The traditional breakfast was amazing. We loved that the bed space living space and bathroom areas were separate for our family of four. The basement on onsen was a nice touch. Both nights we were there they had people come in to teach us about different aspects of the Japanese culture.

Everything, the staff were excellent. The breakfast was superb. Got to experience Japanese culture with the various evening activities that the hotel had put on for free. Loved our stay here.

Breakfast was great. Tatami rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Laundry facilities available to guests. Great location. Several places are within walking distance.
The hotel definitely has a dated vibe. The onsen was functional, but not somewhere where I'd want to hang out and relax in. I think overall the value for the cost was off especially compared to other hotels we stayed at in Japan. But maybe that is due to the fact your in the tourist town.
