What a view

When visiting St.Moritz, you have to book this place between the views, the walks, and the good food. Can't explain the quiet you experience up there. The journey starts with a funicular, and the staff operating it are very helpful. We found the perfect weather, and the night view overlooking St. Moritz is perfect from the restaurant whilst indulging in a great dinner.

Fantastic location with unique characteristics.

1. No temperature control at all - underfloor heating was absurdly hot - had to sleep with the balcony door open in January!! 2. Staff not very friendly - considering the high prices, we felt the hotel is trading on its unique location and is largely indifferent to customer experience. Take it or leave it?

Stunning location at the top of a funicular, with amazing views. There are a range of fabulous walks possible from the hotel Lovely outside terrace. Restaurant seves excellent food. Staff were all really friendly and helpful.

The location was amazing and the staff were friendly. They couldn’t do enough to make our stay very special. Annette at reception was professional but also warm natured. The breakfast staff were also exceptional. There was facility to make your own warm drinks in a lounge area. The walking from hotel was superb with levels for all.

A gorgeous mountain-top stay unlike any other.

Wonderful room with gorgeous view from the balcony. Staff was helpful and friendly. An experience you don't often get.

Lighting in the room was inadequate - no light near sofa so reading was impossible there. Also there was really no place to put bags so they needed to be unpacked and put in the closet but there was inadequate lighting there as well so it was difficult to see if we had cleaned everything out. Had to rely on cell phone flashlights.

Remote, romantic and so very authentic. The smell of the cedar as you enter your room is beautifully welcoming. Breakfast was to die for, including the cappuccino made by Alberto! From start to finish it was exemplary 11/10! Experiences of a lifetime.

A perfect escape

An amazing location steeped in history but super modern in a cosy wooden way! All very professional and surrounded by walks for all abilities. Really easy to get to the funicular from the stations nearby.

Lovely food but, obviously, there is no choice of where to eat so make sure you book a table as there were a lot of groups just dining there for the evening then heading back down the mountain.

Magnificent Muragl

Really nice hotel with perfect views over Saint Moritz and the surrounding Engadine Alps. Getting to the hotel via the Funicular was fun and something different, with excellent views during ascent & descent. The hotel decor is fairly new, clean and well maintained. The staff were all polite, multi-lingual and gave good instruction for the hotel, surrounding area and funicular timings. The hotel is also a good starting & finishing point for the many available alpine walks.

Our only minor negative point would be that they don't have a drinking bar. Drinks are available, but taken sitting in the restaurant, which we found not as sociable because other people were eating at adjoining tables in the restaurant.

Amazing

Perfect hotel to "get away from it all". Secluded with amazing views and various things to keep you occupied (if you need). The staff were very friendly and helpful right from the moment we entered the Funicular base station. Return fare and breakfast were included in the booking. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious and the breakfast offered plenty to choose from. Train station or bus stop is a short walk from the Funicular.

Lovely spot. We lived in the area for a few years and never took the opportunity to spend a night up the hill. Glad we finally did! Lovely short tram ride up the mountain offers spectacular views of the valleys around (as do the various terraces up top). Having a drink outside looking at the views very relaxing.

Great location but incorrect billing left a sour note to an otherwise enjoyable stay.

the hotel is built in a spectacular setting and the views really are amazing. The staff were all friendly. Breakfast offered a superb selection.

We only needed two things from reception and both times were let down-we did not have our tickets for the funicular waiting for us(from the reaction of the man in the funicular ticket office I think this is more than an occasional occurrence). A quick phone call sorted this out and the receptionist did apologise. Less easy to forgive is being presented with a bill for double what we should have been charged-we stayed two nights and the person preparing the bill used this as a unit rate so effectively doubling it. Fortunately I had my Booking.com bill to hand and showed this to the receptionist who checked the nightly rate for our room and did acknowledge that the rate on their invoice seemed to be wrong and corrected the invoice.

The views from the hotel were truly stunning & the fernicular transport there was memorable. The food was excellent.

My room at the back of the hotel, whilst new, was somewhat basic for the price paid but everything else at the hotel more than compensated.

The view from the hotel was amazing. I also spent some time walking on the mountain, with continuous spectacular views on the valley and surrounding mountains. I was also very well assisted with my travel plans for the next day, being provided with an early breakfast to meet my schedule.
