Great location for Capetown—easy to get around

Spacious, clean and great for larger groups. Location very easy to get around. Host very helpful and informative. Even provides very thorough walk through after check in and a guide book with recs, info about the house and more. It was such a lovely home and a great place to prepare and wind down from exploring Capetown area.

Booking.com advertises it as an accessible (full place on ground floor) but there was a set of windy stairs needed to access 2/4 rooms. Location of house is on a slope— not terrible but should be taken into consideration if anyone has challenges with slopes/stairs.

Great location and lots of room in amazing home

Very friendly and helpful owner. Great location within easy walking distance of restaurants and grocery store. Even waterfront can be walked to, though a bit far.

Though the owner said the tap water was drinkable, we bought large bottles of water at the grocery store.

Amazing Host, Amazing House, Amazing Pool, Amazing City!!

Firstly, Chris, the owner, contacted me prior to the trip to give insight into Cape Town and some helpful advice and tips on things to do and see, which was greatly appreciated. Secondly, upon arrival, Chris showed us around and made us feel very welcome. After receiving a tour of the house, he wished us a great holiday, and we got to enjoy the next 4 days in this amazing place. It was great value for money as the rooms all had en-suite bathrooms, and the outside area was amazing with a pool and a lovely seating area to BBQ and take in the relaxing Cape Town vibes. Very accommodating throughout and will be coming back to Cape Town in the future and will 100% be looking to stay here again.

Wonderful family shared space. The house was our center for friends & family to visit. Perfect.

Location was exceptional. Cycle event weekend. Walking distance to great restaurants. The large space for all of us. 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms rare find. Pool was wonderful with large patio.

Not much. Not enough pots & bowls in the kitchen. Few furniture pieces outdated or in need of repair.

Wish it had been for longer!

The house is beautifully decorated and laid out. Chris was an excellent host and provided lots of advice and tips to make the most of our stay. The location is great for getting out and about and we felt safe.

Excellent location. The house is comfortable and spacious. The beach towels and shower gel in each bathroom were appreciated.

I wouldn't consider the property to have a "sea view" even though there is a glimpse. Daily cleaning would be appreciated when on holiday. The swimming pool is not secure/safe for children.

Clean, spacious House in a nice area, perfect for remote working groups

We were a group of 8 partly on holiday and working. The Wessels House was perfect for that occasion. It is very spacey and also easy to work. Furthermore the house is well maintained and equipped as well as very clean. We felt very comfortable with the host Chris and would definitely recommend the house for remote working and holiday.

Beautiful place

Our stay at wessels house was awesome. The host is so kind and helpful. The house so cozy and elegant. Kitchen was spacious and well equipped, we spent much less on food becausewe could make home made meals. The location was perfect, a walking distance to most attractions. Our stay at capetown was definitely more fun because the choice of accommodation.

Lovely house, amazing host, don't look anywhere else for your stay in Cape Town!

The house was lovely. Large lounge with fireplace and an open plan kitchen with all amenities. The outside area has a nice sized garden which was safe for our two children to explore (both kids are under 3). As it was winter, we didn't use the pool, but it was fenced off for peace of mind and a am sure would be amazing in summer. The location of the house was very convenient. Shops and restaurants within walking distance and if you needed to, it would be very easy to walk into the city center as well. The VnA Waterfront is minutes away, and its very quick to drive to Lions head, Table mountain and the beaches along the coastline. Chris was an exceptional host and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We traveled with two small children and when we arrived he had set up the carry cot with special blankets as well as provided us with boxes of toys for the kids to be entertained with. This was not all, with him providing additional wood for the fireplace and even a couple beers for me while they were not able to be purchased. Really cant say enough about how fantastic he was in making sure we enjoyed our stay. Overall i would highly recommend you staying at this house for your trip.

Exceptional

Beautiful house, well maintained and clean. The owners, Chris and Jenny, are super friendly and accommodating. Very comfortable and fantastic location. Walking distance to Greenpoint Stadium and the V&A Waterfront. Very spacious accommodation and a fully equipped kitchen, beautiful entertainment area with pool. We loved our stay at Wessels House and will be back.

Exceptional

Chris the host was extremely helpful. Our son developed chicken pox during our holiday, Chris let us check in early (even though the cleaners were in) so we could get him comfortable. He helped us find a doctor and checked in on us constantly to make sure we were OK. We didn't get to enjoy the area as much as we'd hoped but it seemed to have everything we needed and was walking distance to the v&a
