Beautiful traditional house that is totally updated. Comfortable beds and futons, very quiet, near restaurants and stores, good central location.
A little overpriced considering other options available in Kyoto. Also, we were 2 couples and having only one main bathroom made it a little challenging.

I loved the space it provided for my large family. Everything was provided from toiletries to umbrellas. A Dyson hair dryer was an unexpected treat as well as very good skin care products.
A clothing iron would have been nice. There were some amazing restaurants within walking distance and a list of where to eat, places to visit would have helped along with any tips. Temples are closed on Mondays and visiting them at sunrise and sunset are great times to avoid the crowds.
