Shijo Chayado Karasuma

Very traditional looking place, spacious, 2 toilets a shower and a bath, beds were comfortable, futon a bit less but that’s the charm of them. There’s everything you need for a pleasant stay. Very close to the metro station, convenience stores, restaurants and the main avenue with the shops, that was great. It’s also a very quiet little street.

WiFi didn’t last all day even when we were spending the day out, not a big deal for us but might be others. Stairs are definitely sharp, so be mindful. And my tall husband struggled with the sitting on the floor for breakfast but we loved it! Also I think the bed sheets should be changed (I mean by buying new ones) as they were very bubbly. But all of that shouldn’t stop you from renting this place. We had an amazing stay!

Great location. Quiet neighborhood, 2 stops from the main station. I wish we had been able to stay in Kyoto longer. I would definitely stay here again when I return. The giant tub looked awesome, but we never used it due to the current heat wave.

The wifi is a Hotspot and it was very spotty. I'm not faulting the owners, as I never asked them to fix it and it was an excuse to keep the kids off their devices. Also, watch the stairs. The anti-slip on them can scratch the back of you calf.

In the bathroom and shower booth it was quite cold. It is needed to be equipped with heating. And this accommodation uses only fan heater to heat the rooms, It is too dry in the rooms.

お風呂、トイレはパッと見、綺麗でよかった。各部屋パッと見、綺麗で趣があってよかった。

箸とカトラリーケースがカビていた。食器類は使う気がしなかった。 布団もダニ等がいたのか、痒くなった。 お風呂の椅子がヌメヌメしていた。
