I loved absolutely everything about this property. During my trip to Japan, I primarily stayed in hotel/apartment style bookings, but while in Kyoto, I had the privilege of staying at this traditional house in a quieter neighborhood of the city. This was easily the most memorable and favorite place I stayed in while on my trip to Japan. The owner is very kind and easy to contact, and despite being a little tucked away, is not at all hard to get to. The luggage storage accommodation is also a life saver.
There was nothing that I didn’t like. Our check-in process was a little more difficult simply because the owner was ill at the time of our stay, but that wasn’t anything worth complaining about and won’t be an issue during future stays.

良くないわけではなく、相性の合わない方はいるかもしれません。
綻びや浴室のカビ、縁側の匂い、2階の埃っぽさなど築年数たてば当然のビンテージ感はあります。それを京町家の暮らしであり、積み重ねられた歴史だと思えない人は、新築ホテルへ行ったほうがいいかもしれません。
しかしシャワールームや寝具など特に気になる場所はきちんと新設されていますので、そんな方でも気持ち良く滞在出来ると思います。
