block the crazy noise as much as possible. But still, we could hear the noise from the street till 5 am. We could barely sleep. Also, as we couldn't really open the windows, the room gradually became too warm. Also, no elevator available. It was pretty inconvenient for a family with elderly parents.

Perfect hotel if you’re not a fan of chain hotels but like some nice comfort.

I loved the quirkiness and fun vibe of my room. The hotel is right in the centre of town, with lots of bars, restaurants and the cathedral next door - so keep that in mind when booking. The bathroom was huge with a nice rain shower. I’ll be back!

I would have loved one or two Nespresso capsules in my room, to make coffee. I was too lazy to go downstairs to ask for it - next time I’ll bring some, to make sure I can have my wake up coffee.

The property was located next to the Cathedral with access to everything! The rooms were inviting, clean, quiet and the shower…AMAZING🥰 Laurie is the most gracious and accommodating host ever! I cancelled part of my trip in another town to come back! simply amazing!

Not a hotel, but rather a motel

I thought that the breakfast was going to be a buffet but it was not, it was specifically made for me by the owner which was quite cute. Room was clean.

The location was hard to find since I arrived with a taxi. In their description they said that check-in is possible whenever and I thought that they had a 24/7 front desk because they claim to be a hotel, but in reality it was more of like a motel and they had just left my room key card to the front desk without supervision. The building had no elevator and I had to carry a heavy suitcase in the SMALLEST STAIRCASE OF MY LIFE. The room was also hard to find since it was behind a black door that didn't say "Rooms" or anything, so I had to contact the owner in the middle of the night to even find my room. A lot of noice from the street. Weird room layout; the shower was next to the bed and the "toilet room" didn't have a mirror.

The location is simply perfect, just in front of the Cathedral and within walking distance to the main attractions. The staff is very friendly and helpful, we arrived late and it was possible to self check-in in a very uncomplicated way.

Being so central, it can be a bit loud in the evening, but you can't expect otherwise from such a great location!
