Tawara-an

We had a really enjoyable experience here. The entire place was very tidy and clean, and we like the location. It was a short walk from many restaurants activities and shops. Also there was great communication with the host at all times. We experienced no problems during our stay. And the air conditioning worked very good!

The location is amazing, especially if you want to be in the heart of Kyoto. Having lived at a hotels during most of our trip. This was a nice break to give us more space to move around as a family and really have a comfortable homebase as we explored the city and the surrounding area. Having a washer and dryer available to refresh our clothes in the middle of the trip was also great.

Wanted you to know that we thoroughly enjoyed staying at this traditional Kyoto machiya and the experience of staying there. It was incredibly clean and so well organized. The garden in the middle of the machiya is so beautiful and one night it just poured rain and thundered and we sat in the sofa and enjoyed watching the garden with some hot tea. It's a very special home and the owners/hosts are so welcoming and very helpful with any questions. My husband and I slept on the full-size mattresses and our 3 teens slept on the mats on the floor and all slept very well, very comfortable! I would absolutely recommend this machiya to anyone looking for a more traditional stay in Kyoto vs. a hotel.

Pobyt w Tawara-an był dla nas wyjątkowym doświadczeniem i zdecydowanie przerósł nasze oczekiwania. Obiekt ma niezwykły klimat. Można było poczuć atmosferę dawnego Kioto, jakby przenieść się 100 lat wstecz, ale jednocześnie z pełnym komfortem, spokojem i dbałością o każdy detal. To miejsce ma duszę. Na szczególne wyróżnienie zasługuje czystość, wyposażenie oraz staranność przygotowania pokoju. Dodatkowe posprzątanie pokoju po pierwszej nocy było dla nas bardzo miłym zaskoczeniem i pokazuje, jak wysoki poziom obsługi oferuje ten obiekt. Doceniliśmy również drobne elementy, które tworzą całość doświadczenia: pyszną kawę, zieloną herbatę, atmosferę, ciszę i wyjątkowy charakter wnętrz. Wszystko było dopracowane i bardzo komfortowe. Dla nas pobyt w Tawara-an był czymś więcej niż tylko noclegiem. To było piękne, autentyczne doświadczenie Kioto. Z całego serca polecamy ten obiekt osobom, które szukają miejsca z klimatem, historią i wyjątkową jakością obsługi.
