KYOTO SHIMA

So nice,great location, great host and fabulous puppy and did I mention the awesome breakfast

There was nothing I didn't like.

- The host Koji Shima is a super nice, attentive, helpful and funny person! Me and my parents had really good laughs with him and the food he prepared was awesome! His school friend helps him around the house and is also super lovely and friendly. They both helped my mom when she had troubles with her leg. - There is a dog Eddy who's suuuuper sweet 🤍 He's a pudel so I think he's hypoallergenic for those with allergies. - The place is really clean and has everything you need. It's really close to the train station, awesome location! - There are 3 rooms upstairs in total, 2 toilets (one upstairs, one downstairs) and a Japanese style shower/bath downstairs. Our room was comfortable enough for 3 people, but it's not big (you're in Japan, so that's expected) - You can use the washing machine for free and the dryer costs 100¥ for 10min, which is very reasonable. All in all it's a very cozy "home-like" place! Thank you very much for hosting us, we would definitely come back if we're in Kyoto! ☺️

The stairs that lead to the rooms are really steep. We didn't mind much, but just keep it in mind.

We had such a wonderful time at Kyoto Shima, our hosts were so friendly and helpful. We will be back!

Very close to Kyoto station only a few mins walk. Owner very friendly and good to talk to.
